- First night I encountered Enderman, I had no idea that they could teleport. I had my sound off, and after he teleported once, a creeper exploded behind me. I took this to mean that Endermen could create explosions at a distance.
- First night I encountered a creeper, I knocked him into a self-made waterfall, thinking they took water damage. He took out my bridge.
- Gold. "I need iron to mine it, it must be more effective." Disproven in ten seconds flat, when it broke after mining some iron with it.
- I had read about slimes, but not pumpkins. So I saw a pumpkin for the first time, and hid for about twenty seconds before realizing "wait, slimes are green, and this mystery block certainly isn't moving."
- You can not negate all fall damage with two blocks of water.
- Although it looked awesome, I nearly killed myself making giant lava towers to help guide my way back in the night. Partly from lava damage, and partly because I didn't know/disregarded #5.
- Best explained as "OH SWEET JESUS THERE'S A SPIDER ON MY ROOF!"
- Related to #7, I had no idea that spiders could jump. Sure it took fall damage, but if mobs can score criticals, it most certainly did.
- My first thought after seeing a charged creeper was "awesome, maybe it'll give me more sulfur/a rarer drop!" This was wrong. At least I wasn't carrying much.
- I read that TNT could be activated by using flint and steel on it, but did not know that it would blaze for a while. It was a bad idea to put it right next to a tree.
Does anyone else have any laughably stupid stories like these?

I remember when I was a Minecraft noob. I was so cautious yet I didn't know what I had to do...
I was scared when I saw a Creeper, yet now I keep them as pets in my habitats.

Did that even make sense?
