You're over-exaggerating the problems of the snapshots. It's barely noticeable on my computer.

You do realize that almost all mods have a direct link to their mod right below the adfly link? In addition to this, I don't think adfly is illegal in any way. I'm not an expert on the paperwork or anything, but if everyone uses it and I can't find something that says it's illegal, I think it's legal.

Also, 100 cows don't produce that much lag. They really don't. Try it yourself. Use SPC and spawn 100 cows.

Because, you know, breeding doesn't make 2 Cows for every Cow bred? It makes 1. 2 Cows becomes 3. 4 Cows becomes 6. Etc.

That's right. I am. It takes a rather long time to farm enough diamonds for a diamond armor set. Same with cows.

Also: Let's see how long it would take to breed around 100 cows to kill, which would totally supply anyone enough bookshelves for an enchanting table. It takes around 20 minutes for a cow to grow. Let's say we start out with around 10 cows that we find in the wild. I'll be estimating for time's sake. I also don't have a calculator on me.

0 - 10 - Breed
5 - 10 adults and 5 children. In 5 minutes, adults can breed again, so-56 - 10 adults and 10 children.
10 - 10 adults and 15 children.
15 - 10 adults and 20 children.
20 - 15 adults and 23 children.
25 - 20 adults and 28 children.
30 - 25 adults and 36 children.
35 - 32 adults and 44 children.

Now that's 76 right there. I'm too lazy to continue, but it would take much less then an hour to get a nice 100 cows. And of course, it only gets faster from there.

Edit: Oh yeah. If my math isn't horribly incorrect or something, this is less the the time required to grow the necessary reeds.

By the way, we should totally increase the spawn rate of diamond ore veins. I mean seriously. It takes like, an hour to get enough diamonds for just a single set of diamond armor! I think we should take the diamonds out of the diamond armor recipe as well, but the diamond would be required when we enchant the armor.

Yes, because playing three megaservers gives you enough insight to know exactly how laggy and populated the thousands of other servers there are. Seriously. All the servers I play on have no block lag at all, with very nice population base that always leaves room for more.

To be honest, I didn't read this topic in it's entirety, but from what I've gathered, an disturbingly copious amount of people don't even understand how this new feature is likely going to work.

As far as I understand, the update to merge SSP and SMP isn't going to force multiplayer. It will allow a single player world to be hosted as multiplayer directly from the standard client, while also preventing Mojang from developing essentially two separate games. The standard lag and bugs (if they aren't fixed) will only occur while a single player world is hosted as multiplayer.

Is anybody familiar with the similar pocket edition multiplayer? Look that up.

This is much harder. You have to constantly hold shift while trying to place a block next to the one you are standing on. Also you cannot go from high up on a ledge, straight down if there is lava under you.

But, with ice you could just place ice and jump down and flood your way across the lava lake, turning it all to obsidian.

Wrong.

Ice would allow you to move quickly across areas that would otherwise be very difficult to travel through. There is a lot of lava in the Nether and quickly turning it all to obsidian with ice does impact the environment greatly.

Ice you place one block. You are talking about moving many things at once and placing them. This isn't at all the same thing.

None of these suggestions are practical and would take a lot of time an effort. You can't grow any crops with your dirt and breeding chickens takes forever.

I never said that and last time I looked there is no naturally occurring water or ice in the Nether. That is because it is too hot.

A textbook overreaction, just like the OP. Do you have this problem a lot? You seem to make a lot of assumptions. At what point exactly did I say that racism is good? I was merely suggesting that reacting like this to someone who is racist is not an appropriate reaction. Nothing good will come of it. His friend will not stop being a racist and now he has one less friend than he did before. If the OP had maintained his calm he could have remained a positive influence in this other person's life.

Next time you think something doesn't make sense try to lead by example rather than fly off the handle and be a total douchebag.

We have documented (that is, tested and supported) micro-evolution in hundreds of cases (and make no mistake, you cant have microevolution without macroevolution and speciation, they are the same thing), and the fossil record is so incredible vast and incontrovertible that it is impossible to logically deny without being disingenuous.

Elements in the correct proportion at the correct temperature, form more complex molecules that, in the correct proportion and temperature (really, really, hot- like lightening) become even more complex, and so on until you have a molecule that can reproduce itself. This is thought to be RNA, the first life. From there, these self-reproducing molecules enter bubbles in the water (in which they started), and become massive in number. When these self-reproducing-chemicals-in-bubbles become massive in number, and the statistics then say that things will happen to certain self-reproducing-chemicals-in-bubbles which make individuals more fit, and soon only the more fit ones survive over the originals, and this continues, and in about a billion years, you have the first cell. The process accelerates from there.

Second, the chances of life arsing are less than a decimal place then 10 zeros and a 1 in THE PERFECT CONDITIONS, IN YOUR LIFETIME. Were talking about billions of years time scales here. "Occasionally" in that video is the stupidest simplification in a long time.
And that's not even all, we have created the building blocks for life under natural early-earth conditions.
