To start off, I love this mod, and I think I've played every version of it so far, so great work Azanor.
But now, on to the suggestions: I really like where the thaumostatic harness is taking us, machines powered with Vis are awesome, so why not golems? The current golems as we know them are tiny little things and, although adorable, are completely non-threatening in combat. Why not introduce a Villager Golem sized Golem that runs on Vis? It could even gain different abilities depending on the type of Vis it's running on, truly, it would be a foe to be reckoned with.

Secondly, we need a use for nodes in jars beyond just moving them around, a jar with that much glow-osity inside of it is just begging to be plugged into a huge doomsday device, perhaps in infusion crafting? Right now I've taken to jarring unusual nodes and storing them in a kind of galley, so a use for all these crazy things is very much needed. As I mentioned above, perhaps different compound aspects could cause different results with whatever machinations they powered?

Anyway, I hope you (Azanor) take the time to at least read these suggestions (and at most add some in), and with great hope in my heart, I look forward to whatever new thaumology explodes into my face next update!

Does anyone know an item with the Victus Aspect? I haven't been able to find one and I need it for advanced golems.

    I was hoping for non-retarded answers... :/

I already stated in the original post that i tried snow and it does not work. Expecting half slab blocks to sit on soul sand and retain the "slowness" property is pretty low IQ tbh.

Seeing that only dumb people respond to these, I will go ahead and let others know what actually worked for me. Only iron and golden pressure plates (other pressure plates may, but would click when you walk over them).

Who are you to call anyone here retarded simply because they didn't read the microscopic post-scriptum (PS) that you left at the bottom? Also, why does expecting anything in a world where you literally witness the impossible happening on a near-daily basis make someone low IQ? Tell you what, if you're gonna be such a smug arrogant ***** and entertain the idea that you so much smarter than everyone else here why don't you just figure it out yourself?

posted a message on Self-building (and destroying!) Nether Portal In Vanilla Minecraft
    Quote from sazrocks

Okayyyyyyyyyy, I didn't understand much of that but I assume this means going into the files of the game and editing a lot?

If by going into the files of the game and editing a lot you mean downloading any number of programs, such as MCEdit, and changing the properties of a mob spawner to spawn falling sand (which the spawner can spawn because it's an entity) and then changing the block value of said falling sand to that of obsidian.

Also this thread is stupid because in doing what I said above you aren't using vanilla minecraft.

I have hoped this mod would be released for a long time.
    Thank you, Azanor.

No way. Leather can be dyed, which is good. But armour and tools? People could disguise diamond swords to look like wood or stone, and dia armour to look like leather.

Yeah just like they do now with leather armor, right frog?

posted a message on Too many caves! Game is too easy
I completely agree with you. It is incredibly annoying to ever go mining, due to the unending caves I constantly get lost in. I mean, I know that Minecraft isn't even close to being realistic, but the entire ****ing world would collapse if it wasn't for a complete lack of gravity in the Swiss cheese I now call cave systems.

posted a message on What is all the fun about griefing?
WARNING: Long and existentially destructive paragraph.
Have you every made a sandcastle, then kicked it down when you got bored? Do you like watching huge explosions? Do you enjoy having power? That last question is the core. To destroy another person's creation is to have power over them, in other words, greifers IRL and in-game take some enjoyment from the destruction of other people's things. The sad fact is if there were no consequences in the real world, the human race would burn itself to the ground, just like players do in any multiplayer game ever created. Now it's true that some people are kind, generous, and truly enjoy building and creating. (god this is ****ing cliche) But there will always be those who choose the path of destruction. Even the universe is all about destruction, black holes, supernovas, etc. Do you know about entropy? Apparently the rate of stars produced is slower than those being destroyed, so eventually the entire universe will be completely black and devoid of life.

I probably went way overboard with this thing and traumatized you in the process but there you have it, people enjoy destroying things. Even I like destroying things, like just now how I destroyed any single hope you had about philosophy and the human race.

posted a message on Has Jeb ruined Minecraft?
I REJECT YOUR RANT AND SUBSTITUTE MY OWN:
Sir, I enjoyed reading your opinion on minecraft today, and I congratulate you on being able to focus on something so well thought out for such an extended period of time, as you are obviously a complete backward-ass dribble **** genius. Your only valid argument was about the biomes, which I agree could use a little more work. But in your stumbling rant about your nostalgic "old days" you forgot that with these updates came massive bug fixes and improvements. Multiplayer now works ten times better (and faster) than it ever did before, which completely invalidates your claim that it makes singleplayer laggier (your computer is probably a typewriter if it does). Also manu3733 has a point, most of the stuff you complained about was added by Notch, are you going to petition for Notch to be fired from the company he built? Even if it was Jeb's fault, how could you ask Notch (or the Mojang team) to fire his trusted friend and ally? Way to go with that voting choice by the way, you know the system works if it's completely bias.

I personally enjoy every update that Minecraft has had, regardless of lead developer. If your poll is to be believed, the majority of players do too.

posted a message on 1.2.5 NEW SERVER NEED BUILDERS
Hello there, my name is Sir_Dragonov (Correct spelling)
I consider myself a great builder, as I have a great style of architecture (Japanese-Chinese being my favorite), and have been promoted to builder on several servers. I also dabble with Redstone and would say that I'm fairly proficient at it now (I've even invented a system for what I call "Timed Long Corridor Lighting").

Point is that I like building, and as any building enthusiast, I would love to build for you and your server.
    Peace Out.

I would have control over the element of fire. I could make obsidian armor, still glowing with magma, or a sword forged in the bowels of the earth out of magma. I could bring entire cities, NO, entire nations to their knees with my mighty power! AND NONE WOULD STAND IN MY WAY! MUA HA HA HA HA HA!

posted a message on Endermen Nerf
    Quote from Bakahana

The question is: Why is it such a good thing to have your creations destroyed? Do you hate them or something? Do you like playing the janitor to the wreckage they leave?

The biggest problem is that they do it without needing our interaction. It's an unnecessary punishment for just playing the game. Sure we can Enderman-proof our structures, but why should we have to? We don't Creeper-proof our structures. Creepers don't go around exploding for no reason. If we tick off the creeper they react. Similarly the Enderman ability should only be used when we catch their eyes.

Another problem is that they are deleting the world. They don't drop the blocks they pick up if they die or despawn. This means that at any moment random blocks below the ground are being deleted. Not picked up and moved but deleted. The work it can take to get some blocks makes this a very bad thing. They could be picking up diamond gold and other rare blocks and deleting them.

Now, do they need to stop picking up blocks? No. Like you said they could be expanded upon and fixed rather than just not build. For example: They might seek out certain blocks for structures that they are programmed to build. While passive they won't take any blocks that they don't need or blocks that have blocks on top of them (to prevent them from hurting trees or player walls to an extent). While angered they can pick up anything and will move any block to get to the player. If they die they drop the block they picked up.

Tada it now is not a griefer nor has its ability been removed. Only refined and they need refinement, because they don't add challenge to the game. They only make us clean up their mess while they slowly delete the world, which is bad for a game about building things.

At first I disagreed with you, it's not about your creations being destroyed it's about protecting them, like you said, creepers offer no challenge, you don't have to defende against them. Endermen give you a reason to protect yourself. The rest of your statement I completely agree with, it's either build more intelligently, or don't destroy buildings.
