Thanks mate, Yeah I will look into getting a terrain.png up with the next update, I just want a few more textures done yet. Thanks for your kind words.
No problem, I just love how it looks so far, like I said it looks like what I had been looking around for for a good while now. I use Dokucraft a lot, but I wanted a slightly more realistic RPG feel, and it seems anything over 32x texture packs like to lag me more then I do with 16x or 32x (no noticeable difference). So I hope this works out very nicely, and I shall download it when the terrain.png is done. :biggrin.gif:
I have nothing to add on, it looks perfect to me so far, maybe post the terrain.png so we can have a "better" look at the blocks you have done so we can see them in a different sort of view instead of just in images. Aside from that, keep up the awesome work, I am really looking forward to this one.
I really like this texture pack, it has the more "realistic" RPG style feel (to me anyways) and I look forward to seeing this done, good luck and keep up the awesome work.
As far as I am aware, the modding is dead, what is done is all that will be. School interfered, then life after High School, it was in all intention to complete all of the features, but life happened.
Nice job from the looks of it in the video, just one issue...
So I have been sitting here watching the video trying to put the Pistons in the proper positions since it has been updated to work with 1.4_1, though sadly all previous pistons are gone, and I can't for the life of me get them back in the right places. So, whichever would be easier, would you please either make a video showing the locations of the pistons or take screenshots and add them to the archive/new archive for those or post them? I would gladly appreciate that. :biggrin.gif:
Edit: After an hour and a half, I got the Dual Cobble Generator working, and the rest were pretty obvious, so now I have it working. :biggrin.gif:
Look, I don't want to be the killjoy here, but someone has to be.
The mod's files are in the developers hands. It will possibly be in Minecraft by the people who make Minecraft. You don't have to downgrade, or torrent, or anything, to get this mod to work.
You just have to have patience. We waited for wolves, smooth lighting, powered minecarts, redstone repeaters, biomes, colored wool, and now weather... what's the difference here? Yes, it worked once, and it will work again. Hippo's said he himself can't determine the problem, so it's now all in Mojang's hands.
What's the hurry, guys? Just relax. Go tame a wolf pack.
I have no issue waiting, I just was hoping if it wasn't anything on my side, I could possibly look into the rendering or whatever it seems to be having issues with, and see what I can do to it myself, I might not get it figured out though.
Besides, I have tamed a wolf pack of 30 wolves already. :tongue.gif:
I looked at the ModLoader log, and I don't know if it wasn't changed, or the 1.4 link I clicked gave me a 1.3 compatible mod, it just says:
Fine: Mod Loaded: "mod_Pistons Beta 1.3" from mod_Pistons.class
Also, I tried again with the 1.4_1 and 1.4 versions of Minecraft, it doesn't even exist now in 1.4, but does in 1.4_1, so I don't know if it is just me or what...
I am having issues, I have tried with 1.4 and 1.4_1, It renders the piston, but after giving it power it seems to act like it no longer exists, I can walk through it, can't break it, but I can stand on top of it. When I exit the world and come back, it freezes for about 30 seconds, then Minecraft completely crashes with no error or anything.
Edit: I understand it doesn't work on 1.4_1, but I thought I would mention that anyways.
THIS LOOKS AWESOME! I recommend that you have all the different mods available for download just by themselves, because some people might only want the cars or something. Of coarse have it in one big file also though. Also, will this be made for multiplier too?
We might do that, it sounds like a good idea to me, and regarding multiplayer, yes it will be made for that as well.
OMG..oodness. That is freaking sick. I never thaught it would be ever possible!
Maybe I could be the tester for certain things? Like the vehicles and weapons. PM me if your intrested. And one thing..will it require modloader?
Typed on my phone so sorry for any spelling mistakes!
Yes it will require modloader, which is now working for Beta 1.3 as well. Testing will be later because I still have a lot more coding for the tank to finish, but I got the models, which is a huge start in my opinion.
So here is some progress on the model for the tank, I have the actual display finished, we just need to finish on the skin, then work out the movement mechanics. Anyways, here is the whole point of this post. :biggrin.gif:
Oh my god... no more browsing the forums looking for a gamechanging mod...
I will cry if this fizzles out.
I can see where everyone else is coming from with the doubt, though. Many big mods are abandoned before they're done.
But if you make this.... Me love you long time.
Maybe add a trap block that when powered damages mobs and players that walk over it?
And sorry if u already answered this, but will it be available for multiplayer?
No worry about this one fizzling out, this is one of my first big projects on anything, and I am more then determined to get this made, even if I have to finish it myself. :tongue.gif:

If you need an Artist, im the man.
Msg me what needs to be done, and some specs and i will try my very best!
Before we say yes, mind showing screenshots of things you have made? I know you posted a link, but I see nothing there with art you made for the game. :/ Then again, I might have overlooked something.
This sounds like a whole lotta nothin. I don't like sounding like a debbie downer, but I doubt this "project" will ever become anything. But I've been proven wrong before, I dare you to prove me wrong once more.
Why do people always doubt the determination in making something awesome and adding it to a popular game? Programming for me is fun, so I know for a fact that this will be finished, no matter how long it may take, but without a doubt, it will be done.

Upon reading the first post i first thought "Wow, with this stuff this could get a quite a good mod". But upon reaching the vehicles tab i realised you're just bunching up a hell lot of ideas without any further thinking about the possibility of implementation.
New ores, new items, stuff... that's all fine, but Entitys like Vehicles are REALLY advanced... and if it comes to tanks.. uhm.. yes...
Actually yes we have thought about implementation, we thought through how it would work in-game, how exactly we plan on having them work and move, all that there is to do is the codes and skins, we have all the plans for those on how to work made.

PS: If you seriously managed to implement all those stuff somewhen, PM me and i will be the first one to excuse for my disbelief.
Just wait, it may be a little while, but you will get a PM. :wink.gif:
Also thanks for all the support guys, that also helps with the determination to get this thing made.

We are going to do our best to ensure it doesn't, as it will use ModLoader, so hopefully all will be well.
