Thank you Leen c: I'll probably draw more when I have time. Minecraft is a great source of inspiration for me. I'm usually just doodling for my friends when I have time. Sadly when you work 40 hours a week and then come to an empty house and have chores to do, time for doodling has become harder to find :T
And.. I'm about to reach my post limit so I'll probably have to wait quite awhile before I post again, hehe. Can't wait til this restriction is gone :smile.gif:
Armor makes it so they will never blow you up unless you intentionally walk into a horde of them.
Iron and Diamond allow you literally hug Creepers.
They do more damage but, unless they did 50 hearts of damage in one go, they will never kill you with Diamond Armor. Nothing will.
Also to the above, yes, it was an exaggeration. It still doesn't take forever to get Iron Armor.
Ahh, this is true. I suppose it's because in the beginning I run around with leather armor which is nearly useless in comparison to iron armor! I will admit, the durability and strength of a full iron set is pretty amazing and could be nerfed a little bit. I play on hard mode and it takes a few creeper hugs to kill me off. Diamond and Gold armor should be the only ones able to last that long. So perhaps a balancing of armor would be satisfactory? I saw you mentioned it above and I think it's something all players, miners or builders, can agree upon.
One this I noticed is having iron armor means slower swimming. Maybe if it meant a decrease in walking speed it would pose more of a challenge. And it would increase the usefulness of speed potions!
This is simply awesome! I love the style and I love the different characters you had! Dancing zombie is my favorite :biggrin.gif: This was super cool, thanks for sharing!
1. Hardcore Mode
2. Full suit of Iron Armor in 15 minutes or less.
Quick Fact: It takes approximately 5 minutes to smelt 24 iron ingots.
BEGIN.
ACCEPTED good sir.
One thing, though, that I'd like to mention is the OP made a comment that this wasn't a whining thread. However, it does border a wee bit on the complaining side. Now, if you had offered some solid comparisons, actual in game proof, or ways to improve the game play instead of saying 'THIS SUCKS FOR ADVENTURERS' then it would see more like you are offering ideas. With most people content with the new changes, you may have a hard time proving your case. To say you can get a full set of iron armor in 15 minutes is something that would be quite a challenge.
Given this criteria:
Start new world
Gather supplies to mine (ie pick axes, wood sticks, torches, coal or charcoal)
Gather food so you wont starve to death and die (Dont forget to cook!)
Find a cave with 24 pieces of iron
Smelt all this iron
I do not think this is possible in 15 minutes. Unless this was an exaggeration :ohmy.gif:! Or unless you meant 'I have a house made. I have all my supplies ready. I'm going to gather iron to make armor'. Then yes, probably more likely.
In any case, it sounds more like you need to try some survival type maps or challenge maps or mods that increase the mob intensity.
And to those saying brewing/enchantment isn't crafting? Think again. To create potions is a craft. To smelt ores is a craft. To cook is a craft. Sure you may not like it, but even getting an enchantment table or getting the blaze rods for a brewing stand is a challenge. Minecraft does have it's challenges. Maybe not to you because you've played it so much, but many do not play hours and hours a day. A trip to the nether can be very intense with only iron armor and a couple arrows :wink.gif:
I believe the idea of improving mob AI would DEFINITELY be good for those hungering for a challenge. Why not create a mob trap that will have tons of enemies surrounding you and see if you can survive the night WITHOUT armor (a CHALLENGE good sir!). You have to be creative! I want more shapes for blocks. Mojang hasn't made this so I can either wait, offer ideas for them, or download mods!
Hello. My name is Six, Nikki, Sixelona, whatever is easiest for you to pronounce.
I am a terrible miner, I take forever to build, and when I go into a cave I bring 3 people to protect me. But I love this game and I have doodled. Here are a couple creations.

Mob concepts, mostly splicing of already in game mobs
I would very much like to see a video of someone getting a full set of iron armor in hardcore mode at the beginning of the generation of new map in 15 minutes. Uncut of course :biggrin.gif:
