I found out thanks to the crash report earlier. It's more than likely a dimension ID conflict. If so, you'll have to go into the config for WildyCraft and change the dimension id of Wildycraft to something else, other than 10, since one of EI's dimensions also uses Dimension ID 10. I think the hotfix update Xolova just posted might allow you to change the dimension using 10 to something else now though. However, I'm not sure if it will show up in the config folder or not until you fully load up Minecraft (i.e. get past the crashing), so you might still need to temporarily change Wildycraft's dimension id to something other than 10, load up EI, then go back to the config and change the ids accordingly
I'm going to try and do that when I get the chance, so it doesn't mess with my singleplayer world's portal. (I'm afraid if it doesn't send me to whatever dimension uses id 10, it will most likely crash when I try to use the portal.)
Edit: It's in the Config folder under the name "nolpfij_wildycraft." Notepad seems to work when you need to edit it. I had to edit it before because Twilight Forest uses biome IDs that conflict with Wildycraft's.
Edit #2: EI has a hotfix now and I changed things back. The dimension that uses the same ID/ slot as Runescape Dimension/ Wildy was the Haven. I switched it to 30, in anticipation of anymore non-1.8 EI updates. He's got a spot reserved for the next dimension though. Sorry if there wasn't a point for this edit. I just figured I'd share which dimension it was at least. Dimension IDs for EI so far are 8/9-24, in case you get more dimension mods. Thankfully, none of them were 7 or else Twilight Forest would of acted up for me to.

Feb 1, 2015SilverJ17 posted a message on AoA--25 New Dimensions• 330 Mobs• 27 Bosses• Skills• Quests• 600+Items [LARGE Bugfix Update, May 2018]Cool. Would it be okay if I uploaded any videos of my preview? I've been previewing the mod a bit and ended up deciding to record my experiences. You can also see how my most op armor stacks up against some of the mobs, including tougher ones. Apparently, Everbeasts and Valkyries didn't care about my super diamond armor with full Prot IV. Geeze, that's scary. Speaking of scary. I went to two of the scarier dimensions you added in the second video. (They both interested me alot.) Great job on the jumpscare type mobs I've encountered so far.Posted in: Minecraft Mods
If I post these, just take a note. This is full Prot IV armor = 13/ 14 bars, with other enchants (a couple Twilight Forest ones, as well Unstable and Last Stand from OpenBlocks). The sword and bow are both V for their respective enchants.

I'm adding a dimension ID config for the hotfix. It'll be ready in a few hours probably.
Current plans for the hotfix:
- Rebalanced coin trading for bankers
- Hazmat Armor recipe fix
- A LOT of new organization in creative tabs
- New planks for every wood added in 1.1.
- A couple bug fixes
Lowering the lightning for some of the mod's mobs, so we don't need slabs or spamming torches to keep them out of our house?
Anyhow, I'm glad you're adding planks for the new wood types. That's cool. I wish TF would do something like that for it's many custom trees, instead of using vanilla planks. (Okay, Twilight Oak, I can kind of understand. Everything else should be unique though.) That's really my biggest pet peeve with TF. I would die (not literally) if Rainbow Twilight Oaks got custom planks. Oops.. sorry about that last part about another mod.
Anyhow, I might preview some more of this stuff. I'm going to hold off on my Singleplayer world until I can fix the dimension ID in the config. I'm afraid my Wildycraft portal will either cause a crash or lead to whatever dimension is dimension 10 in EI.
Feb 1, 2015SilverJ17 posted a message on AoA--25 New Dimensions• 330 Mobs• 27 Bosses• Skills• Quests• 600+Items [LARGE Bugfix Update, May 2018]How does one change the config to this mod? I'm asking because I had a dimension ID conflict. I intended to temporarily change Wildycraft's dimension ID to 30, from 10, so EI would work and the config would load, so I can change it. Well, I did that and no config for EI loaded, but they play nice now. Surprisingly, I didn't get biome ID conflicts to, which I had when adding Wildy after already having Twilight Forest. (like almost every biome ID was already in use for TF) I also, if possible, would like to change the lightning level if it's in the config to be a little more managable. It doesn't need to be vanilla, but not where a bunch of things spawn on my creative world right off the bat and lag me.Posted in: Minecraft Mods
Come to think of it, I'm REALLY thinking about ditching Millenaire right now. I love that mod to death, but my computer often chugs while playing Minecraft, namely because of it. (I've played without it before, so that's how I know.) My RAM is 3.75GBs. (I don't fully understand this stuff, but I know 3 or 4 at 64 bit is better than 2 at 32 bit, which was my old comp.)
