This is a really great texture pack you have created, jehkoba. I just wanted to say thank you and encourage you to keep up the good work.

Those are the exact two things I am considering.

I suggest you sell the HP and build a computer from scratch. HP is a terrible brand, and just piles bloatware on their computer. The cooling is absolutely horrible (mostly on the laptops, though), and for some reason HP feels it's necessary to replace the most basic of functions on the computer with some bloated, buggy and slow program that breaks half the time.
I built a computer just after I turned 15. It was actually very easy, the only problem I had was the damn plugs from the buttons on the front of the case. That won't break anything if you do it wrong, though. All you need is a screwdriver.
You can just give us your budget and if you need a mouse/keyboard/monitor, we'll debate over the best parts for a page or two and eventually settle on something for you to get. Also, word of advice, don't listen to anybody about computer parts until their post has been criticized. Some people just jump on here, think they know everything, and give some really **** advice.
We can link you a great step-by-step tutorial, too.
Anyway, about the graphics card. I have an ASUS radeon HD 6850, and I can easily max DayZ (although I play on Very High just because) - Skyrim maxes, MW3 maxes, BF3 is custom between max and the next step down. The 6850 is a great card, although the 7850 is a better option if you have the money.
Also, make sure your power supply has enough wattage. Google "[name of computer] power supply" and see if you can find its wattage, then tell us so we can determine if it's enough.
Every time I post in this subforum I am told to build my own computer.
I have removed all unnecessary programs, the computer is always cool to the touch and everything except my graphics and PSU are excellent. And I am replacing those things.
It would be pointless to sell my current desktop that works just fine to build my own. I do not have the time, patience or money.
As I said above, current power supply is 300 watts. I'm looking at getting a Corsair 600w and the Radeon 6850.
I am mainly looking to upgrade for Natural Selection II.

Lol pretzel moderator! Awesome!
300 watts isn't enough. Also, the power supply is most likely an unknown brand. I'd recommend getting a 450W power supply from OCZ or Corsair, before getting a 6850 graphics card.
Alright. Thanks for the help, I'll look into that.
Can I get a link to the card you are talking about? When I search "6850 graphics card" I am greeted with several different results.

6850 smashes the 550ti for the same price. It's whether or not your PSU is up to it. What wattage is it?
I found this, if it is any help.
- Supports PCI Express x16 graphics cards
- DVI and VGA ports (both ports can be used at the same time)
Sep 7, 2012I have an HP Pavilion p7qe Desktop and I just can't stand the graphics card on it anymore. The processor and RAM are great (i5-2500 and 8 gigabytes) but the Geforce GT 530 is terrible. I knew it was not the best when I bought it, but I didn't really KNOW how bad it was.Posted in: Hardware & Software Support
I have been looking at new ones but I have no idea how to tell if they will even work on my current computer.
^ That card was just the first one I looked at. Recommendations would also be very helpful.

I really like these textures. It make the villagers seem more... human. Anyways, I was wondering if I could use these in a texture pack I'm making for my custom map, and could I edit one or two of the textures. Of course I'll give you credit for your work. Thanks in advance.
Yes, you may include (remix) these villager skins in your own texture packs, modified, or as-is. You may do just about anything you like with this texture pack, so long as you credit me for my work. If you do include these villager skins in your pack, please post a comment in this thread and link to it!

Added the "Iron Brute" (Iron Golem) skin to the pack.
It's so elegant!
All of your villagers are truly amazing. You should consider making a full-blown texture pack.

I've always hated those default squidwards of villagers.
In my opinion, the iron golem isn't all that bad. All he needs is a little nose-reduction surgery.

Actually you get somehow worse performance with a Pre-Built because of all the crapware.
Not if you remove it.
But from what I've read in the reviews, the computer has almost no unnecessary software pre-installed.
