Oh i still remember the joy of them fixing the lava bucket / chest bug where right clicking a chest with a bucket would cause immense pain and suffering. I died more times to that then ill dare to admit lol.
What about your 'friends' in Australia or Asia? The cost to fly to vegas from around to US is what? a few hundred bucks? From Australia it is over a thousand. Oh well. Next year perhaps.
For reasons im not yet sure of the server is having some troubles. The problem is beyond my technical ability to fix so we will have to wait for bargraphics or squall to wake up to fix it. That could be several hours if the server doesnt resolve itself. My apologies guys =[.

Ive tried using both launchers but neither work. Its not a problem with mcnet as far as im aware as the website and the browser based client work fine. Ive tried everything i can think of but none have worked yet :S.
Ever since the release of patch 1.3 i have been unable to log into minecraft using the downloaded launcher. I have tried using both new and old launchers but come across the same problem. It straight away comes up with "Login failed" without even attempting to connect.
I have tried , multiple times, deleting minecraft and redownloading. Strangely i am still able to connect to and play through the web browser (although this too breaks when i try and use mods or hd texture packs) so i am able to re download minecraft in this way. I have also tried playing without my firewall and taking off / re-adding to firewall exceptions.
I am (still) using Windows XP , so its not the problem that mac users experienced. I'd be grateful for any help guys.

I cant log into mc net using the new OR old launcher now. It allows me to play offline but its multiplayer id rather be on. I can log into the browser based client but i cant log into MP servers on that.
Ive been keeping an eye on the minestatus for the server for the last few hours and it hasnt come back up yet according to that =[. Anyways good to see more fellow aussies joining the server. It means more people on at night for me.

Reason you should you be accepted: I love minecraft and multiplayer games (especially mmos and rpgs) and i have been looking for a good real world kind of server and Hc sparked my interest. I always try to stick to building things that look both good and realistic (I.e no random bright colours or unrealistic use of rare materials) and i like idea of building towns and villages in minecraft. Something ive attempted previously on both single and multiplayer.
Additional info: *I use Aza's Arid Pack for my textures but can change to Painterly if it causes any problems with how things look in the server.
* I tend to have certain building styles i use. Some of these include hobbit style barrows , the use of log and stone combos for walls and man made terraces of made of cobble and dirt (which look very good together with Aza's pack).
* If accepted to the server i would like to make a farming area for a town or village. Its my hope that in the long run i could expand to having a "farming monopoly" so to speak where i have many wheat / sugarcane farms throughout the world feeding the people.
