Jan 20, 2015SilverJ17 posted a message on AoA--25 New Dimensions• 330 Mobs• 27 Bosses• Skills• Quests• 600+Items [LARGE Bugfix Update, May 2018]Even if it weren't for my comp possibly having trouble handling it, I don't really care for Orespawn that much, outside of a few bosses. Twilight Forest is probably my favorite major mod so far (haven't tried this one yet, but I'm holding out until the 1.7.10 version), aside from Simple Ores. I just need to learn to stop bringing my super diamond gear to the boss battles, because aside for a few battles, mostly with the Lich (I swear the Twilight scepter doesn't seem to care about your armor.), I don't really get challenged much. I'm usually at 12-13 armor bars when I start fighting that mod's bosses. 14.5 is the most I think you can get with the ores mod I got. I wonder how this armor will play out with this mod's bosses.Posted in: Minecraft Mods

Placing millions of torches/ the slab tech. everywhere could annoying fast.Posted in: Minecraft Mods
Jan 13, 2015SilverJ17 posted a message on AoA--25 New Dimensions• 330 Mobs• 27 Bosses• Skills• Quests• 600+Items [LARGE Bugfix Update, May 2018]I see you're adding more after 1.1. Seeing how another favorite dimension mod of mine (Twilight Forest) is said to be getting a final structure and boss in a coming update, as well as you adding more dimensions and most likely bosses to said dimensions, will there ultimately be a final dimension/ boss in your mod as well?Posted in: Minecraft Mods
Dec 21, 2014Hmm. interesting idea, but I'm not sure if my computer would handle a combo of any of those mods. However, I do intend to add this to another dimension adding mod, Twilight Forest. I also have village adding/ tweaking mods. (one or both may be obvious) I would love to try Eternal Isles + one of the other mods from the other people that were on the Divine team or whatever. (though I'm not sure about Divine, unless they nerfed the damage a lot of the mobs do to you)Posted in: Minecraft Mods
Dec 20, 2014Huh.. that makes me wonder. Would using a mod like Somnia that simulates the game, but speeds up time while you're in bed cause any problems for a gun like the one he is referring to?Posted in: Minecraft Mods
Dec 17, 2014I doubt it. However, three of them are mentioned a few posts back. (the contest winners)Posted in: Minecraft Mods
Also, while I thought Doctor's was worthy to win, you got to admit the ones that won were possibly a bit more worthy, especially the one artwork for one of the members of the Primordial Five. (I'm guessing that what it is. The clothing matches their design.) The first one was probably the best one made ingame, so I'm glad that was a winner. I just wish more people would of been able to come up with some other good ones. I couldn't make one as good as some of the not so good ones, but I figured there would of been a few more real good ones.
Dec 17, 2014SilverJ17 posted a message on AleXndrTheGr8st's Mods (SimpleCore API, SimpleOres, Fusion, Netherrocks)I got an idea for a new furnace, but I'm not sure if Aesthetics would be the best place for it, so for simplicity's sake, it would be in netherrocks, unless aesthetics needs netherrocks, since I see blocks for the netherrocks ores in it as well. If at all possible to make a furnace that gives you more xp per smelted items, this is what it would be. It's called the Mystic Furnace. It uses Dragonstone and Mythril ingots (4 of each) and I'm not really sure how it would be colored.Posted in: Minecraft Mods
Since mythril ingots are used, it does get a efficiency boost over normal furnaces, but not as much as a Mythril one. (12 per coal) The main thing about this would be more xp per smelted item. This could be used to smelt more mundane items, such as cobble, sand, food, or cactus to get you more xp out of those to help you grind up faster. I'm not sure what the boost would be, but since Dragonstone is needed, I don't see why not give it a 2x boost. To be honest, I find Dragonstone way harder to find than Onyx. It blends in a whole better unless you got a texture pack.
I can understand if you feel this goes against making it simple, but I don't find new items made from the ores taking away from that, provided they add (more) unique attributes than just looks. The best thing I find about the furnaces is they're not a simple upgrade over the next and so on. I've seen another mod or few add vanilla ore furnances and they're often just upgrades over the next. However, the Mythril one has it's use (good mass amounts of low valuable smeltables) and the Onyx has it's use. (good for high-value smeltables) The Onyx one is not an upgrade of the Mythril in any way.
Dec 15, 2014Honestly, unless you add a flying mount or two, I'm going to try and figure out the redstone mechanics for flying machines good enough, so I can make a flying machines out of slime blocks and redstone blocks if need be to fly to other islands. The only problem would be mobs hitting me off and I'd have to wait for 1.8 of course.Posted in: Minecraft Mods
Haha, what I'll be probably be doing for travel in Lunalus and Haven if flying mounts aren't added by 1.8.
