They haven't nerfed anything, only fixing. Whether this was intentional or not, players are not supposed to be above the Nether bedrock layer.
That is true, but i was not only referring to Zombie Pigmen farms. Remember when they tried to "nerf" iron farms? I highly doubt that was "fixing" something.
I think it is incredibly stupid that Mojang actually goes out of their way to nerf farms and automation. Its time they could spend doing something more useful.
A more technical solution would be to use MCEdit to leash the bats to, for example, some creepers that are hidden below ground. (Sounds extremely complicated but really isnt, look up the mcedit leash plugin). This works because technically leashes can be attached to ANY mob, and even from a mob to another mob.
It does work in 1.8, when you put an object in an enchanting table, it "locks" the enchantments for that type of item. If you were to put in an iron sword and would have gotten the enchantment sharpness 3, then when you put in a diamond sword in it will get that enchantment. Gold tools get better enchantments then diamond, therefore you would put in a gold sword so it locks, then put in the diamond sword so it gets the better enchantments that gold would get.

Trust me, your idea will look much better.
Onto your idea:
First off, your idea is redundant. Sharks have been suggested MANY times before, your thread is no different. Use the search bar before posting.
Second, this is vague. This idea is not detailed at all. You don't give any details at all about the sharks. How much damage do they do? How large are the sharks? How rare is the spawn? Etc.
