Well, I was just watching some Yogscast videos and eating a burger, when suddenly I had a random thought of squid and ASCII transmission using chest minecarts. I forgot the squid part because it's useless and remembered how in old adventure maps, they would lay out messages in chests using blocks. I began thinking, and there is enough room, at least 5x5. So, for an 8 character message, just have 8 chest carts sent down and recieved in the same order. The only modifications needed would be the arrangement, and it would function just lie a bank. Use it if you want :biggrin.gif:. Also, please reply.
If you have read any of my other posts, you'll know that I am always thinking outside of the box. To pushing the limits of even whats considered experimental redstone, taking experimental to revolutionary, and here is another idea. What about a console, specialized for gaming. You could have an input/output station specced for gaming, with loading games in through a cartridge, and a special machine code made for running games. It would also have to resemble redgame in a way that it would have a mega-GPU, lots of memory, and a great machine code. With my ideas for an object oriented programming cell (Yes, slow, clunky, but I shall improve may the time come)I could create characters, hook tic-tac-toe-ish AI up to it, and have a combat game. I know, that is a little bit far, but still, when Hans Lemurson put out his 2D sidescroller (Minecraft in Minecraft as he calls it) noone saw it coming. Same with the first CPU, before that, master engineers built half adders, RS-NOR, double doors and cannons. Please, post any thoughts in the comments.
