posted a message on OS boot drive ONLY
I am installing my OS on a HDD, but I want it to boot as fast as it can. So I am going to install games and everything else on a secondary hard drive. But, I know software tends to sneak some things onto the C drive even though I said to install on another drive. How do I fix this? Is there a way to make my C drive strictly a boot only drive?

I'm going to buy a 32gb ssd for my boot drive but I know that programs tend to sneak in a few files onto the 'C' drive although it is supposed to install on another drive. How do I make it so my SSD is STRICTLY a boot drive with nothing else on it. Literally nothing but Windows. Thanks!

    Quote from Thescorpi0n

    Define "a while".

All night, so about 8-10 hours. Also there was no failures.

posted a message on PC doesn't start on cold boot
I recently OC'd my CPU(AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition) to 3.8ghz at 1.45v. My motherboard is the ECS A885GM-A2. I also have 2 sticks of 4gb 1333mhz ram, a radeon hd 7870 and a 530w power supply. That's some relevant hardware information, now onto the story.

So I wanted to overclock my CPU, so I went into bios, changed the CPU frequency and CPU voltage. I restarted and all was swell. I ran Prime95 for a while, and from what I can tell it was a stable overclock. I played some games(BF4, DayZ, etc.) I turn off my computer and the next day comes. My PC will turn on but not start. It will reset itself but not only after a few resets will it actually boot. When I reset bios, it turns on fine and all is swell again except I am not overclocked. So this brings me to conclude that my overclocking is causing the problem. BUT, how do I fix this problem AND keep my overclock? Thanks!

from what I can tell, old Verizon iphones work with this service. I put my meid in and it said that my iphone 4s(verizon) was compatible with their sevices. But, is there any other plan rather than the $45 a month? Is there $35, $30, etc? Thanks.

Thanks. You mentioned that the Sidewinder is only red led. Does the Deathstalker had more than just green led?

Hello, I am stuck between 2 keyboards I like. The Microsoft Sidewinder X4 and the Razer Deathstalker. Which should I get and why? Also, before you say "get a mechanical" can you explain why? What's the big deal about mechanical keyboards?

posted a message on Raspberry Pi
Hello all. I've become interested in a cheap way to stream movies directly to my tv. I've come across the raspberry pi months ago but never thought of it as a conclusion to this problem. I have a few questions about it.

    1. Will this be able to stream netflix, play youtube videos etc.?
I think this is a stupid question as it is a computer but I just want to make sure.
    2. Can I use wireless keyboards/mice on this? Wireless recievers? USB "facecams"? I totally forgot what those are called. Haha.

Thats it. Thanks for the help!

Ahhhhh, okay. Haha, thanks for the info on the sound card. I will take some looks on headphones and a standalone mic. Do you have any suggestions? Something cheap, but good quality.

posted a message on Sound card + headset
Recently i've been searching for sound cards and headsets to go along with my gaming pc. I've done some research and also wanted to stick in the $50-$70 range. I've come down to this sound card:
    http://www.newegg.co...N82E16829265001
I've come to the conclusion of this sound card because it was cheap and fit my needs of 5.1 surround sound. I've never had a 7.1/5.1 headset, but i've read reviews and differences, and the 'average' person can't hear the difference. So I just went with the cheaper 5.1 card.
Now. The part that is most important. I've come to these two headsets:
    http://www.newegg.co...N82E16826193069
    http://www.newegg.co...ID=3938566&SID=

So, I've got some questions, since im not the brightest when it comes to headsets..
1.The Rosewill's have their own built in usb sound card dongle, so I will not be able to use the sound card i've selected. Is the quality the same if I were to use the sound card instead of the dongle? What are your personal or professional thoughts on this?
2.The G430's also have a dongle but I can also plug them into the sound card. Is the sound card worth it, or should I just use the dongle?

Thanks. Also if you have any suggestions on other headsets/sound cards, please post a link!
