Anyone else have issues with the CTM and SMP Revival pack?

Fixed it myself, version wasn't corresponding, but I still have a CTM issue.
I absolutely LOVE the combined slabs having different textures, but it seems that in some places it just doesn't work. I've transferred all my work to a new map, but the issues persist, just in other places. So instead of getting a new texture, it'll just doubleslab and look like normal blocks (such as cobble slabs looking like cobblestone, instead of the new mosaic).

Does anyone know what causes it and if there's a fix?

Thank you for the update, especially the "new" colors for the hardened clay.

Hi Woodsnake, thank you for your interest.
I've gone over your site and I don't think I'd be right for your server, or the other way around :)

    @Anamian
I've written you a PM back.

**Resolved, I've found a server, thanks for the interest**

Howdy, Smilomaniac from Denmark(GMT +1) and I'm looking for a server to join, after playing alone/with friends since before the squids came.

I prefer playing on creative, doing intricate and often large builds, but "legit" projects are also fine.
I'm fairly proficient with redstone and I know how to build logic gates or at least look them up.
I'm basicly looking for something to do that isn't my own massive projects at the moment and meet some fellow builders that would hopefully be my new Minecraft family.
I'm proficient with mcedit, meaning I can send schematics or receive them and help edit in it.

I have TS3 and ventrilo - Skype is no-go as it's too unreliable for me.
    Server must be primarily english-speaking.
I expect a certain level of skill on your server as you should expect it of me.

I do *not* have that much server technical experience and the various addons, so I would expect a quick introduction on getting permissions etc. I haven't been a part of any other server, except for the enchanted server where no one bothered to introduce me and the only advice I got was "look it up on google", which is an attitude I find is a waste of my time.

If the post comes off as arrogant, please understand that, that is not the intention.
I will bring something to your server and I love to help people do their projects as well as add something unique and interesting to the landscape.

Edit; Here's a brief summary of who I am:
    I'm Danish and I'm 28 years old.
I have a full time job in a ferry company office, where I'm responsible for hiring crew and making sure the security on our ferries are up to date and compliant with laws, etc. Basicly I double check security installations and routines.
I drive my motorcycle every day, to work and anywhere else I need to go.
I speak fluent English, Danish and some Croatian/Serbian.

    Examples of my work:

A large hill/small mountain that I built in MCedit and hollowed to to create a series of cottages that have the interior inside the terrain. The whole thing is artificial, meaning every tree, vine, stone and grass is something I placed meticulously:

Part of the main street of my city project, using minimalist design:

A gothic cathedral that me and a friend has worked on:

    Market Square and windmill:

City gate with some of the city in the background:

Main square with housing and a factory in the background:

I have older builds in this thread as well as the beginning screenshots of my city project:
    My old stuff.

Feel free to contact me via PM or here. I look forwards to hearing from you.

    Fine by me.

Thanks a bunch. I'll let you know when it's out if you want. If nothing else, then to see how your work changes a map immensely.

Hi SMP, welcome back and thanks for your continued work.

What's your policy on the old pack(305500), because the map my team is working on is heavily dependant on it staying the way it is. Do you have anything against us modding the old pack so it's either using some elements from your new pack, or replacements that we make ourselves?

I'm asking because we plan to release it at some point, but it's not an adventuremap as such, it'll be more of a sightseeing map(there is currently a lot to see) and we want to include the modded texturepack in the download.

You would of course be credited along with a link to your original work, and it would be noted that it's modded.

What really impresses me are most of the roofs, I love how you've managed to make them look good without having to use all stairs.

Expected some half-assed 3x3 obsidian tower, I'm glad to see that I was wrong.
Looks awesome, no other way to put it :)

Use netherbrick stairs to smooth some of the edges, since you can set them upside down now, it gives a hell of a lot more options.
An example on where to use them would be the transition blocks on the tips.

I've been doing massive builds for a few days, so I'm probably seeing the edges more clearly than most, right now..

Here's a little thumb of rule: You don't have to make everything symmetrical :) There's grace and beauty in imperfection.
Also, there doesn't need to be supports just because someone else said so, it all depends on the theme you're doing. Anything fantasy related should look a bit odd or magical.

I think in general your fountain is fine, I know that I've had issues on trying to do the same and especially fountains are difficult.
If you want to change it, I would recommend changing the base of the fountain, so instead of a square, you could make a square with a circle on each corner or each side instead.

Since it's as huge as it is, you have lots of room for testing out different designs. You could try setting pillars in a circle inside, with different heights, from lowest to highest or random heights.

In essence, you should try and make the watersources stand a bit apart from one another, so they don't necessarily overlap and become a big blob of water.. make it breathe a little. But that's my opinon :)

Wow, a lot has happened since I last downloaded this texturepack...

The updated individual textures look very nice, kudos on that. However, they have a major impact, as you can see below:

    Old:

    New:

    Old:

    New:

This might be personal preference, but I have little love for the new textures and think that the old ones look better by far, at least they match better with one another :)
I'm not going to rage and whine about the pack, I fully understand that it's your work and you do with it as you please. I merely want to provide some feedback on the implications of changing it so radically.

I will continue using the old pack (305500) instead and probably remake the new blocks so they fit with the old pack.

In any case, good luck with the pack and thank you for your work.

I get the impression it would look a lot better if one was there, looking around. Maybe you should make a quick vid.
I like the texturepack, and generally the build looks good.

Are you using fishtaco's NPC Village Biome mod? Because I found the village and mountains, but none of it was like in the pics.

I get the feeling that NPC villages spawn after the map does. I'm fairly certain I've come across points where there was nothing, then returned and I'd suddenly find a village there.

How to make any of it better?

That's a matter of taste and preferences. As your stuff is now, it's good, far better than what most peeps do.
You want to make it more outstanding, make it bigger, put in even more details. It won't necessarily make it better, but definately more impressive.
I love the oriental buildings, they're downright beautiful.
The small castle(or tower with a wall around it) is very standard. On medieval structures, it pays off to mix all the different stone blocks, stone brick, cobblestone, brick, stone, stair blocks of all the previous types and sometimes sandstone. And wood to accentuate it, like you did with your massive tower, which reminds me of Sauron's Eye, dunno if that was intentional.

There's only one advice I could give and that is to add context to your works. For example, adding terrain and surroundings around your palace, with trees, a path, hedges(leaf blocks on top of eachother) etc. It'll make your buildings stand out more.

I hope to see more stuff, would definately want to see a project if you started on one.
