I run MultiMC with JVM 8 on an Acer Aspire running 64-bit Ubuntu (v14.04).
So roughly eight months ago, I started curating modpacks for myself and a few of my buddies, and about a month and a half ago, my computer started losing worlds. It didn't matter if they were from vanilla, or any of my modpacks or anything else. Worlds started dropping like flies, and to make matters worse, I still have about 95% of the save data for each of the worlds I lost, but they won't show up in my SP world list. I've tried reverting to a previous version of the world by copypasting my backup data of the world into the instance folder, but I had no luck with that.
What I need from you, the community is to look at my error log and see if I've missed anything that may help me. I would like to be able to fix this problem without wiping and reloading this computer, but it seems that this is my only option at this point.
As it turns out this is potentially a much worse problem than I first expected. Tried out a different modpack from a friend of mine who runs a server with it. No one else has reported my problem as yet, so I'm going to assume that it is my computer's fault, not NEI's. Unfortunately, this likely means that I've got some save file corruption going on.
In any case, I'm marking this thread resolved so that is may be locked and preserved for future use.
I would recommend about 1-2 GB below the amount you have installed unless it would go above 32 GB. (If you are running a 64-bit OS, don't go above 64GB.)
Also, if you are running into low RAM issues, I would recommend taking Thaumcraft out. That mod is a black hole for RAM.
I want to keep NEI, but my games keep becoming unavailable because minecraft can't find the NEI files for my worlds! I don't have any idea what's going on, so here's a list of the mods I'm using and other relevant data.

TL;DR: I messed with a bunch of config files, and ended up with VERY non-standard worldgen. Need help identifying which setting caused it, so I can fix the issue. Mod list posted below.
I have a small-ish modpack of around 45 mods, and I've been messing around with pretty much every config option there is to modify in the pack, and when I went to make a new Biomes O'Plenty world, all block near spawn had been replaced with a mixture of End Stone, Soul Sand, and Netherrack trees with lava source blocks for 'leaves'. Can someone tell me what I did so that I can fix it? I mean this was intriguing for the first five minutes, but now I just want to go back to normal worldgen. I will be posting my full list of mods below.
Potentially suspect mods:
BiomesOPlenty v2.1.0.1067
Mekanism v7.1.0.92
ExtraUtilities v1.2.0
Thermal(Foundation, Expansion, and Dynamics) Version: Lates
CodeChickenLib v1.1.1.99-universal
InventoryPets v1.4.3
Tinker's Construct v1.8.8
OpenBlocks v1.5
ATG v0.12.0 (though unused for any world after configs were changed.)
All other mods in the pack:
Backpack v2.0.1
Baubles v1.0.1.8
Flesh2Lether (Unknown Version)
InfiniBows v1.3.0.20
Mantle v0.3.2
VoxelMap v1.5.20
NEI v1.0.4.79
Not Enough Keys v3.0.0b45dev
Rope Bridge v1.3
Secret Rooms Mod v4.7.1.406
VeinMiner v0.31.4
Warpbook v1.0.36
WorldEdit (w/CUI) v6.0-beta-01
And some other various coremods that I didn't mess with.
I think that it is some kind of mod that making this error
That was helpful. /s
Anyway, the issue was resolved, I just had to sleep before coming on and marking this thread solved.
(re)EDIT: I realized after double checking my posted error log that this is actually the right thread. Derp The previously removed message is as follows:
In case someone else has this problem, I checked my forge.cfg settings, and I realized that I had spawn fuzz enabled, but set to 0. (anything less than 1 is going to throw this error) After disabling spawn fuzz, the error did not show up again.
I recently started a fresh copy of Minecraft via MultiMC. To that, I added each individual mod from a modpack I had used previously, as well as the config folder from my most recent instance of said modpack From there, FML was able to load all my mods, and show the title screen, but when I went to start a world, this error popped up:

Figured out my issue on my own, I derped. Thread is now resolved.

This may be an odd request, but an I get a stable version of OP's modpack? I would like to see it if it isn't too large for my laptop.

This particular issue is still ongoing.Sorry for any confusion that may previously been caused by the order of my threads within the index itself.

Thanks, I had a feeling it was something dumb like that. Still working out the bugs in my pack, but I will create a separate thread for that.
New log dump can be found [here]
I officialy declare this thread resolved. Someone should probably lock it.
