Thanks for the response. I have optifine, have all the settings set to low, and also I lag when I maximize the window too. The only time I don't lag is when the window is extremely small (minimized). I don't think its that the game is too demanding because I was able to play on high settings with no lag before I tampered with my computer. I put everything back and still it's not working right. Also, I have a meter that shows my computer's speed on a scale of 1-100 and it's always between 5 and 10 now, whereas before it was in the 20s.
Ok so I was being stupid and messed around with this ancient dinosaur of a computer because I was bored and stuff. I goofed around inside because I wanted to see what a computer was like on the inside, plus I've had this potato for well over 5 years. Before I used to be able to run minecraft, no problem at a fairly high FPS with mods (no stuttering, no lag spikes) but when I play on full screen or maximize the window, it lags like crazy. When the window is minimized, it doesn't lag at all. Can anyone give me some troubleshooting methods for this? I just simply refuse to play a game in a minimized window. Please tell me there is something I can do. I don't wanna have to wait for a new computer. And no its not my system specs, because I was able to run minecraft fine before I tampered with the computer. I think i've learned my lesson to be more cautious when I mess with a computer's insides.

I've been writing about a fantasy world (21 pages front and back) and writing a whooooooole bunch of dialogue (19 pages front and back) for the past month and a half while I was in my classes and I wanted to bring it to life in Minecraft. I just wanted to know what you guys thought about a medieval fantasy map with a bunch of cities/villages/town etc. where you can do lots of things like own a house, rent a room at a tavern, kill anyone, help people, make money, and a few other things. It'll use the customNPCs mod, some furniture mod (I can't stand trying to furnish houses in vanilla minecraft, but can't find a decoration mod for 1.8), and nothing else. Do you think people would like it? I honestly don't care if more than a hundred people like it. The only thing I want is one single person who deeply enjoyed it. I'll put every bit of effort I possibly can into it, because quality is my main goal. I want to give users an amazing time. If I make this map, you can rest assured that the story and dialogue will be amazing. I thoroughly enjoy writing stories and scripts so doing it for Minecraft would be awesome for me. There'll be fun little easter eggs as well for different groups of people, funny quests, and lots more.
*TLDR* How do you feel about a medieval fantasy map where you can do almost anything?
Please is there anyone who can help me? Ever since I logged in in offline mode I have not been able to use the NPC wand. It says I don't have permission but its a singleplayer world cheats are enabled, the config option about ops is false, i deleted all my configs, re-installed minecraft, nothing works. Also i'm using MultiMC.
In single player you can use /op command as in multiplayer
//look your essentials config
I don't have essentials. Is that a mod or a plugin? And when I use the command it says that the command doesn't exist with the generic text message saying to type /help for commands.
Open your world for multiplayer in options. Then try to use /op your_nickname_in_game in console. If there an error, post your log from .minecraft\logs\latest.log
Hi there, I need help with the customnpcs mod by Noppes. I can't use the NPC wand to spawn NPCs and it just says "You don't have permission to use this". Is there anything I can try to fix this? I already tried the option about OPs being the only ones who can add and edit NPCs but is there anything else I can try? Also tried deleting everything related to custom npcs. Didn't work. Tried using a fresh minecraft but still nothing. I'm using 1.7.10. Everything is up to date. This all started when I logged in in offline mode and ever since then I haven't been able to use the NPC wand. This is singleplayer.
I'm completely stumped on why this is happening to me. I can't use the NPC wand no matter what I try. I'm using 1.7.10 and it keeps saying "You don't have permission to do this" but in the config it says false for only OPs being allowed to create and edit NPCs. I can't figure out what to do, please someone help me :c

I don't actually understand what you mean. Sorry i'm just really dumb but I did enable portforwarding on my router and made a service and stuff. Idk if that's what you mean.
Hello, this is my first post and unfortunately its an issue. I made a server using Cauldron and the server seems to be running, but when I try to login it just gets stuck at "Logging in....". What should I do? I'll gladly provide any info you need and I would greatly appreciate any help you can spare. Please I just really want to play on my own server.
