posted a message on A launcher update now allows changing to Alpha/Beta versions!
    Quote from colorfusion

Without sprinting, horses, speed potions, beds, and even the nether, I felt that the terrain you were given on a new world was a lot more meaningful. You couldn't just go charging past hundreds of biomes until you find another mountain biome that looks exactly like the others; if you start with a cliff on your left and an overhang behind you then that was pretty much where you stayed and built everything, those 2 features would define the world and make it different from any other seed. Without compasses and beds if you left to explore you had to find your own way back to camp, so going out and finding a new cave system or a desert was a pretty big thing, and not something you'd be doing on your first few days.

    You're so right.

You'll have to try it for yourself. Best to wait until the Forge version is up though, as that'll add a LOT more mod compatibility.

Not enough terrain slots left. You'll have to wait until the Forge version of the mod is released either later tonight or tomorrow.

And what will the forge version do exactly? Add more slots?

Have you ever been banned before? No, I've been on 25+ servers, never was banned.
On a scale of 1-10, how good of a survivalist are you? Honestly, I'm going to say 9.5. The only thing I need to improve upon are the new additions added in Minecraft recently. I don't want to brag, but I'm a pretty decent survivalist. :)

Yeah, I'll check that out, it does look anlittle better judging from the specs, has a programable color keyboard... Awesome! Thanks :)

I'm thinking about buying this laptop, my limit is roughly 1,400$. I was also thinking about buying a dell XPS, but I think this one is better for gaming. What do you guys think? I'm going to use this for gaming btw, that's about it.

posted a message on Gaming Computer - Is this compatible?
    Quote from TheRacker

    Ok, lets begin, shall we.

    DVD drive - good
Case - Ok, could do better though
HDD - reliable, but there are much cheaper ones, seagate barracudas are $90-$100 for 1tb and just as good
motherboard - AHHH GOD IT BURNS A CHEAP ASS BIOSTAR. CHANGE IMMIDIATLY.
gpu - ok low end one, but could do better in your budget
psu - that company is horrible, your pc could be fried in a week from that shitty psu
ram - way to expensive, and 1600mhz adds no performance
cpu - old, ancient, and not very good. Should get a pentium instead.

    What is your total budget?

Added it all up, came to $541. So lets say $550 is your budget. You can get a much better build.

Do you need an OS? It isn't in the build, so I assume not.

Dude, you look like frodo, that's awesome

The world size I'm not so sure about... Hopefully it's only temprarly in place for a while. Maybe just till they get out the major bugs then hopefully there could be an update that could expand the size. Nobody likes map restrictions.

But if they do keep it in place, does that mean they're bringing back the "Farlands" or will it be like some sort of invisable wall?

I saw a video, it is an invisible wall. On the map, it was a big island, enough to fill an actual map; he said you start out with a map. If you leave the island, there will be a vast ocean (At least for the map he was on, idk if every map is like this) and there will be an invisible wall at the map's boundaries.

Up to 4 players can split screen. Up to 8 players can play multiplayer together, regardless if it's split-screen + friends, all friends, 2-split + 6 friends etc.

Do you know what terrain generator it will use?

Oh goody, I've always wanted to watch a couple of guys putter around on a Minecraft server trying to make a rollercoaster.

If it wasn't for the ocasional facecam adjustments (why did we even need a facecam in the first place?) I wouldn't have even thought that these guys knew they were being filmed.

I agree with everything you just said, that was a terrible video.

posted a message on Looking for Creative Server
Hello, I've been searching for a creative server and can't seem to find one. I usually play on survival servers, but want to see others creations. I want to help people build things, and just have fun. Every server I join either has a normal map created, like a normal world, not flat, or has the flat map but the people's creations really suck, lol. So if you play on a server, can you tell me the IP so I can help build? Or maybe you're creating a new creative map. :)
    Thanks.
