    Alright, so I have a bit of a problem.

    I'm running a 1.7.10-1614-58 Thermos server and have recently added a few new mods.

    A handful of those mods seem to be having problems with Thermos. The data on the items gets reset, when a player relogs with the items in their inventory.

    For example;
    This is my inventory before leaving the server.

    This is my inventory when rejoining.

    As you can see, the Botania mana items that were filled are now empty, the mana mirror is no longer connected to the mana pool, the golden glass forge microblock (The block on the left of the mana pool) is rendering as invisible in my inventory and as an enderthermic pump (apparently the default microblock?), when placed, and my golden bag of holding is no longer holding.

    I have spent weeks fuming over configs, there is no difference between client and server. I've even tested it on a completely fresh server instance, with no change in behaviour.

    There are absolutely no issues, when running on a normal Forge server, or when in singleplayer - All issues are seemingly related to Thermos.

    I've reported this on the issue tracker, but I wanted to make a post here, as well, in case anyone knows how to fix the problem.

    I'm having some issues with versions 1.7-1.0.13 through 1.0.15:

    1) When the config is changed in-game, it doesn't update the changes to the actual text config - But the changes save even after completely closing Minecraft.
    2) When the text config is edited and saved, the changes don't go through to the game.
    3) After starting with a fresh install, BF's config no longer generates.
    4) Coral renders as black/dark enough that you can't really tell what the colours are.


    I've tried using the 1.7-2.0.X versions, however they cause the client to crash upon loading up a world.

    I'm using Forge version 1614, no other mods.

    So, I've found a bit of a bug.


    Mods used:

    SmartCore v1.7.10-1.0

    SmartRenderv1.7.10-2.1

    SmartMoving v1.7.10-15.3.1

    Brad16840's backpack mod, v1.7.10 - 3.0.4


    I've contacted Brad, with the following:


    To which he has replied with:


    "Smart Movement is expecting the first 'layer' in the layer renderer list to be the player's armor, but my mod happens to insert its backpack 'layer' before that. So when Smart Movement blindly grabs the first 'layer' it ends up drawing the player using the backpack's texture instead of the player's armor texture.

    Smart Movement can fix the problem (and make their code safer) by iterating through the layer list to find the LayerBipedArmor layer instead of just assuming its the first layer.
    Here's an example (for them) of how they might do that.

    If not, you don't have any problem with it being fixed and redistributed, correct? Just double-checking, as I don't completely understand licensing.

    Having trouble finding the config files for TreeCapitator. I have the version that can be changed through the 'mods' section in-game, but I need the config to stick on the server. Is it in a new location, or should I switch to an earlier version?

    Alright, bare with my inability to explain things properly, please.

    I'm trying to take some fancy screenshots to use for random digital art projects, however, I'm having some issues getting my shader pack to play nice with custom sky packs so that I can have clouds.


    I've already gone through and changed "const float sunPathRotation" to 0.0.

    My render distance is much higher than 8. (Far/Extreme)

    The only shader pack I've found that does what I need and that actually works is KUDA

    The resource packs I've tried are Dramatic Skies, Clouds Pack, and Realistic Clouds Faithful

    The modpack I'm running also has these mods (Plus or minus a couple, but they should all be inconsequential - I'm the only one having these problems out of the handful of people who run shaders on this modpack [::EDIT:: Confirmed theory, works even with a fresh slate, no mods other than Forge, Optifine, and Shader mod.])




    [Are we allowed to swear, on MCForums? Better safe than sorry, I guess.]

    Don't get me wrong, I love my laptop ... It's just not meant to do these things.


    So, here's the problem:




    With a sky/cloud resourcepack, I assume, I'm actually not sure if shaders can add clouds or not.




    With AND without sky/cloud resource packs




    BEAUTIFUL AS (EXPLETIVE), RIGHT?




    Even though the clouds worked, (I know they look wrong, that's probably very easily fixable by editing configs) it doesn't actually add any "shading" to the blocks AND


    It still renders everything else as pitch black, especially noticeable once I turn off the resource pack, just like every other shader pack I try to use


    So, the question:

    Does anyone know what may be causing this stupid (expletive)?

    Is there any workaround to get the sky/cloud mods to show through the shader pack? I'm fine with the sky not being changed by shaders, as long as I can get the clouds.

    Would it be possible to add in a config option to limit the number of tamed dogs a person can have? (In 1.7.10, specifically!) I have issues with people racking up literally hundreds of dogs for themselves, and have to start the server without this mod to wipe all of DS mobs off of the world.

    For the most part? Yes. I'm currently having issues with mobs not spawning correctly in mushyisland biomes, as well as not spawning as often as they should be anywhere else -- but I haven't pinpointed why. I could just be doing something wrong. In any case, it's something that can be tollerated if you're not trying super fancy shiz.

    I seem to be having an issue with Mooshrooms not spawning. I've set the spawn rate to "100-4-4-8," and even tried removing all other spawns, to no avail. Also, Jas has, as of writing this, decided to ignore the edits I've made to the MushroomIsland spawnrates..

    This is what happens, when MushroomCows and Cows are each set to 1000-100-4-8 in both Plains and MushroomIsland. This happens with nearly all mobs (I have been able to get hostiles and horses to spawn, a few times) and only seems to happen with MushroomIslands.

    HOWEVER: Spawns overall seem to be borked. You see two Mushycows spawning, here. This was after about three minutes of waiting. They are set to 1000-100-4-8, along with Cows. There should be way, way, WAY more than two.


    This is using KCauldron build 1.7.10-1614.174, Forge build 7.10.99.99, JAS 0.16,18, JAS Comp. Addon 1.2.0, and WorldEdit 6.0-beta-01

    Is there no longer a Backpack Renderer mod? I'm wanting to update to 1.7.10, and I really like that the backpacks would show up, when on the hotbar..
