Minecraft is an ever-evolving game. It changes, like most other things, because if you're not moving forward, you're moving backwards. At the same time, some of the updates are just plain stupid (read: wolves). Doesn't mean I have to quit Minecraft because of it. Sometimes I like to boot up MCNostalgia and play Alpha for about 4 hours, but that doesn't I hate the current Minecraft.
Most of the posters here are right in their own way, but they're also wrong in a way too. If you don't like the current Minecraft updates, then you can ignore the things you don't like (read: those goddamned wolves) or find servers that still play older versions of MC. They're hard to find, but they're still there. Those of you who disagree with OP, nobody's making you post and try to correct his opinion, no matter how stupid you think it may be.
tl;dr: If you disagree with someone, you don't have to spin off into a 250 word rant (because that counts as flaming for some reason). You can just say something along the lines of "You know what, you may be right" or just not post anything at all. Meanwhile, if you don't like something, then you really shouldn't post a rant about it on a forum that's full of people who love that thing that you don't like (read: I seriously hate wolves)
I was just wondering if there was a mod that automatically reconnects you after being disconnected for whatever reason other than pressing the disconnect button. It would be preferable if it were for 1.4.7 or 1.5. I own a kind of server where if you get off, the whole server goes off too (it's a private, 5-friend server) and I would like for there to be as close to 100% uptime as possible. So is there a mod that will reconnect automatically after being disconnected?
You know what, I thought of a mod exactly like this back in Beta 1.3. Didn't know any goddamned java back then -_-.

Hey, I go around sometimes and see IP's like server.youareminecraft.com and mc.skywaysmedia.net. I was just wondering how I could change my server IP with a bunch of boring letters to something that's easy to remember like server.echocraft.com or mc.echocraft.net. Also, I host on a netbook, I don't use any hosting services.

Craft 10 golden apples.
Get an enchanted bow from a skeleton.
Craft a full set of iron tools and armor.
Craft a full set of gold tools and armor.

The only one I have is ColorMe, and people could talk after that was installed, it only started yesterday
EDIT: I also have HeroChat, but it was working fine before this happened.
