When is the version for Minecraft 1.7 coming out? I really want to use, considering that the mods I am using are all 1.7.2?
Ras posted on post 159 that it will probably not be updated until 1.8 :(

hello I would like to ask for you primission to use this in a new mod pack that I am creating for my friends and I. Although it does not fully fit the theme of it, we all really enjoy it and would love to have it in there.

    As per the Original Post:

Mod Packs / Private Server Use

You're permitted to distribute this mod as part of a mod pack, whether for public or private use. A link to this thread is all that is asked so users are able to understand how to use the mod.

Awesome Mod Mineshopper! Made a short spotlite on youtube for you or anyone who would like to check it out and learn more about this awesome mod!!

Decent video wished it covered more of the features of the mod. Few things you did not mention or show would be the different states the doors and hatch can be set to such as it can be treated as an iron door or wooden door. The pressure plate can have settings for activation by only mobs/players/anything. You missed the covers such as seeds and snow and the others. The doors/fence/hatch have multiple appearances. The light sensor can be inverted. This is just to name a few. I know it was a quick video but lots of the features that took time were missed. Regardless, thank you. :)

Anyone have any ideas what may be causing my bug. I have tried stripping my world of every .dat file possible (I have backups) and that didnt seem to do anything

you need to post a crash log or bug report for others to help you. :)

    Hello Dear Author:
Recently I was making a map, while you produce mod I feel very close with the elements I need,
Did not know the author Can you let me put the mod on my map, and post to other players play?
Of course, in the article, I will emphasize the source of the mod, thanks to the author's answer.

Yes you are able to do this.

Worth it to make the new 2 block high plants work!

    Awesome mod!!!
this mod makes buildings even more customizable but... can you add Carpenters Crafting Table maybe? and furnace too?
and why not a Carpenters Sign?

    still Awesome this mod tho!

At this point anything with a GUI is not able to be a carpenters block. In the future it may happen not not for now. :)

I was wondering if we could maybe get a Carpenter's Slab in this mod. Don't get me wrong, the stairs, slopes, doors, beds, etc. are awesome, but I feel that a slab would fit well.
    As stated in the OP:

To create a slab, you need the Carpenter's Block. To shape it into a slab, right click the block with the Carpenter's Hammer. The slab will form opposite of the side you hit. Alternatively, left-click the block with the Carpenter's Hammer to cycle through all slab orientations.
Carpenter's Blocks placed adjacent to the slab will match the neighboring slab type automatically, but won't necessarily be a continuation of the piece depending on orientation. Hold the sneak key while placing the block to override this behavior.

Maybe you should explore all possibilities of the mod first before making forum posts like this :P

Whoa! Old post. The changelog is in the Download spoiler in OP. It goes back all the way to v1.0.

    1. My lighting currently doesn't play nice with half slopes. It's a bug I intend to figure out, just not now. And a more capable collapsible block is more likely than any half slope implementation, mainly because it will accomplish nearly the same amount of customizability.

    2. I would have to write new render methods just for snow. Yikes. And it wouldn't work the way snow normally does because my block would have to pretend to have snow on top.

    Hey!
First: Thanks to you for the mod, I love it! I do it with many mods, but Carpenter's Blocks is one of my favourite.
Second: I'll be honest, I wasn't careful when I looked at the problem, but as I think, your blocks (slopes in my case) don't do anything with snow. I mean, when snow falls on a CB slope, it won't become snowy. Should I look over again (I'm not at home yet), or they really don't change on snow. If not, could you make something with it?
I'm using Seasons and Better Snow (and some more, but they are not related in this), so in winter that would be awesome if blocks turned to snowy and in spring-summer changes to natural. Is there any way to do it?
    Thanks!

If you look at the previous page it was discussed already

ps. may i ask if you have a changelog somewhere ? Couldnt find it.

I do not believe he has a log anywhere typically as he updates he makes a post on the changes but not an official log.

edit: I guess I was wrong LOL

    Hi,

I want to say to start with that this mod is awesome! I was playing with it last night and creating some fancy stuff. I was wondering if you would mind if I did a spotlight for your mod and put it on my YouTube channel? If would show you the video first if you wanted.

    Andrewbacca

Spotlights are always welcome and if it is good enough it could make it onto the OP, the best ones are the ones who go in depth on the mod.

    And you might get paid.

That is kinda important, no one supports this mod with donations so the use of adfly and such does benefit mineshopper somewhat.

May someone tell me how to work a carpenter's chisel? I feel dumb for not knowing, but I can't quite work it. Love the mod so far, though!

The chisel only works on carpenters blocks, thus place a carpenters block, slope or whatever as long as it is a carpenters brand. From there cover it with what ever cover you wanted it to appear as. next take the chisel and right click it. boom problem solved.

I've seen a few requests for bed's to extend into bunk beds when stacked but I didn't find a direct answer about it and I was wondering if it is something that is actually planned?

Currently it is not part of the planned changes. I know there are a few more things that mineshopper is trying to "fix" or "make better" once he is done with that he can start looking into adding more features/items to the mod.

I'm sorry but I rather have a direct download link, one I can go 'save as' and plop where I need.
Not something where after adfly, I have to browse into a folder, click the file, and be forced to open or save into a default download folder that I then have to nav to, locate the file amung the rest, cut it, then paste it into the mods folder.

To be honest even though you broke it down step by step it is at most a 1-2 minute process and that is only if you have extremely slow internet. I think there are more important things to worry about such as new features and bugs then making the process a one click system.