Jan 29, 2015Welp, I met a nice Maxed player in the wilds. It didn't go over too well. He took me down to half a heart before killing me, but that might of been because OpenBlocks has an enchant called Last Stand. I have level 2 of it on two pieces of armor. I also had a white knight piece of armor. Speaking of which, even with my Sinisite, White Plate, and Thyrium armor set, they hit like trucks. Thankfully, my Onyx Bow can take them down fast and they don't auto-attack me. It can't even damage Mr. Maxed Player though. I actually ran into one before the one that wrecked me, but ran away when I realized my Onyx bow wasn't going to help me. (It does 20 or so damage without enchants, as well as automatically set enemies on fire.) It's the second strongest bow in the ore mod I got. I got a Sinisite bow, but I never use it.Posted in: Minecraft Mods
Edit: Actually, I forgot what I was going to say, but Twilight Forest's Charm of Keeping doesn't seem to apply to the extra items you add via "I." I had a gold one. Thankfully, I have two more, but yeah.
Jan 28, 2015That's weird. Sinisite has a durability factor of 56, Dragonstone and Onyx are 48 and 45 respectively. I wonder what Black Silver from the custom add-on is. I've ran into nigh-unkillable Wither Skeletons and Zombies in full Black Silver armor, but I don't seem so invincible in a full set myself. Okay, I somehow found it, the durability is 48. Those are the four strongest armors I got from that mod and it's add-ons. I'm guessing durability and uses aren't the same because I'm pretty sure most Black Silver armor has 400-600 uses and I'm pretty sure Dragonstone/ Sinisite have even more uses than that. Oh well, at least my swords and bows will do for now, until I get even better stuff.Posted in: Minecraft Mods
Jan 28, 2015Even though your mod has mobs with more health than the vanilla bosses, I think I might finally give this a try. I changed the biome ids, so this could work with Twilight Forest, which I already had. I noticed the explosion from the red dragon can kill me in one hit, even with super diamond armor ( a full set of Sinisite from Simple Ores mod Fusion portion) with 13 or so bars, granted I didn't enchant it in my testing. This could be interesting. I'm just glad the Onyx and Dragonstone from this mod don't conflict with the Simple Ores versions, both of which are found in the nether and are stronger than diamond. I'm still curious as to what to make of this.Posted in: Minecraft Mods
Jan 26, 2015This one is supposed to update to 1.7.10 in a week or so. He's doing a 1.7.10 update before 1.8 thankfully, instead of just skipping the version.Posted in: Minecraft Mods
Jan 24, 2015SilverJ17 posted a message on AleXndrTheGr8st's Mods (SimpleCore API, SimpleOres, Fusion, Netherrocks)Wait, what is the gray one in the alloys section? The one before bronze? Also, what's new with the doors? I still have an older version of the mod with the doors or at least Copper and Onyx doors.Posted in: Minecraft Mods
Jan 23, 2015I have no problems with the overworld mobs themselves, even if they can be hard at times. It's the lightning levels they spawn in that I'd like to see changed. They're getting somewhat nerfed in 1.1 anyways. I don't expect them to be lowered to vanilla standards, but a light level or two lower would be nice.Posted in: Minecraft Mods
Jan 22, 2015Will the lightning conditions in which mobs spawn change in 1.1? (at least in the Overworld) I'd kind of like it to be closer to vanilla's 7. I'm not really into slab houses or torches on every other block.Posted in: Minecraft Mods

Apparently, this isn't so with the OpenBlocks Hang Glider. It's fun to play around with, but feels op and cheap at times. I once managed to fly close to 400 or so blocks from the top of the Ur Ghast tower before landing. Granted, the tower is near max world height and much of the Twilight Forest is around y 40 or less, but still, that's a little far, isn't it? I've also flown across 10-30 block gaps from 3-4, maybe 5 blocks higher than where I'm going in the Nether. I'm not exactly sure how many blocks it was, but when I originally tried it, I was really nervous about falling into the lava.
This isn't even considering you can move fairly fast when using it. I've used to quickly get to the end of my branchmine's tunnels, sans Speed potions. The only downside I know of is you can't fight while gliding because if you switch to anything else or you'll fall. It's also not always reliable. Often, I thought I had it out, only to not really have it out and fall, once to my death. Sometimes, you need to click twice. I now have a tendency to look in F5 before taking the more daring jumps with it.
Jan 22, 2015Oh darn, I hope this won't be a problem in 1.1, because I don't want lose the Twilight Forest. I've already turned down another dimension mod because of a Twilight Forest issue. (This one was biome related.) It added one dimension with multiple biomes/ areas just like TF. In this case, I might go with this mod because there's more than one dimension and plenty of bosses. Also, each dimension brings several new mobs to the table. (Granted, I like how Twilight Forest brings so many area/ structure-specific mobs to the table as well.)Posted in: Minecraft Mods
Edit: By the way, I have a solution to Lunalus and The Haven because my brother suggested the Open Blocks and for once, it was a mod I actually liked, if only for a few things it added. (Hang Glider, Tanks that can hold XP, Hang Glider, good means to both deposit and remove xp from said tanks, Hang Glider, and maybe one other item I keep forgetting.) Seeing how there's loot and stuff to be claimed in this, it seems this mod is another good reason to have the Backpacks mod.
