I have to say, this is a really cool mod. It adds a lot of needed variety to the normal combat and exploration. Though I'm having this odd bug. For some reason when I use agility, It prevents me from walking up stairs or half-blocks until I reload the map.

posted a message on Zombies breaking doors doesn't make the game any more difficult
Ahem..... You know why doors were added? Well, all the way back in VERY early alpha stages, people had to block up their entrances with dirt. To make it so players wouldn't have to block up their house entrance with dirt to keep monsters out, Notch added doors. Now when I'm playing hardmode/hardcore, I'll basically just need to start dirting up my doors during the night... again. How in ANY way did this add any difficulty? I mean, all you do is place one block in front of the door, or heck, just make an entrance that requires a few jumps. *Sigh*

Honestly if this happened, I wouldn't mind. Mob spawners were meant to provide some challenge, not an endless stream of items.

It's a bit annoying to have no door sound when opening a door with hands right click :/. Also, you can't see players blocking in multiplayer.

posted a message on Most efficient food?
    Well, lets see:

Bread:Made with 3 wheat and heals 2.5 hearts. No cooking required

Raw Porkchop: Heals 1,5 hearts, so it's not worth it to eat raw. Obtained from pigs (Shouldn't you become sick after eating raw pork???)

Cooked Porkchop: Heals 4 hearts, but requires cooking. Obtained from pigs.

Red Apple: Heals 2 hearts, used to be obtainable in chests, but it's not possible anymore, so it's impossible to obtain (what is taking so long for them to add apple trees???)

Golden Apple: Heals all 10 hearts, but only findable in dungeon chests with a 1/125 chance.

Raw Fish: Heals 1 heart, gotten from fishing (even less worth eating when un-cooked then raw pork!)

Cooked Fish: Heals 2.5 hearts. Fish must be gotten, then cooked.

Cake: Made with 1 egg, 2 sugar, 3 buckets of milk (3 whole buckets???), and 3 wheat. Must be placed down to use, and it heals for 9 hearts. More so a temporary health station then a quick use healing item due to the amount of items needed, and the inability to re-claim it. Also good for group healing.

Cookies: Heals 0.5 hearts per, but stackable to 8. Requires cocoa beans and 2 wheat. Much better for specific healing then in-combat healing.

    Overall:
    10. Red Apple, 9. Cookies, 8. Raw Fish, 7. Raw Porkchop, 6. Golden Apple, 5. Cooked Fish, 4. Mushroom Stew, 3. Cake 2. Cooked Porkchop, 1. Bread

Cookies and red apples were in back due to rarity (or with the red apple, impossibility to obtain). Raw foods were later in then them because they aren't rare, but they don't heal much. Golden apple in 6th because while it heals a lot, it's incredibly rare. Cooked fish right after because it is more common, and heals as much as bread. Mushroom stew in 4th because of healing amount. Cake in third because of healing amount and group medical aid, but not lower in the list because of items needed to make it, and inability to re-claim whats left makes it less useful. Cooked porkchop in 2 because of easy accessibility combined with healing. Bread first because if you don't get damaged alot, you can just carry around a stack of wheat and make bread when damaged, with a few porkchops just incase. If you do get hit alot, porkchops would be in first.

    That's what I think.

Probably every map in minecraft has those, it just takes looking around. Remember the maps generate as you walk along, so with a little exploring you'll find them eventually.

posted a message on Water Strength Increased?
It seems many people here think that swimming UP and DOWN was affected, you are WRONG. I Tried swimming up a waterfall, no problem, only walking in water causes problems. Notch should of changed downward current to prevent waterfall climbing, not sideways current. I find it stupid that I step into a small puddle going one way and get launched that way as if I jumped into moving rapids.

