posted a message on Is there a way to glitch stuff into a world if you know the seed?

So a while back I remember hearing that if you knew a seed to the singleplayer/multipleplayer world you could get glitch items in or something. I have no idea if this is true and it probably isnt. Anyway could someone let me know if this is true or not and possibly tell me how to do it.

If anyone could tell me what happened and if I can recover these. This happens for all of them except for latest.

"Heavy attacks are charged by holding left click. This adds a percentage increase in damage on top of light attack damage."

"All light attacks are the same speed (identical to that of 1.8, with a max CPS of 10)"

so you decide to either: do 10 light attacks, in a second. or charge for a linear increase if you can successfully hold the heavy attack, which has the disadvantage that you're telegraphing your attack.

uhm ... noone would use heavy attacks. only to one-shot mobs, but for singleplayer the system does not matter at all.

    No support

There’s a natural attack cooldown in Minecraft before 1.9. You were limited you 2 hits per second so I’m assuming it would be the same here. Common misconceptions :/

Didn’t have a chance to read this entire thing but I think it should be how it is now but servers can edit rather you can use block hitting, attack cooldowns, and other features. This is coming from someone who prefers 1.8 and usually plays multiplayer though so maybe I’m biased.

posted a message on Launcher won’t open

So earlier today I loaded up my computer from the night before (I kept it in sleep but not shut off) and Minecraft was still open. Its usually laggy if I dont restart it from over night so I X out of the page and run the launcher. Alright so it RUNS but it wont actually open the launched program when I click it in the bar at the bottom of my screen. When I hover over the launcher tab it displays just a blank scene. I have tried restarting my computer, reinstalling minecraft, and installing it without the setup. I dont really have any idea what to do at this point. The problem still happens after all of that. I use windows 10, with Java 32-bit if that helps. Sooo yeah that please help if you can.

Not only optional, but completely unobtrusively optional for those that don't want it.

(NOT, for instance, like certain email providers that force users to decline repeated nag screens every time they try to use an account. )

[Two-factor has it place (banking and brokerage accounts, nost obviously), but a strong password and reasonable precautions are quite sufficient for a $27 game.]

The problem is that most of the community are kids and most don’t understand this.

posted a message on Add 2 Step Authentication

Title basically. On multiplayer hacking is sorta a huge problem. Adding two step authentication would add another step of security. However I suggest to make it optional because not everyone may want this because its more to keep track of. This could be maybe a app (Unlikely), having to verify through email when you log in on a new device or just some other security questions. This wouldnt just help multiplayer but really everyone. The reason you can buy a alt for 5 cents is because there are so many. They are all hacked accounts. Adding this would help everyone with a account not have to worry about being hacked. They usually have a database of emails and passwords that work on other platforms then try them for minecraft. So yah thats the suggestion.

I currently am in a state where I don't know whether I like 'advanced combat' or 'classic combat' I've been playing a lot of bedrock edition on Mineplex and its really fun to just sneak up behind someone with an enchanted iron axe and attack 5 times in one second...

Tbh bedrock combat is really messed up...

But what would this do that will 'drastically improve the multiplayer experience'? You haven't given any details whatsoever.

Well the main reason is that you won’t have to deal with people lagging. When you have someone on the other side of the world it can cause a lot of issues with the ping and give one player is a significant advantage or disadvantage. For more seasoned players even on 1.9 combat this can be a problem since it makes melee and even bow combat very annoying and frustrating at times.

But Minecraft not supposed to be realistic at all. If they wanted it to be they would remove a lot of the mobs, the nether, the end, add gravity for all blocks, make it so you can’t hold stacks of items and much much more. To say it needs to be realistic is kinda dumb since nothing really is.

Title. From what I have heard it’s really simple to add.It would drastically improve the multiplayer experience. I can’t really think of a reason why not so... why not?
