I first heard of the game, well it was more like I saw it from a friends computer screen. He told me that it was a game about building and survival. I was already drooling at how he was placing torches and fighting pigs. He told me the name of the game was Minecraft, he pointed me to the website and I joined instantly. Only joining however because I was interested in what it was and if I had reached the right website. I played the classic a bit to see what it was like. It was cool, and interesting. But nothing near as awesome and exciting as smashing pigs as I had seen. So I entered the BUY screen. A Welcoming PayPal came to my face, at first my mother asked if it was a scam. I told her it was not and she gave a little talk about "I don't trust PayPal" etc etc...Posted in: News
I downloaded the game, it only took seconds. Installed a skin because I always explore every feature first. So I knew I could add a skin when I looked at my profile on the website. I took to the game like wildfire. I found my first tools of Pickaxe, Sword, Spade. Never knew about the Hoe until I googled it >.>
I soon started smashing trees with my hand, then the Sword, Pickaxe, finally the Spade which I just knew would not work. Using the knowledge I had with building a sword and pickaxe and how they sorta looked like the real tools. I placed my sticks and added the wood. Not in planks at first. I was ready! Set! and Excited! I had my wood, and with my dreams fulfilled I created a Tree House as my first home. I had plans, big plans with defense using lava, arrows, and holes lots of holes.
Oh how little did I know about the physics of Minecraft. Out of all my exploration and understanding of how to build a chest, door, ladder, torch. I never thought of the consequence that wood + lava would make when touched. With the idea of a defense with lava running down the mountain I saw the hoard of Creepers and Zombies. Excited I got them to follow me, running to my house I placed the lava in the wood slot and hoped for the best.
I cried as my house in the tree burned to the ground. Then died from the zombie and surprisingly not the creeper. All that was left was the furnace and chest. I learned that day that Minecraft was a cruel world and would seek my revenge. From that day, I have always hated lava. Always.
Thats my story and I'm excited to go to 2013 Minecon and maybe see some of you! - To post a comment, please login.

Manager of staff and specific servers is a very high ranking position that we are not ready to provide to any player or staff member as of yet. This position would be very demanding and would in fact have an age limit. If you accept the position of a Mod however and keep your in game Reputation positive. Two months after Server Launch we will be performing the final changes of staff positions. Some staff members will be promoted and others will be assigned specific servers to Moderate or Administrate. Until the second month of launch all positions are not final. I offer the position of Moderator at this time.

Please provide proof of builds and experience. Sadly this is not a position we are hiring for but if you have some proof of your work please provide it. Please be aware that "Builder" is a HIGHLY demanding position and the chances of being added to this rank are very slim.

Hello everyone!
Myriad Network a collection of new servers, are hiring staff members before launch. We will be launching with two main game types. Factions/MCMMO and an Adventure/Heros server. We plan on expanding out reach to many other types of servers soon but for now we are looking for staff members to join us at Launch. We are getting close to having everything ready and soon we will be needing a few test players to try everything out for the first time.
We are looking for two ranks. Admin and Mod. PLEASE note that both ranks are very important to the server. Administrators will be tasked with Cheat Watch making sure all members of the server are following the rules of the game and being honest. If an Administrator finds and declares a player to be cheating then he or she will Ban the user for a specific length of time depending on the offence. Administrators will also be tasked to perform requests from the Owners which could mean anything at all.
Mods will be watching Chat and Reporting suspicious behavior to Admins. Mods will have access to fly, mute, kick, and temp bans which they will use depending on the offence.
You will be up for promotion a few months after launch. We will be basing promotions on Reputation of the Staff Member. We have a player reputation system in place and we will be checking your player reputation when deciding if we should promote staff members to different ranks. As of right now Admin and Mod are the ONLY two ranks available. This may change the closer we get to launch. There is a high chance staff members will be assigned to specific servers in specific ranks. Positions are still open for the server. We are making progress to complete the first server. Once we launch our first server we have plans to open up to a Bungee type setup and build it into a network of servers all operated by our staff.

