I think that the plane wrecks are a little off the chain at the moment - they were a good touch, but they just seem to happen randomly, or when a mob walks into it.
I land my wooden bi-plane (v8 oohh yeeaaa) on a plain. Its fine, i take the coal out (I'm not sure what it means when the prop is smoking, perhaps that's my issue) walk away, turn around. Darn sheep walks into it and BOOM, all but the wooden cockpit is burnt in the fire (my v8 :SSSS:)
Either that or it just happens randomly, this isn't the first time my plane has exploded while parked
I updated the pack to 1.7.2! Nothing has changed except for adding pistons and shears so it is compatible with 1.7.2. I take no credit for any of the contents of this. I'm just a fan of the pack and don't want to see it die. I hope everyone enjoys! Download here! (Mediafire)
(Edit) I fixed the bed textures being misaligned.
I just updated and realised that it hasn't pistons yet. I'll nag her.
I don't surf these forums frequently and I'm not reading all 52 pages to check, but this is pretty cool.
When you place a bed in the corner of a room of which the corner is hollow, when you get out you will come out in the hollow corner. So from top down: (red = bed, you = sheep)

This means when a zombie (as depicted) spawns on you, you hop out of the bed inside that corner, keeping you safe from the zombie while containing the potential threat. You can then travel down your corridor to get to dealing with the intruder. Doubt this was intentional, so may get patched out some time.
This is quite annoying. I literally had the old executable running fine, logged in playing round in SMP. I quit, got a drink, then decided to replace the old launcher with the new one. Suddenly, i am getting all the problems you guys above are getting. Leads me to believe a fault in the new launcher.

referral: none (could PM to a forum/ local LAN hosters that have a little server up, but as it has no whitelist i don't want to post it right here.) EDIT: may have taken that wrong - found this by looking for the server with most potential, the server thread with a very large amount of posts (over 4000 is a pretty good effort)
reason you should you be accepted: I bought minecraft within a day of seeing/playing it back in about mid alpha because within minutes of playing, it came to my mind the potential of this game online. Huge cities and small communities, little disputes and reckless battles. This server i think has to potential to provide that dream.
information you would like to add: Wants to provide the citizens with log! (... its big, its heavy, its wood! great for a snack too btw). Also would like to know what the position on the underground is - can i branch mine huge expanses a block above adminium?
Fix doesn't work, but there has been interesting results from another point of view that makes it worth trying even if you didn't have problems. The fix has potential to boost your frame rate from 30 to 170 kinda potential.
I'm wired to my router and the router is wired into the tubes. New Zealand is perhaps a little behind, still working on that fibre to the door business.
A thread with the mates who are hosting the server i've mainly been trying to get into. Post at bottom of thread is of most relevance. Got some sexy guy who managed to replicate the problem (apparently it is minecraft itself) and is now working on a fix. Should be up later on. If it works i'll post the fix here in the support forums
Any protips on how to bypass the router? I've spent hours bitching to Vodafone before and they will likely just blame my end to begin with, so might as well clear my end off the suspect list first.
My Friends are on a different ISP in another area of the city where Connections are stronger than in my rather rural area.
Latency is an average of 41ms
Don't know.
I have discovered in using this server, everything appears to be fine, though i don't have build permission to test if it'll keep going when i change some blocks. Chat on the other hand, works in that server, not taking over a minute to see my own messages. Only up to 5seconds
It was suggested if i could try another computer in the house by one of the friends hosting the server. Same problems on a computer (quite different build to this rig too if i remember correctly) in another room of the house, so that perhaps narrows it down to router/ISP/the server (though there are people using it fine)?
well meaning that single player is fine its not the drivers. newer isnt always better. by portforwarding are you playing on your own server? you normally don't need to do any port forwarding if you are using a client to connect to an external server. nor do you need to do it if you are playing on your local server.
I'm pretty novice at port forwarding, so what ever i did do, it was mildly beneficial, or the improvements were coincidence.
I'm trying to play on a server of a few friends over the internet that is running smoothly for every one else.
I have this problem no matter what server i join over the internet (i tried half a dozen from the server forum here), lan i believe is fine, though i'd have to check...(to be edited)
Drivers installed for 9800GTX, no improvements unsurprisingly

Be quiet, stop bumping. It is apparent no one cares.
