Omg, now the ASCII art got cluster-****ed by terminal *facepalm*. Please, just type in "clear" when you start up your computer.

Ok guys, I saw all of the login errors, and took a pretty big leap here. I took it out for now. Next patch to RedWorkOS is coming either today or tomorrow based on how many hours I can get in. http://www.mediafire.com/?15bgv5qvpb2d8vl . This patch has a few mods to the shell, that's it. And of course, no login. I'll get to you with the next patch, and as a hint, it has a built in reference for everything about MC. :biggrin.gif:.

So do I install this instead of computercraft or with it? Sorry for being somewhat noobish.

It's ok. You install ComputerCraft and then install this over it (This only modifies some files, not all). Thank you for using RedWorksOS.

My New OS, lots of code:

RedWorks Alpha v0.01 is aimed to be more user-friendly than CraftOS (the default). It also has built in CIM software (CIM is allowing you to connect to a chatroom hosted by Casper75 and communicate with other SSP clients). PM Sledger721 for custom login.

posted a message on ASCII Transmission Made Easy
Well, I was just watching some Yogscast videos and eating a burger, when suddenly I had a random thought of squid and ASCII transmission using chest minecarts. I forgot the squid part because it's useless and remembered how in old adventure maps, they would lay out messages in chests using blocks. I began thinking, and there is enough room, at least 5x5. So, for an 8 character message, just have 8 chest carts sent down and recieved in the same order. The only modifications needed would be the arrangement, and it would function just lie a bank. Use it if you want :biggrin.gif:. Also, please reply.

posted a message on Can someone please help me install these?
    Hey guys.
I can't manage to install any of the 3 mods: Redpower, Indstrialcraft or Buildcraft. I don't know why, I do exactly what the readme files say. I have ~14 other mods installed right now, and even with a clean slate (except the required loaders etc.) I can't manage to install them. If someone can install them all and mediafire a zip of their .minecraft folder, please do and post it in the comments or message it to me via the forums. Thanks :biggrin.gif:. :iapprove:

posted a message on Some Questions about Minecon
I couldn't attend the latest Minecon because of the fact that I live in Maine, the most eastern state in the US. I heard somewhere that it might be in Europe next year, but where will they be in the US and will they hit the east coast? Boston or even certain parts of Florida are fine with me.

posted a message on Modernizing Servers
Imagine a server (lets take creative for this example) where everyone has decided to import a redstone computer to their plot and network it up to a router, which leads to a host, and then they can use that to aid them. In all sorts of memory usage, mathematics, network based communication, and even for 3d printing. Though, before we can manage to do that, then we have to do be able to categorize the levels of technology. In real life, we have the ideas of the 8-bit era, 16-bit, 32-bit and so forth, but what would that be in minecraft?

In the replies, I wish for these things:
    1. Any ideas for categorizing technology?
    2. What technologies would be needed and what would they do?
    3. Etc. comments and thoughts.

    My Ideas:

Categorizing would run off of a system similar to: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/777835-idea-mc-irpe-standards-proposal/
and would be modified to be simpler, and specified to run for almost every single piece of technology.

For the technologies needed, I would think:
    1. Computer.
    2. Router/Modem.
    3. Memory Bank.
    4. Programming Device.
    5. Expansions for the Computer.
    6. Full on Plumbing/Sewer.
    7. OS to handle all of these things and make them much more user friendly.
    8. A device to control a minecart system.
    9. A minecart garage and convoy system.
    10. An elaborate minecart track.
    11. Giant buss that is the internet.

Perhaps some servers wouldn't want these, as they're too much lag. Yeah, well then get a better server. Really. Or perhaps they simply want to keep it down to just a C and/or D server. That's alright.

Sorry - i cant - It is illegal to redistribute the minecraft.jar and the law is the law

Hey dude, It is illegal to sell it, not to to copy/paste. Besides, I need the entire .minecraft folder, not just the jar. Thanks anyways.
