I have decided to start working on a type of texture pack completely different from what I am used to. I have made a simple-themed stone block, to start out.
    Regular:
    snip
    Tiled:
    snip

Get some repeat ctm on this or work on the tiling. But, not to be that guy, but this style has been done to death. You can do something simple without using the same tired idea of "squares of different shades tossed around" Play around with the idea more and see if you can find something more original.

I revised my bricks a bit, adding repeat ctm. I might also make use of the fancy new ctm to have some special random tiles in there too. Also, the missing tile on the cracked brick looks a bit nicer, and the moss and leaves on the mossy bricks looks more like, well, moss and leaves.

Also, I made some oak wood. Not entirely happy with it.

And the checkerboard pattern on the stone bricks is intentional.
EDIT: changed wood and got new page!

Hey guys, I'm back, and I made dirt!

I'm a bit rusty, and I need to fix up the tiling some more, but I think it looks pretty decent.

The new quartz is looking delicious! I wonder how well it would work with endstone, though. Glad to see that the new format didn't ruin the pack.

I'm loving the updates, especially the new leaves and quartz. I was partial to the old cobble but the new texture is looking great as well.

    Worstest bricks ever:

I was going for sort of sooty, chimney bricks, but it just looks ugly.

I'm ashamed to say I made it.
    It was late.
    I was tired.
    But... those look kinda good.

I messed about with my wood and cobble some more. Do they look better together now?

    The purple is mycellium.
And I personally love the wood, it is my favorite texture of mine....EVER.

Also, to help everyone make a better decision on which side dirt is better, I will show them tiled with dirt.

Eh, I think the bottom one could have been done better, but it's cool to see you're trying to make it tile with dirt. I just think it varies too much. Maybe use some ctm magic to make it thicker but still have it tile with neighboring dirt blocks.

Though my pack is still VERY early on, what I have looks great in game :D

    Opinions?
What's the purple I see in there? Also can't say I'm too fond of the wood, though I've never liked wood with borders like that.

Increase the cobblestone's contrast or decrease that of the wood's. They don't work together. Nice textures though!
Yeah, I noticed that after posting. I'll do a little of both.
    Also, dirt.

Looks utterly fantastic, but it seems more like it would be a better stone to me...
I'm not a fan of chunky stone personally. It seems kind of redundant to make both cobble an stone chunky.
    Also, wood!

Also, I fixed the little blob of dark grey in the top right of the cobble, though not shown in this image.

Thanks everyone for the feedback! I'll see what I can do about the dirt.

    edit--
Got me a page folks. And in the name of this 1337 page all textures will be 1337!
(sorry got carried away and damn thing don't wanna let go)
Shoots, missed it by one post!
Anyway, improved my cobblestone a little. If I do use it, I'm definitely using ctm to clean up some tiling errors.

Should've fixed the problems with contrast and such.

Besides the low contrast, how do you guys like my cobble?

I'm just sorta worried about tiling errors...
I want to see it tiled personally. I have quite a soft spot for the top soil thing it has going on.
Also, I wonder who will have the honor of getting the 1337 page.
