    Alright, version 1.2 of my stable has been uploaded to the Millénaire library!

    Also, while searching for a desert for screenshots I did come across what -might- be the problem with ticlon's Byzantine culture:


    Check out those double-beds! I think you've placed two bed blocks down, but you only need one; Minecraft itself generates the other one automagically. I vaguely recall this being a problem with several of your buildings as well, but between working quite a lot and spending most of my free time from the past week or so on my Stable I haven't stopped to check out a Byzantine village in quite some time now!
    In any case, I'd guess that maybe one of the bed-parts is overwriting the spawn position for the villager(s) of that particular lone building..?

    Okay, my project of the past week or two is complete; version 1.1 of my stable for the Norman culture has been uploaded to the Millénaire Library! It should become available as soon as Kinniken has approved it!

    I have other things to do right now, but my plans for this coming week were already outlined in one of my previous posts in this topic: I plan on attempting to create custom tool-crafting jobs for the "SimpleOres" mod and its "NetherRocks" companion. A lone building containing a blacksmith who can craft these tools for you may be on the books as well, but I am making no guarantees!

    You can do that, but then the Wand of Negation won't work on the village straight away.
    You also don't need to kill ALL of the villagers; for Norman and Japanese villages at least you only need to kill all of the males. I found that out the hard way when I ran across a few villages on sharp cliffs that caused the game to lag hardcore when the pathing algorithms tried to find ways to the other side of said cliffs, but that's another story for another time.

    In any case, you can use a Wand of Negation from any location to destroy any village/lone building so long as you kill all of the males living there first. Doing so will not delete the buildings, but it will obliterate all of the villagers living there and prevent them from respawning. It will also make the signs on buildings and Town Halls "freeze" in their current state. It's... kind of creepy seeing villages that have been destroyed in this way!

    Kinniken: Will do! I could only find armor/tools for the SimplyOres mod and its companion by the same author containing Nether Ores, but even that little bit couldn't hurt, right? :)

    Dana: Thank you for that report! All of the mods in that pack -should- be compatible but you might have to run some tests with Millénaire with each individual mod until you can find which one is incompatible. When Mr. rditto48801 provides his report perhaps we can find what mods you both have installed so that we can narrow down the list a little?
    If you do plan on trying to go through with it before we can attempt to narrow it down I would suggest starting a new world for each test so that you can keep all of the features on your main save(s).

    MatrexsVigil: I believe so! I haven't done more than skim the files before working on an old project again but at the very least if your mod requires any sort of crafting or transforming one item into another then you can definitely add those as custom jobs! Harvesting crops -may- be possible as well but I don't want to confirm/deny until I've done more than taken a cursory glance at the example files!

    felinoel: It means you're running 2.7.3 when the latest release is 2.7.6, duh! =P
    Nah, from the looks of it your farm_A0 has a mismatch between the image and the text-file; the text-file says that each floor (layer) should be 7 pixels long, but the image is roughly 16 or so pixels wide, leading to the value "2.25," which - as it states is not an integer (basically a whole number) and as the game does not know what to do with the partial floor it simply crashes.

    If this is one of the ingame buildings and not one from the culture you're working on then please make sure to delete the "millenaire" folder and copy over a fresh one with every update instead of mixing the new files in with the old ones!

    Thank you for this update, it is MAJOR! I only run a small handful of mods anymore, but I'm going to have to go through them and see if there are any custom crafting goals I can set up to help mods feel more like they are pieces of a greater whole instead of isolated things!

    I suppose I'll find out myself shortly when I download the update, but are there separate files for each block in millenaire-custom/blocks or is there a single text file that each block must be added to?

    Congratulations on finding that setting, fragosos!
    I was reading through the topic and was going to suggest trying that option, but it would appear that you've already found it!

    minibomberman: I had the same issue with the Sadhu dissappearing for the Hindi creation quest! According to others' reports, leaving the area, restarting Minecraft, then coming back to the area -should- solve the problem? I haven't gotten around to the "return to the area" part myself as I found everyone's favorite easter egg while aimlessly wandering away.

    Robbinsmitje: You can't, actually! Just wait for the villagers to build a house for the Statue Carver and then for a child to grow up and take up that profession. Just like the thatch for Japanese villages and Timber and Cross Frames for Norman (...and Japanese) villages, you cannot make the blocks on your own.

    Elly_Banearrow: Minecraft should crash on launch if you have neither Forge nor the Sprite Extender-thing that Kinniken provides in the compressed archive with every Millénaire release. Only one or the other is required, are you sure that you have neither of them and are able to run Millénaire?

    rditto48801: That first bit is a normal problem, yeah! The default NPC villages don't always have perfect spawns, but you've just got to roll with it as it would be difficult to impossible to code them so that they are perfect every time.
    I've also been using this mod for a little over a year now and I tend to play for an hour or two at a time yet I have never encountered the error described both in your post and the post you quoted.
    For those who have encountered it: What all mods do you have installed when you encounter the error?

    Ziuziu, your enthusiasm for this mod is a good thing but please refrain from posting about the dragoncave items in your signature; I check this topic from time to time to see what Avii's latest progress and it is rather difficult to find useful information when it is surrounded by things that are not relevant to the mod itself.

    Regarding the mod itself: I don't recall whether I've stated it yet or not, but it looks pretty awesome! I have yet to install it, but I do believe that these horses will make a rather nice mode of transportation when I do!

    Are you sure that they're really gone? It's entirely possible that you simply haven't found any yet!
    Press the "M" key to bring up your quests list, and on the first (and sometime second, if you have third-party cultures installed) page it should display your Reputation and Language level for all installed cultures. Does "Japanese" show up in this list?

    Aw man, and in my Japanese village I already have both player houses built! Well, one of them I lost when I tried rotating it in MCEdit, but still!
    Is there any way I can clear the land from a player house and them mark the area as usable again so that I can have the villagers build me a new house, or do I have to find a new Japanese village and trade with them for awhile before I get to check out the new one?

    It was March and not May, yeah.
    Either way that means 14 months of this great mod! :D
    Prior to this mod I had been using [OgreSean's?] Builder's Mod to keep my Minecraft worlds from being lonely, and although they DID build their own small towns on occasion that you can trade with, Kinniken's work just blew that out of the water! Nowadays I just can't imagine playing Minecraft without Millénaire installed!

    The difference is simple: For hard mode MCDungeon attempts to fill in any caves below[/above?] the dungeon within the same chunks. This will force all mobs spawning within said chunks to spawn ONLY in the dungeon, and not in random underground caves where they cannot reach you.
    As Minecraft mobs have a maximum number that they can spawn per chunk (or something to that effect), this will increase the number of mobs spawned naturally within the dungeon(s).

    Does that make sense?

    Ah... this is a bit of an odd request, but does anyone have an MCEdit schematic for the "Ke" player house for a Japanese village?
    Mine was facing backwards and I went to rotate it in MCEdit, but due to that program's bad UI I kind of saved and exitted without actually PLACING the rotated house, and as a result I have nothing but an empty dirt patch where mine once was.
