Recently i've been trying to work out this mod. I have to work, but all i want is the WAVING GRASS AND WAVING LEAVE. WinRar will not let me overwrite the "mincraft.jar/shaders" files. I would really appreciate if someone could help out, or at least link me to a video...THANKS.

Try 7-Zip instead of WinRar, that's what I use, works fine. Do you understand what changes to make?

Well, I don't have Facebook so I'll post here. I tried the updated shaders with the lightmaps out.

It actually works very well for me, some of the most pleasant balance of settings I've had yet. Performance same as versions 8 and 9 (seriously, no matter what shaders I use I'm pegged at 30fps). I would say the glow is a bit too intense, but that might be just a personal preference. I'll mess around with the shaders and lightmap-1.png and see if I can find a balance that works for me.

Running on a Radeon 6850, latest drivers, FYI.

    Good work! :)

Edit: Sun just set and the whole sky/moon/stars and horizon below the water level is bright green. Screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/xki9U.jpg

Gorgeous by day, hideous at night. Hopefully that can be fixed.

How do i turn down the motion blur it makes me feel sick when i play

thank you to any or can help me

The most fool-proof way is to download the shader set in the original post "Ultra No Motion Blur or DOF." Follow the instructions in the OP to replace your shaders.

If you want to keep DoF, or just use a reduced motion blur but still keep it, you need to edit the final.fsh file in /shaders/ with Notepad or Notepad++. Find the "#define MOTIONBLUR" and change to "//#define MOTIONBLUR" to disable it. Or change the value in the line below it "#define MOTIONBLUE_AMOUNT 1.0" I'm not sure if higher or lower is an increased effect though.

Okay, I don't get it. Is anyone else running this on a Radeon 6850? My performance is just abysmal. It maxes out at about 30fps and often dips into the low 20's. Normally that might be acceptable, but it feels like I also have some input lag, and it's just miserable.

Is it just me? Using the latest (non-beta) Catalyst drivers. I've been using GLSL Shaders since 1.7.3, if not earlier so I'm well experienced with installing these things, tweaking the features I want enabled, etc. I just have not been able to get acceptable performance out of default GLSL Shaders or this since 1.8.x.

I've used the following shader sets: Default, Ultra, Ultra no motion blur or DoF, and Lite. The performance hardly changes at all between Ultra and Lite.

Lastly, could one of you guys or gals that's been tweaking the shader settings (Lorca, block97), and have much richer colors please upload your shader set for people to try? All the ones I've used make everything look so washed out and I haven't had much luck tweaking them myself.

    Thanks.

    Hm... maybe there's a workaround.

Worked like a charm. The biomes certainly look larger now so I think it's accurate now.

    Thanks!

Also, a suggestion for the future; If it could remember the location of the last level.dat you opened, that would be handy. Currently it defaults to /AppData/Roaming/.minecraft/bin/saves. Which is fine for 99% of people I'm sure. No big deal, but every time I open one from my 1.3 folder, it's an extra 6 or 7 clicks.

I'm sorry if this has been answered, but I couldn't find it in the thread or through Google.

I'm trying to get AMIDST to show me a large biome world I have on the latest snapshot. If I just open the level.dat for it, it's inaccurate. It also doesn't look like the size of biomes I've experienced, so I'm thinking that it is not actually calculating everything with the large biome feature.

Does it use the minecraft.jar in AppData/Roaming/.minecraft/bin? If so, that's my problem as I'm using a portable installation for my snapshots and mod experiments. Can AMIDST be force to use the .jar from another location, or does the .jar have to be in AppData?

    Thanks.

    C:\Users\YourUserNameHere\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\texturepacks

On Windows, at least. Replace YourUserNameHere with your user name, of course.

The title says that MCPatcher 2.3.1_01 is compatible with the 12w03a snapshot, but I've tried it multiple times and keep getting a black screen when launching it after patching. Fresh .jar every time.

    Any suggestions?

Hi! Love this texture pack, but for some reason stone is glitched for me, and I see it as this: http://i39.tinypic.com/xor5oz.png It's extremely annoying in caves and keeping me from using the texture pack. I'm using the 128x version, is there any fix?

Use MC Patcher. Every time you update.

well guy's i finally figured it all out, thank u guys sooooooo much for the help. :biggrin.gif:
i only have one question though, how do i stop this?:

if u can't see whats wrong its the lines in the sand ( this also happens for desert, or dead. bushes)

Have you forced anti-aliasing on in your drivers? That's what did it for me. Unfortunately I can't use AA in Minecraft because of it.

With whatever you normally unzip .zip files with. If you need a program, I recommend 7-Zip.

why does it say invalid file when i try to import Shaders.rar????

    PLEASE SOMEBODY HELP!!!!!!!!

In the Installer.exe? Under File -> Import?

You shouldn't be importing a shaders.rar file at all. I don't even know what shaders.rar file you could have possibly gotten.

Just go to the OP, and click the link for the Wiki. Use the install instructions there. You are not following them, and that's why you're getting the error.

If you've already installed it, and are trying to change the default shaders with some alternative ones, still read the wiki. You just need to unzip the .rar file, and drag them into the proper folder. Details on the wiki...

I know I'm a newb but I have looked through your wiki from top to bottom and I cant seem to find the settings to add the "waving water" that is apparent in some of the more impressive YouTube videos of Minecraft ie. CinemaCraft. I thank you greatly for all the instruction and hours of work you have put into this and making my Minecraft experience a little more(imo)artistic. I am just asking if you could either add that to your wiki so everything would seem to be in one place or at least point me in the right direction so I can discover it for myself. I have been looking, reading, and googleing for the last 3 or 4 days, trying to find the script for the waving water and I have yet to find it. Please it is just a request from a fan. Please and thank you.

To my knowledge, none of the shaders for 1.0 support it. That was in the previous version of the mod for Minecraft 1.5-1.7.3 or so. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
