Sorry, it was late so my post kind of didn't make sense.
Basically the bedrock pickaxe is permanently enchanted with silk touch(config option if you want to add more enchants via the anvil or not). The bedrock pick is still limited to the fact it is a pickaxe as in minecraft code blocks such as stone, iron, gold can be broken only with a pickaxe to get a block drop afterwards, while sand, dirt, wood, can be broken with the open hand. The pickaxe is still slow on soft materials(eg, dirt, sand, soul sand) as it was not designed to get those materials. Though with silk touch you can mine grass and mycelium blocks at a reduced speed(vanilla mechanics). Reika's silk touch is a bit more powerful as it allows special handling of certain blocks such as monster spawners.
On to another topic, you still need the bedrock breaker to get bedrock dust, Reika has just changed the way you get bedrock ingots. Instead of simply crafting it together on a crafting grid(which doesn't make much sense), you now infuse bedrock dust into steel ingots(with a blast furnace). Basically making an alloy of it.
hey dude dont try to question his logic reika gets this all the time. he should try to actualy craft and build this stuff first instead of just reading a book about it.
Dude, seriously? ground-up bedrock, not coal dust. takes a massive investment. total endgame stuff. Don't try to nerfherd unless you have played the mod. harvesting nodes with a pickaxe (snort) try it. if it works (it will not) it would barely scratch the investment required to achieve it. Next time you question a mod's 'balance', try playing through it first. those tools are hard enough to get that if they let you fly, turn iron blocks into diamonds, and one-shotted the ender dragon they probably still wouldn't overshadow the effort required to make them,
It's fine guys, the guy has played with RC, he's just wondering about the design decisions. Also you can one shot the ender dragon with a sufficiently charged gravel gun. The tools are powerful but, can only do so much as based on the tool so they aren't overpowered.
As for keybounce, anything that can be enchanted with silk touch(eg, shovel and pickaxe only I think) can harvest blocks that they can mine that will still give a block afterwards(basically with your bare hands) can be silk touched. Well other than a couple blocks with vanilla silk touch(eg, monster spawners). Also another use for ice is to move faster because of it's slipperiness. If you haven't made it impossible, you can put ice in the nether and jump you move around much quicker, just don't have any light sources nearby the ice. you can move even quicker by putting trapdoors on them, like so if they haven't fixed it already.
Okay reika, I absolutely love your lava smeltery. I thought it was going to be pretty slow unless you gave it ridiculous amounts of energy and speed(never looked at the requirements til now). OMG so fast(especially compared to other smelting processes), will use them more. I am also using a air compressor to pull out of it.
I've been running the Magnetizing Unit for a while now (at the required power of 16.384kW, as it says in the book, and the speed of 2048rad/s), but there's no indication that it's actually doing anything to the shaft core even though it looks like it's running. I can't find how long it's supposed to take anywhere, including in the book.
I found a small bug, if you shift click a shaft core with data on it out of a magnetizing unit with a shaft core that doesn't have and data on it in your inventory, it will put the magnetized shaft core onto the stack with no data and give it the data of the first shaft core.
Is there any way you can make the sprinklers produce less particles, maybe like a config option? I have to have particles off if I want to have decent fps next to my farm. I only have 4 and it drops my fps down by 20.
Just wondering if there was a way you could make it so steam engines and stuff that use fire also use thaumcraft nitor? I'm not saying make it have the heat of lava though, if this is already a thing then nevermind.
I also agree with twister, if there were a way to automatically shear leaves it would be nice, then you could have two separate farms, one for getting leaves and one for getting saplings to give to the leaf shearing wood cutter to continue getting more.
Would you be willing to make a book or add on to the Rotarycraft handbook, for reactor craft? I want to play with it but, I have no idea how to use any of the blocks from reactor craft.

Also I can't open a thaumium golem's GUI.

Breaking your machines with a TiC hammer does not give you the machine back. I was just wondering if that might be a bug.

You need an alternating redstone current.

The rest of the gears are like this too, latest version of rotarycraft 12.

I personally would like to see some of your modded set-ups. I like seeing how other people build automation

It was too powerful of a machine, you just need one bucket of lubricant and it will run forever or until you break it.