Dec 12, 2014I don't really care for the space castles. I'm more intrigued about the professor's lab in Iromine and whatever structure houses the prisoners in Lunalus, though that might be the Space Castle's dungeon or something. I'm also a tad curious to how some enemies move or attack, especially Deeplands' Dwellers and Iromine's Quickpockets. (Are they hostile, out to steal coins/ items from you, both, or what?)Posted in: Minecraft Mods
I personally think they steal because Iromine was mentioned to be a thieve's dream come true, paradise, or something like that and their name seems to be a one off of the term "Pick Pocket."
Dec 11, 2014Wow, that's a good one. However, if I remember correctly, I think Shadowlord could of been replaced by one of the new bosses. I think Lunalus or whatever it's called boss even has a title of observer or watcher.Posted in: Minecraft Mods
Edit: It's Visualent and his title is The Observer. He has more eyes than Shadowlord to.
Dec 8, 2014I said something on the Iromine mobs post, but I'll say it here to. I'm kind of curious if Quickpocket will steal from you, as the name seems to be a play on of the term "Pick Pocket." I'm also curious if they steal the coins or whatever was mentioned, weapons (and use them against you) or both. My other reasoning is Iromine was described to be a "Thieve's dream" or something like that. Either way, I can't wait to see the mechanics behind mobs like Quickpockets, Dwellers, and Stalkers.Posted in: Minecraft Mods
Dec 7, 2014Repetitive grinding and farming? Gee, I don't remember ever doing this on Kingdom Hearts...Posted in: Minecraft Mods
I can see how it would get annoying, especially since you don't grind for levels like in KH, but I'm okay with that. In the mean time, I'll get all the Mythril, Adamanatium (or however it's spelled), and glowstone powder to make me tons of Thyrium armor and gear via Simple Ores mod to battle the mobs. Well, at least until I get lots of Onyx and Dragonstone to make the ultimate armor combo from that mod. However, even with super diamond armor and weapons, I'll still probably need the various armors thanks to things like Vox Ponds. Also, I see a lot of weapons that make my Power IV Onyx bow (does over 20 dmg + sets enemies on fire because that's a perk of the bow) and Sharpness V Dragonstone sword (over 19 dmg each hit) from my recently finished world look tame.
Sorry for the other mod plug, but yeah. That's what I'd be working with if you were wondering, Xolova. The armor aside, I don't think it adds anything too gamebreaking for your mod or the mods made by your fellow Divine RPG whatever role they played. It only seemed to mess with the another certain dimension mod that added one dimension, with multiple bosses in it. Then again, I went there post-Nether, when I should of gone there first. I mean, it only takes a single freaking diamond to get there.
Dec 4, 2014Honestly, I wish I never found your twitter or worse started following it. If anybody's wanting this so bad at the moment, it's me. I just want to see how this mob fights, how this mob moves (This one is namely the Dweller, but yeah.), and how to not get wrecked by this boss. With or without your post, I understand this is a free Minecraft mod, not a full fledged game (even though this has potential to be it's own freaking game, like many of the huge mods/ modpacks have been). Look forward to the big update, don't rush it. Often rushed games have turned out bad, some even doomed cool or awesome Game Developers (*sniff* Free Radical *sniff*). Haze (published by Ubisoft) will forever be infamous to me and probably many TimeSplitters fans.Posted in: Minecraft Mods
Nov 28, 2014I do recall hearing/ reading about the bosses not getting a nerf when he made that announcement of the nerfs, so he's right. Some of them got huge nerfs. Honestly, I'm okay with how hard-hitting or even the amount of health mobs have beyond the standard dimensions. It's just the Overworld, End, and to lesser extent, the Nether I'd rather not have too many hard-hitting, high health enemies. (I feel the Nether should be a ways harder than the Overworld and possibly The End to, since the Nether is a full dimension, The End is a boss dimension.) Actually, I don't recall seeing any mobs from this mod being in the End. (Divine RPG added several I think.) I can understand not filling the dimension full of new mobs, like I think Divine RPG did, but a mob or two would be okay, so as long as they don't hit super hard or rival the Enderdragon in health. The majority of mobs should be a ways under the dimension's weakest boss in terms of health.Posted in: Minecraft Mods
Nov 26, 2014I actually like this idea, but the destruction factor would be a problem. Granted, I'm sure you'd probably intend for them be toggle-able on world options. Actually, now that I brought it up, what about falling meteors being an world option? (if you idea were to be added) If set to off, you could still find iridium in pre-generated meteor/ comet crashes, but they would be fairly rare.Posted in: Suggestions

Jun 8, 2011Posted in: NewsQuote from GmZTo everyone else, think of it this way; Notch is trying to gain more fans of Minecraft. If they had gone to just PS3, there would be nobody.
