posted a message on Gimp 2.8 Unable to open Swap File
Since I just redownloaded gimp, I've been getting an error message saying

"Unable to open swap file. GIMP has run out of memory and cannot use the swap file. Some parts of your images may be corrupted. Try to save your work using different filenames, restart GIMP and check the location of the swap directory in your Preferences."

I don't know what to do and other online guides are confusing and not helpful at all.

posted a message on Planetside 2 lagging, but I think I have a good computer
I've been having some issues lately when I've tried playing Planetside 2. It's been really laggy, even when I have all of my graphics options set on low/very low. I thought I had a pretty good laptop because it runs every other game pretty smoothly. Here are my specs:

    System

    • Windows 8 Pro 64bit (6.2, Build 9200)
    • Sony Viao
    • Processor: Intel Core i7-3632QM CPU @ 2.20 GHz (8CPUs), ~2.2GHz
    • Memory: ~12MB RAM
    Display

    • Name: Intel HD Graphics 4000
    • Chip Type: Intel HD Graphics Family
    • DAC Type: Interal
    • Approx Total Memory: 1664MB
    • Current Display Mode: 1920 x 1080 (32 bit) (59Hz)
    • Monitor: Digital Flat Panel

I really want to know if there is anything I can do to improve my computer's performance, and hopefully be able to run Planetside 2, and games of that nature on high quality graphics.

I might be able to see Minecraft Wii U.... maybe. Though, I definitely think that would be weird. It just wouldn't have the right feel to it I. Same goes for the 3DS.

You have corrupt installations of Java. Please remove all mentions of Java from the machine via the control panel. Reboot, then grab the latest here,
    http://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp

Please get the 64-bit version if you have a 64-bit OS.

It worked, thank you very much :D

posted a message on How do you kill a person with full protection IV diamond armor?
You don't necessarily need full diamond armor as well, I suggest having a few buckets of lava and maybe even flint and steel to deplete some of his health at first. If you don't have matching armor, using an enchanted bow for long distance could work and would keep you away from any close combat fighting. Also, using poison potions along with the lava and fire can really help wearing down his health bar without having to subject yourself to any close range pvp (for if you don't have matching high level armor). And if all else fails, go at him with your best sword yelling "LEEEERROOOYYY JEENNNNKKIIINNSSS" and hope for the best xD

posted a message on This application requires a Java Environment 1.6.0
I have been getting error messages while trying to launch Minecraft and it says, "This application requires a Java Environment 1.6.0" and I have no idea how to fix it. I've tried watching a few videos on YouTube and none of their solutions have worked for me. It seems like most topics about this have been closed or haven't been active for a long time.

I think I may have updated Java yesterday but it continued to work afterwards until this morning so please help me :(

[By the way I'm running on a Windows 8 Sony Viao if that matters at all]

I never know what to do in this game. I'll spend 20 minutes walking only to be killed instantly by an aircraft.

    Vanu all day erryday though

    That's what I do c:

    Terran everyday you filthy swine.

I played for Terran for like 3 weeks only to find out how bad their weapons suck. With Vanu, it's much easier to get a kill with a sniper or even the standard gun a light assault gets.

    Quote from Phonics74

I would say it's because you bought Turtle Beaches, but like popsicle said, it was supposed to come with a PC adapter bit. If you didn't get it/lost it, you can probably buy it off Turtle Beach's website or Amazon. After that, just make sure to get someone who isn't colorblind to plug them in correctly (I had this issue).

    Color blind? Yikes...

You put the pink/red plug in the red hole, and the green plug in the green hole. You can also use back panel audio.

I don't see why this is so difficult.

It's difficult because there's only one plug. Not two. :/
