However the way we all build we just get it down on the ground and improve it as we go
Some friends and I wanted to document a smallish project we started on our LAN server.
All of it was 100% legit. We cooked close to 50+ stacks of cobble for the brick. we've been playing on this server for a week or so now and love medieval things so what better way to express that than to build a fortress wall? We plan on doing more, and I'll be taking more pictures this is just what we got in a day. Plans for an entire wrap around wall and a few more towers. Also to bump the wall walkways out on either side a block to prevent spiders from climbing it. Plus it will look better. And of course a lava moat haha

These can usually occur when you light a tree on fire at night... the fire's glow stays there long after it has been extinguished. Just place a torch there and pick it back up =3

Now that explains it!
Farther over the mountain and the one behind it is a surface lava pool, I found this out because about a day into my game the forest that was there was on fire, and I tracked it back to a lava pool. There's trees still burning, I see more and more the farther back I go to look for wolves xD
Other people have had this problem.
Last person I saw that had this issue found a cave there and unwittingly called it his "Glory hole".

There are caves littered everywhere, I have no doubt there's a cave under them.
I think there's a spawner under that sand, so maybe I'll check the lights. :ohmy.gif:
So does anyone have issues with perma lights in areas where there are no torches? I never put a torch here, and it's a pretty fresh save file. Kinda odd, and the first time I've ever had it happen to me, I've had the game for awhile now, since somewhat middle/late alpha and it's news to me.
They're just lights on the ground, like if a weak torch was placed there, but there is nothing there xD

Absolute beauty everywhere, MC's default world generator has nothing on this.
If you're looking for a hardcore experience, this is the server is what you're looking for
Be warned though
