So I download the file and open it with WinRAR but how do I use the installer? I see a file named XRayInstaller.class but I cant open it with anything.
You could also use the printing press to make copies of which chests you keep items. I was also thinking that you could be able to print a map into the book somehow. Maybe that's too much or complicates things. What do you guys think?
Besides it doesn't just have to be for multiplayer. It's also to keep spare copies in case you lose the original. That way you don't have to re-write it.
So I was thinking with 1.3 coming soon why not later in the game add the printing press? It would be used to make copies of the books you have already completed. The recipe could be:
(the coal is really an ink sac)
If you right-click on the press there will be a space to place your pre-written, completed book and a space to put ink (for fuel) and a large space for blank books to be put in. Also, if you want the font to be different colors, there should be a spot for dyes, but if you want the print to be plain black, this area should be left blank. You may be thinking why there is a sponge. Well, it would allow sponges to be implemented into the game and have a use. The diamond is there to make sure this thing isnt cheap. After filling in the spaces you want you would then hit a button that says: press, and then you have your copies. If you don't feel the sponge should be there maybe it should be replaced with clay or another substance that could retain its shape like rubber.
Any suggestions would be great! Thanks!
Adding a specific key for each chest wouldn't take up that much data. Overall I like the Iron chest idea, but the only problem is, most thieves are experienced enough to have a diamond pick and simply destroy it.
Ah but what if only the one who placed the chest may break it? To everyone else it is as hard as bedrock.
I was thinking that cider could be added to minecraft as a drink outside of milk. It's effects could be it gives you a short speed boost (from the sugars) and it could be crafted like so:
X=empty space
A=Apple
B= Bucket
X A X
X A X
X B X
If you have any other suggestions related to this topic I'd love to hear them.

I know but, you need something that retains it shape like a rubber stamp. (that's how it prints the letters) Maybe a clay block instead?

Ah! But it is much quicker to make copies this way than to make copies by hand, right?

That's why I said it could either be implemented or another soft object could be used.

No, clay soldiers are useless in that mod.
