I have been getting into watching things about the MindCrack server and it seems like it would be a ton of fun to play on a survival server. All of my other servers i used to play on were all modded building servers. What do you look forward to the most in our server: Having fun and just playing minecraft. Do you have Skype or TeamSpeak 3: I have an old skype that i no longer use. Tell us about yourself: I used to be a Whitelist member of the Voxel Box. I no longer play there because of time constraints and other random reason. I am a laid back person who plays for fun.
As a moderator of the server i can truthfully say that this is a great server to play on. We have friendly and cool people that will make playing fun. We have a lot of cool plugins that make playing enjoyable and never dull. It never hurts to try it out either :wink.gif:

First of all and most importantly, we are a server that requires a texture pack.
The texture pack you MUST HAVE to play is The VoxelBox Pangea texture pack.
The Owners of the server is: NewStarburst and is also partially co-owned by WellStarBursts.
We have very nice and helpful staff that will answer any questions.
We use many of the Voxel Plugins so your playing time will never be boring.
Second, you must follow this format and provide one or more pictures of builds you have made (doesn't need to be with the texture on) Post your application in the comments of this thread. If i approve you will be given the IP to the server.

The server is mainly a creative based server setting you into a "demo" world were you must build something to prove your ability and eventually get granted the member rank. Once you have obtained the member rank you will have access to better things that will help you build better.
You start off with an item called a dooplicator. Right click on an item to get a stack of it and use it to build.
We are very strict about griefing so if you are caught you will be banned. We have 0 tolerance for it.
We have a nice community and we hope to bring new, kind, people into this that will be happy to help others in builds and be nice when new players arrive.
I will post some pictures of builds on the server that may encourage you to try and join. Hope to see some of you on here and enjoy! :smile.gif:

iron is better for overall mining since you will probably get a profit of iron anyway and it's a lot faster. If you're just walking around killing pigs for example a stone sword would do just fine. same thing with gathering materials. if you need dirt a stone shovel would be the best to use so you don't waste the uses of the iron
i think there should be throwing javelins. they would do a little less damage then arrows but have a slightly longer range. It would be like the bow and arrows but you wont need to craft a bow to shoot them.
the way to craft them would be like this:

you would get, lets say, 2-4 javelins per craft. it would be balanced with the bow and arrow but would be a fun addition and wouldn't really be that hard to implement into the game already.
well just my idea. i think Notch should expand upon the usable items within the game. It would be nice to see more types of weapons being added to the game (but not overdoing it).
no offence but i dont like the idea of plug in controllers for minecraft. its a pc game. pc's are composed of a keyboard and mouse. i think it should stay that way personally. if you add more ways of doing it it looses the feel of it.
i just got an idea. i dont know if it already planned out or anything but i want to see more client options. mostly for multiplayer use tho.

-A SKIN SELECTOR-
it would work like the texture selector. you would drag the skin files into the minecraft folder and there would be an option under texture pack where you can select your skin and it conveniently switches it. (instead of having to go to minecraft.net and manually do it). it would be a huge time saver. especially if you wanna switch skins (for whatever reason) even if your offline.
for two,
-A SERVER LIST, SAVER, SELECTOR-
it would be a drop bar type selector under the enter server ip screen in the multiplayer section. you would be able to manually save server ip's and select the one you want to play using the drop bar. the previous server ip would still stay in the box but now you can easily select one of your servers instead of having to find the ip again and typing it in. and we all know what a pain that can be. especially with no C&P in minecraft.