And for those whom think this is realistic: Get off the computer, find some moving water that is deep enough to take up half or less then half then your height (Maybe a shallow-ish river), and try walking against the current. Unless you are weak, you should then realize it's possible, and then notice how this change is unrealistic.
(also realize steve can walk around with a castle in his pockets, I'm sure walking up a stream like in game shouldn't be a problem (If you don't know, steve = minecraft guy's actual name as confirmed by the recent april fools joke))

Sorry, I know I'm being rude in this post, but I'm tired of people on this forum saying other people are whining about something without doing their research DX.

posted a message on [1.8.1][WIP] More Ores MOVED TO NEW THREAD!!!
I was looking through all of the ores, and I thought: Why not lodestone?

Lodestone is a naturally magnetic rock, that I think would be interesting for use with a magnetic compass, and a metal detector (iron only). But, it would mostly spawn above ground (as it isn't found underground much), and it would be rare (as in real life).

Magnetic compass: would point to the magnetic north (the way the clouds are going), unless a lodestone block is nearby, then it points to that.
    [] :Iron: []
    :Iron: :Coal: :Iron:
    [] :Iron: []

Metal Detector: Detects iron through walls, up to 5 blocks away.

    [] :Coal: []
    :Iron: :Red: :Iron:
    [] :Iron: []

(The coal is where lodestone would be, and the red cloth is where redstone would be)

posted a message on Things You Do That Nobody Else Does
Unlike other people, I don't find this game difficult. I haven't died since the halloween update when armor broke, and I always play on hard mode (except when testing seeds).

I mess around with creepers all the time, and I have only died once because of them. But that one death, was on first day I played minecraft, before I became really good.

I try not to use gold, diamond, and lapis lazuli, Instead, I use them for decoration, or for a vault.

I never attack pigmen (makes the nether too easy).

I'm not afraid of creepers, being that they DO make noise (walking noises).

I once killed a creeper with only my fists, while standing still, just because it is so easy.

posted a message on The Let's Play Seed
I made a topic about this before, but no one noticed it. When you make a world with Let's Play in it, it seems to make a world with giant forest biomes. I put the seed Skyblade799's Let's Play in there, and I got a giant forest with a giant stone pillar where my home is, a cave with 2 dungeons, and 2 above ground water caves.

With the normal Let's Play seed, it makes a massive forest biome, that even when you finally get out of the forest biome, another one isn't far away.

Put something before Let's Play in the seed line, and see what you get!

posted a message on Let's Play Seed
I was going to do a let's play, but the mic I have doesn't record me properly, and it makes me sound retarded. But before I tested the mic, I tried a few seeds, the first Being Let's Play. It seems that when I make a seed with Let's Play in it, it makes a map pretty much composed of a forest. I am currently playing with the seed: Skyblade799's Let's Play, and I am in a massive forest biome, with a cave near spawn (which I am constantly hearing zombies from), a giant stone tower (which has become my house), and many other cool little things.

I'm not sure if when Let's Play is in the seed, it causes it to make a giant forest, but so far it works.
I was hoping someone could test this out.

posted a message on Seasons, Weather, & Natural Disasters! - The Weather Update
Something people don't seem to see here: You have just built a giant fortress, it took a lot of time to build, and then suddenly a meteor comes and smashes a large chunk out of it, which you have to reuild with separate rescources, because everything got anihilated. Thats fine.... but even though it's rare, it can happen again, and again, and again, even if it's rare, it can still happen again. I think this idea is cool but it needs quite a lot of tweaking. I think that the natural disasters, such as the meteor, drought, and earthquake areas are generated with the map, so it can only happen once, and only in certain areas, or a few times in that area. I mean imagine with 5% chance for drought, which turns all vegetation to SAND.... that would demolish whole forest biomes with a requirement to replant everything again, and with 5% it won't be that long until it comes again! Or a meteor, since it isn't once in that area only, it can come again and make even mroe of a hole. EVEN earthquakes here, as if they happen again and again, the landscape would b screwed up with no way of fixing it, only for another one to come evantually! So while I think that these ideas are cool, I believe that many of teh natural disasters should happen ONLY once, and only in certai nareas, because really, I don't want meteors slowly blowing EVERYTHING up, even if it IS extremely rare.
