I'm still confused. I looked up minecraft port forwarding and don't really understand. Could someone give me a good link or just good information on port forwarding for minecraft? Also does port forwarding help increase my ram and tell me how to install the "java - Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -jar minecraft_server.jar" thing? Thanks

I recently bought minecraft and I want to create a multiplayer server. I have succeded in doing this but I can only play with one friend who is at my house using the same internet connection. It also says I dont have enough ram. and it says to get more ram i need to launch the game as:
"java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -jar minecraft_server.jar"
I am not very good with these things and dont know how to launch it as this.
I am using a Windows 7 computer. Could someone please tell me how to laucnh it as this in a simple and easily understandable way. Thanks.