Jan 21, 2015I never realized how bad that was. I just like the ores mod I got because it gives me more stuff to shoot for. Most of the ores that are stronger than diamond are nether-based, but two of them are overworld. By that, I mean they're part of an alloy, not standalone. On their own, they're either a ways weaker than diamond or a tad weaker than diamond, but still stronger than iron. My favorite thing about the ore mod is the best armor sets are often a combination, since they don't scale up 100%. (i.e. the strongest alloy's chestplate and leggings are a tad weaker than the strongest stand alone ore)Posted in: Minecraft Mods

Jun 8, 2011Posted in: NewsQuote from GmZTo everyone else, think of it this way; Notch is trying to gain more fans of Minecraft. If they had gone to just PS3, there would be nobody.
You may be right, but I doubt that's the case. Again, Minecraft's quite similar to the Play-Share-Create ideal already seen on the PS3. (At least for Little Big Planet and Mod Nation Racers, which is still a fairly new game.) If you need an idea of how well they do, look no further than Little Big Planet's popularity. I think it could of done almost as well as Little Big Planet and it's sequel, if not better. I guess we'll never know. Oh well, if it does good enough on the 360, we're bound to get our own FortressCraft. Hopefully, it'll be better done to.
Either way, Notch well more than likely be raking in the Benjamins and I'm sticking with PC Minecraft and my PS3. (There's still more games on the PS3 I prefer than the 360 and the internet is still free, despite the issues we've had in the past or might have in the future.)
Jun 7, 2011Posted in: NewsQuote from WertysdMinecraft conquers the world :tongue.gif: I still prefer to PC game only.
Kinda sorta. They're still missing out on two major console makers. (Sony and Nintendo) However, until or if Nintendo gets their act together with their next system in the near future, maybe that to will be possible. Look on the brightside people. At least, the Wii isn't the one receiving Minecraft.
Quote from Alpharius_OmegonNothing wrong with Notch wanting to make some money on the side. But I REALLY want MC for PS3 as well. I hope Notch wouldn't be so stupid as to sign exclusivity with XBox. Hope you're reading this, sire?
1. PS3 is more powerfull and reliable than XBox 360 http://uk.gear.ign.com/articles/111/1116182p1.html
2. PS3 has a better networking infrastructure in PSN and unique marketing possibilities via PSHome
3. PS3 brings the possibility of a massive MC-mania in the western AND eastern hemisphere market, unlike XBox
4. Minecraft is multiplayer oriented - show off or build together and while for XBox live you have to pay, PSN is free. I'm not spending £40 on a MCraft XBox title where I have to pay each month to build a castle with my friends but I'm willing to pay the price for a PS3 version because it comes without any additional cost
5. And (most important of all Mr. Notch), SONY won't screw you over like Mr. William Gates
That's the way I see it. Notch, I hope you really didn't sign exclusivity with Microsoft. That would only halve the number of potential customers = half the potential income. If you had - kiss Minecraft goodbye, Microsoft will take over and leave you on the street. They have a history of stealing other peoples ideas and, henceforth, their income.
Minecraft is too good a game to end up like this. I'm not playing it with the Microsoft logo lurking in the backround.
Howk, I spoke.
I don't see anything bad about it either, but the PS3 should have gotten it to, for reasons 1, 3, and 4. To expand upon number 3, I'd like to restate how well Play-Share-Create (or however it's pronounced) type games do on the PS3. Judging by how things are going now (with just the PC), chances are, Minecraft might just rival Little Big Planet and its sequel in games sold on the PS3, if they play their cards correctly. I'm not too sure on reasons 2 and 5, but maybe. Even though I can care less for Home, it's probably a bit better than Microsoft's avatar thing or whatever it is, which I think in turn is much better than the Miis. I think he said it's also controller compatible, so people fussing about the Kinetic part can kindly drop that part. As long as no exclusivity deal crops up, I'm alright with Minecraft on the 360. We'll probably follow later this year or next E3.
Jun 6, 2011Posted in: NewsQuote from alwaysfsxcantloginNOTCH SCREW YOU!!!!! MAKE IT FOR PLAYSTATION TOO OR YOU ARE SERIOUSLY GOING TO REGRET IT!!!!
I don't I'm that mad. I'm just a little peeved at it not being multi-platform (PS3/ 360), but I'll get over it. I still have my PC version. Besides, if they feel like bragging about it, we still have plenty of our own exclusives to rub right back in their faces.
Jun 6, 2011Yeah, I doubt it'll have much of an impact on the modding community. If you have the game on PC and it works half-decently, why bother with the 360 version? I just wish it could of been on the PS3 to. It might be a social game, but it's a creative game as well. It would fit in on the PS3 quite well. Just look at how successful Little Big Planet has been. I'm not quite sure about Mod Nation Racers (never bothered with it), but I think it was marginally successful as well. Hopefully, we'll see it branch out further in the future (like after November this year)Posted in: News
Now, if only my favorite game (TimeSplitters) with creative features could make a come back this gen and be multi-platform (again) to boot.
Jun 6, 2011Why no PS3? They got their little version of Minecraft already. Let them enjoy that and give us PS3 boys and girls the real deal. It would of been be nice to have another real good Play-Create-Share type game on the PS3. (Little Big Planet and it's sequel are pretty good, but more Minecraft would be better.)Posted in: News