You may be right, but I doubt that's the case. Again, Minecraft's quite similar to the Play-Share-Create ideal already seen on the PS3. (At least for Little Big Planet and Mod Nation Racers, which is still a fairly new game.) If you need an idea of how well they do, look no further than Little Big Planet's popularity. I think it could of done almost as well as Little Big Planet and it's sequel, if not better. I guess we'll never know. Oh well, if it does good enough on the 360, we're bound to get our own FortressCraft. Hopefully, it'll be better done to.
Either way, Notch well more than likely be raking in the Benjamins and I'm sticking with PC Minecraft and my PS3. (There's still more games on the PS3 I prefer than the 360 and the internet is still free, despite the issues we've had in the past or might have in the future.)
Jun 7, 2011Posted in: NewsQuote from WertysdMinecraft conquers the world :tongue.gif: I still prefer to PC game only.
Kinda sorta. They're still missing out on two major console makers. (Sony and Nintendo) However, until or if Nintendo gets their act together with their next system in the near future, maybe that to will be possible. Look on the brightside people. At least, the Wii isn't the one receiving Minecraft.
Quote from Alpharius_OmegonNothing wrong with Notch wanting to make some money on the side. But I REALLY want MC for PS3 as well. I hope Notch wouldn't be so stupid as to sign exclusivity with XBox. Hope you're reading this, sire?
1. PS3 is more powerfull and reliable than XBox 360 http://uk.gear.ign.com/articles/111/1116182p1.html
2. PS3 has a better networking infrastructure in PSN and unique marketing possibilities via PSHome
3. PS3 brings the possibility of a massive MC-mania in the western AND eastern hemisphere market, unlike XBox
4. Minecraft is multiplayer oriented - show off or build together and while for XBox live you have to pay, PSN is free. I'm not spending £40 on a MCraft XBox title where I have to pay each month to build a castle with my friends but I'm willing to pay the price for a PS3 version because it comes without any additional cost
5. And (most important of all Mr. Notch), SONY won't screw you over like Mr. William Gates
That's the way I see it. Notch, I hope you really didn't sign exclusivity with Microsoft. That would only halve the number of potential customers = half the potential income. If you had - kiss Minecraft goodbye, Microsoft will take over and leave you on the street. They have a history of stealing other peoples ideas and, henceforth, their income.
Minecraft is too good a game to end up like this. I'm not playing it with the Microsoft logo lurking in the backround.
Howk, I spoke.
I don't see anything bad about it either, but the PS3 should have gotten it to, for reasons 1, 3, and 4. To expand upon number 3, I'd like to restate how well Play-Share-Create (or however it's pronounced) type games do on the PS3. Judging by how things are going now (with just the PC), chances are, Minecraft might just rival Little Big Planet and its sequel in games sold on the PS3, if they play their cards correctly. I'm not too sure on reasons 2 and 5, but maybe. Even though I can care less for Home, it's probably a bit better than Microsoft's avatar thing or whatever it is, which I think in turn is much better than the Miis. I think he said it's also controller compatible, so people fussing about the Kinetic part can kindly drop that part. As long as no exclusivity deal crops up, I'm alright with Minecraft on the 360. We'll probably follow later this year or next E3.
Jun 6, 2011Posted in: NewsQuote from alwaysfsxcantloginNOTCH SCREW YOU!!!!! MAKE IT FOR PLAYSTATION TOO OR YOU ARE SERIOUSLY GOING TO REGRET IT!!!!
I don't I'm that mad. I'm just a little peeved at it not being multi-platform (PS3/ 360), but I'll get over it. I still have my PC version. Besides, if they feel like bragging about it, we still have plenty of our own exclusives to rub right back in their faces.
Jun 6, 2011Yeah, I doubt it'll have much of an impact on the modding community. If you have the game on PC and it works half-decently, why bother with the 360 version? I just wish it could of been on the PS3 to. It might be a social game, but it's a creative game as well. It would fit in on the PS3 quite well. Just look at how successful Little Big Planet has been. I'm not quite sure about Mod Nation Racers (never bothered with it), but I think it was marginally successful as well. Hopefully, we'll see it branch out further in the future (like after November this year)Posted in: News
Now, if only my favorite game (TimeSplitters) with creative features could make a come back this gen and be multi-platform (again) to boot.
Jun 6, 2011Why no PS3? They got their little version of Minecraft already. Let them enjoy that and give us PS3 boys and girls the real deal. It would of been be nice to have another real good Play-Create-Share type game on the PS3. (Little Big Planet and it's sequel are pretty good, but more Minecraft would be better.)Posted in: News