My co-owner and I are looking for staff members to be apart of a new server we are building. Eventually we will be moving to a Bungee setup with multiple Game Types. However for now we are focusing on custom mobs, custom skills and abilities. Players will be able to pick there class and level up that class to gain more skills and abilities including teleports to specials cities where the player can buy and sell items to server shops and event rent zones for selling there own items they collect. Players will be able to take part in Massive Boss Battles hosted in special areas found by ether using a Boss Key or finding the special portals around the world to access specific Boss Arena Worlds.
We have tons of features planned including a whole story line. However we need help working on the server to set everything up including help when we Launch.

Hello, I am constructing a new Bungee Server with Factions, Towny, Creative, and any other interesting server types suggested by the Staff team. It is my goal to run this group like a business in where there will be individual owners for each server under the Bungee network. Owners of individual servers will be required to search for there own staff and fall under the general guidelines of the MCAfterDark Bungee network. I have a large amount of server space to use so that should not be a problem. Please throw an application out here if you are interested in joining me and creating something new.
I am still looking for individuals to manage and run different server types. You will be given FTP access along with SSH and instructions on how to use the commands to run the server. You would have full rights to hire your own staff members under your server name. If you have additional questions post them here and I will answer to the best of my ability.

Hey everyone... I have a slot open for anyone who wants to start a server on there own. You would have full ssh powers including FTP... You would be welcome to do whatever you want and be supported by my main server Mcafterdark. Currently a website is being developed to showcase my upcoming Massive RPG / Survival server.
I basically need an owner to start and manage a survival server. If you are interested please add me on Skype. Nasutheredwolf to give me your ideas on what you would make. I would give plugin support when needed. The only rules I have is that you use PEX. I would edit the yml to attach to my database. Obviously I would be a background Server Owner. However I will not make calls. The only real reason I would join is to play. Hell I might not even add myself to an owner rank.
You can also feel free to attach a domain. I don't mind attaching the details and MX records. If you pay me using PayPal for your desired domain I will gladly manage that for you. It's honestly very cheap.
I run a server tray with 80gigs of ram and two Xeon processors. The server runs 24/7 and I will be adding a follover server if the main server goes down.
This is a rare opportunity obviously so take it quickly if you want to get in.
I don't care what age as long as I can tell you are serious and would actually develop a good running server.

Hey everyone call me Nasu. I come here today
in search of interested players to help in the construction and
management of the server. I want to explain first that we are NOT
looking for anyone to do plugin maintenance. Anyone who offers in the
application will be ignored... We can handle the Plugins ourselves. We
are not looking for Lead Admins you will earn that right if we think you
are worth it. You will not be applying for specific roles we will
assign you roles based on experience, age, and many other credentials.
It is also important to note that EVEN THOUGH some of you may be mature
and young we still have an age limit for specific roles. You will not be
eligible to be in higher roles if you do not qualify for the age limit.
You can only become an admin at the age of 18+. Mods at the age 15+.
Let me give you a rundown of the server. We are running our own
server tray meaning we have over 70gb of usable RAM two cores at 3.0hz
Xeon (forgot which one but it does not matter) and 4 RAID 146 15K SAS6
Drives. Most of you wont know what this is but lets just say we have no
lag at all... Obviously we have the power to run a server of over 300
players if needed and YES we plan on pushing this to be a big project.
This is no run down simple server at 5Gb RAM 60 players only. We have
SERIOUS power with 4 10/100/1000 rj-45 ports attached to a network
running 160Down 170Up. Constantly running server 24/7.
The project is as follows. We are creating a Survival PVE PVP Towny
Server using Mythic mobs and more including outdated plugins I myself
have recoded and added to our server. The world as named stays 7 hours
in the dark causing all mobs to be out constantly giving a large
challenge to the player. There are only 30min of Daytime a player can
have to go to events and build in safety until the dark consumes the
world once more. These is real time just so you know. Each 30min day
will change every day. Dungeons, quests, shops, and more are planned
including hidden and custom items.
So do you think you have what it takes to step in and help? Again
this is a serious position. You need to be dedicated and willing to
follow under a hierarchy of Staff. You will need to have some form of
contact with me before you are selected and placed in a position. Admins
will have actual Email accounts under our domain name to contact
members. Website is planned including forums and events page.

Skype is needed for contact. We will also be hosting a Team Speak 3
server at some point for players to chat however this is planned and not
