As cam said, these are generic terms and thus cannot be trademarked.

    Cool!

I noticed that when transmuting cauldrons you can actually fill them with more water otherwise possible, for example giving it the data value 15 will put 15 charges of water in it while the normal max limit is 5 or 4.

    That seems very helpful!

    Important fact.

Basically when set up in the same orientation (Facing same direction) it would not work in +X +Z area.

This is probably just what somebody said about the southwest rule or whatever, but I don't understand what that means.

I haven't been able to reproduce this is 12w01a. Can someone please give me an in-depth tutorial on this?

I even used a pre-made schematic to turn white wool into yellow wool, but for some ridiculous reason it just flashed yellow and never actually became that particular color.

Please confirm if this glitch even still works in the latest snapshot?

I actually discovered this in the newest screenshot, so it DEFINITELY works. Also, I made another discovery. Because this changes the damage value it can be used to make blocks of the same type that won't stack! So like 2 seemingly identical log blocks, but one actually has a data value of 11.

I plan to make a huge profit of this on survival servers.

    >some user finds spider spawner and creates a wool factory from it
    >purchase multiple stacks of aforementioned wool
    >shoves all stacks into a simple machine and watches in amazement as it comes out the other side as brown wool
    >sells brown wool and people begin getting suspicious
    >admin teleports along one magical day and sees this 'factory' for brown wool
    >gets banned

...Maybe the profit would only be temporary xP

Yeah, a positive aspect of this is that it is fairly easy to make.

The torch doesn't have to power any blocks or pistons, but somehow it still seems necessary. For example, breaking the left torch in this configuration will also change the damage value. Updating the piston or turning the torch off will not.

So maybe it is a combination of a block update and a power loss that causes the strange stuff?

I'm actually glad that this can't be used to get diamonds/gold/gems. If it did it would probably get patched very quickly.

I get it now, thanks a lot. This is the point where we encourage notch to bring in diamond, iron and gold slabs.

    Hehe,
"Notch can you PLEASE add gem slabs? PAY NO ATTENTION THE DAMAGE CHANGER!"

If it is due to what data value the water is at, that makes 8 possible options, what if you use redstone wire length to make that 16?

I don't really understand how it works, but I definitely have been able to get a brown wool from trying various water combinations.

Water is supposed to flow into where the block ends up. You have to make the water flow into the redstone torch's space to destroy it.

The shallowness of the water flowing into the torch's square determines its new form. So you can control what block you get by selecting how far to place the source block.

How do you make the ones to do cauldrons/fence gates?

Regular, Can you help me...I have one that converts anything into the base state, IE orange to white wool, but I can get it to go from white to anyhting else...Is the water supposed to flow where the block ends up, or where it starts?

I THINK where it ends up, but I honestly don't understand this very well.
