There is no way that i know of to undo this kind of damage. You will have to start over. However a bit of good news. Only the areas that were loaded are going to be affected. Anything in chunks that are too far to be loaded will still be intact when you reload in 1.12. Unless your nephew moved around. You should be able to rebuild.

If there is too much missing you might just need to start over.

Just remember to start keeping backups.

Solved! I found by watching a Xumavoid video that to overwrite pre-existing loot tables your loot table must be in the following folder. With the namespace required to be "minecraft" Not as seen in the information provided by the wiki. That kinda of information needs to be added to the wiki.

Found the fix.

You supposed to put the cow.json in just the loot_tables folder. But it seems to be broken at the moment. Here is how the file structure is supposed to be.

The wiki tutorial shows the same file structure.

I wanted to create a custom loot table but first i wanted to run a test to see if it works. So for now i gave the vex the loot table of the slime. I placed the new vex.json w/o modifying any part of the code in the folder described in the current 1.13 data pack wiki. went in game killed a few vex and nothing happens.

..The data pack is working because all the custom crafting that i have added works fine.

I have been trying to add enchantments to custom crafting in the same type way it can be done with villagers. Not even sure this is even possible yet.

This is first code I tried It gives the pickaxe but no enchantments.

Second code i tried using the same code that works in 1.13 with the /give command. But this one gives me a error. So i know this is completely wrong in some way.

So is there actually to get this to work?

Also I think we need a data pack section in the forums.

the the last few years i have been using The JVM arguments for run minecraft in windowed boarder-less mode.

Using

-Dorg.lwjgl.opengl.Window.undecorated=true

However when i try snapshot 14w47a/b it no longer goes into windowed boarder-less mode.

Is there a fix for this?

A woodland Mansion that is almost 3 complete floors that close to spawn. This should be added to the seeds section as well.

For me the worst was release 1.7 / 1.8

It was not content. It was the patches after release. To date 1.7 was the most patched version I have ever played. Going from 1.7 > 1.7.10. with 1.8 close behind with 9 patches. Servers had to frequently update to keep up. And updating a server can be a nightmare. I guess this means that 1.13 is going to be a disaster.

Fortunately Bukkit at the time made 1.7.10 servers compatible with most 1.7 versions so people with mods like optifine / rei's mini map did not need to update every time their favorite server updated.

is there a way to increase the zoom out to find a build i visited a few months back on a server? Sine i teleported ti it there is no trail to follow and i forgot to set a waypoint.

Or can i load the data files voxelmap saved for that server to something like a google map?

haven't seen anything on it yet. Have you abandoned the fly / xyz portions of this mod?

I have been using this for years. Backing up my builds from servers i played on every time they want to reset the map. Mainly because Most servers will not provide a world download of the previous map.

I would like to see the XYZ / minimap in Windows 10 ed like you can with the pocket ed with the "minecraft toolbox". Is there a version for minecraft windows 10?
