posted a message on When You Used to be a Noob...

I'm not sure if this is the correct place for this kind of thread but eh I think this is a good location.

Do you remember the good old days when you were a noob? I certainly do. I remember when I first started MC and people were hyped about diamonds. I was curious about the new ore's appearance and I decided to google it. But I ended up seeing the image of a diamond BLOCK, not the diamond ore. So I was just casually building an underground house in MC when a one block wide one block tall patch of water came into my house while I wasn't noticing. My computer's graphics were bad back then, and I thought it was a diamond ore. I got super excited and swinged my pickaxe at it for about 2 minutes but I still believed it was the ore since I thought stronger equipments are from hard blocks. (Because stone equipments are stronger than wood ones and stone is harder to mine than wood) I evantually gave up. After a few months, I realized that I was an idiot.

What's your funny embarrassing moments you would like to share when u were a noob?

posted a message on Mithey's Chunk Restore?

Honestly, Mithey has been my favorite map creator since Terra Restore and he truly made some amazing maps. But if someone asks me what my favorite is, it has to be Chunk Restore. Beautiful scenery. The system where you can stray away from your current quest but it isn't mandatory. Clever and creative boss fights, mob waves and puzzles. Compelling storyline. It had to be the most fun maps I've ever, and I mean EVER played in my entire life. Maps like Unseen Forces III, The Heist, Terra Swoop Force etc was great, but I didn't have that much fun. The second version for this map has been released and I'm waiting for the third but some people said that the map was discontinued. Is it really? I really hope not. Also, is there a map like this? Terra Restore 2 was cool, but something wasn't as amazing as Chunk Restore. What is it? Scenery? Gameplay? I have no idea. I felt like something was missing. Chicken's Courage was a bit annoying.

posted a message on Best Questing Adventure Modpack?

What I'm looking for is a modpack that has an in-game document that's pretty easy to understand, packed with adventure mods, but also has magic mods and tech mods. So basically what I'm looking for is a kitchen sink modpack, but with a little more adventure. Also, a modpack that's fitting for 6GB or RAM (I have 8 GB of RAM so I allocated 6GB to Minecraft and Twitch.). The modpack must be version 1.7.10 ~ 1.12.2.

Adventure mods that I like: Twilight Forest, Abyssalcraft, Aether II, The Betweenlands etc.

Magic mods that I like: Thaumcraft, Witchery, Ars Magica 2, Blood Magic etc.

Tech mods that I like: Thermal Expansion Series, Minefactory Reloaded, Openblocks, Extra Utilties etc.

posted a message on How do you make stuff actually look like stuff?

So, I'm creating a modpack. But I noticed that almost every single good modpacks have a custom main menu or something. So I was like, "Why not make a custom main menu myself?" But the problem is, A. My drawing skills with the mouse is really amazing (Sarcasm self test complete!), and I don't have that pen that draws stuff on computers, whatever that thing is called, and B. I have no idea what program I should use to draw these amazing pics. Modpacks like FTB Infinity Evolved, FTB presents Direwolf20, Sevtech Ages and others have a custom main menu, and, if not the whole thing, at least the custom TITLE that says the modpack's name or simply Minecraft. I can take a nice looking screenshot of a custom world that looks creepy (because my modpack's lore is about the taint biome added by Thaumcraft)for the background, but i really have no choice for the title but to DRAW. So, how do you draw these titles? Keep in mind I don't know how to use photoshop. Is there a simple solution to build these amazing looking title things? Also, I am about 80% sure that this is the wrong section, but I literally don't see any other section to post this kind of thing. Since this is sorta related to minecraft, it's not off-topic.\

    Please help.

    Better remove that mod.

Then Minecraft would be vanilla. Funny thing is, the first time I tried this mod, it worked fine. After like a month, this happens. Keep in mind that I only have this mod installed.

posted a message on What is this Error?

Every time I load a new world and start to explore, after a while, minecraft would randomly shut down (shutting down internal server) without a crash report. SO I read the incredibly long log file, and this error was present. (Also there was something about missing textures and an enchantment ID conflict, but when I removed the two conflicting mods, it still kicked me out. The missing textures? I don't know.)

[15:16:25] [Server thread/ERROR]: [DCNotifier] [ERROR] [DummyCoreLoader] C:\Users\IWouldNotShowThisToYou\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\saves\RandomSeed\DummyData\PlayerData\oOShadowbonnieOo.ddat appears to be damaged, either fix it or delete it!
[15:16:25] [Server thread/ERROR]: [DCNotifier] [ERROR] [DummyCoreLoader] Loading errors were detected at state SERVER_STARTED!
[15:16:25] [Server thread/ERROR]: [DCNotifier] [ERROR] [DummyCoreLoader] The class that has thrown the error: class DummyCore.Utils.DummyDataUtils

This error message was present no matter what world I loaded, even when I created a new world.

I know that it wasn't DummyCore because what it does is it will print out any errors Minecraft has in the log file and crash reports.

The missing textures? There were like a hundred missing textures but I doubt that that was it.

[15:15:19] [Client thread/ERROR]: Error generating texturediamond_ore. Unable to find base texture with same size.

This is the modpack I'm using and I'm the creator.

posted a message on We Need a Better ID Fixer!

Seriously, Anti ID Conflict may be a life saver, but it's not automatic (Try putting AOA and Biomes O Plenty in the mods folder, and run Minecraft. Biome ID conflicts everywhere!) and there are some biome ids that does not show in the config file. How annoying! I have no idea how to reach those. So there should be an ID Fixer mod that's automatic. For 1.7.10 and 1.12.2. All of the sweet looking ones I found on google were for 1.6.4 and 1.5.7. Versions I've never even touched before. (I've been playing Minecraft Java Version for like five or four years (Exactly when Minecraft 1.9 came out. The day I bought Minecraft, 1.9 came out. :3)) Also, this is the versions I use when I play modded Minecraft. (1.7.10 > 1.12.2 > 1.8 = 1.8.9 > 1.6.4 >>>>>> 1.10.2) So we need this. Whatever it is. A program. A mod. I don't care. We need this thing immediately. (Also Mojang, 1.12.2 mods compatible for 1.7.10 and 1.7.10 mods compatible for 1.12.2 when?)

posted a message on Umm... Just Wondering.. Does Biome Mods Reduce the Chance of Custom Dungeons Spawning?

I am kind of curious now. Does mods like Biomes O Plenty reduce the chance of custom dungeons, like the ones from Recurrent Complex and The Chocolate Quest from Spawning? I would normally like it if there were dungeons littered everywhere throughout the world because I am probably one of the laziest person when it comes to exploring. :3 (That is why I do not like the Biome Bundle Mod)

posted a message on Any good custom map/modpack for learning Blood Magic and some Tech mods?

Amazing! Thank you for complementing my mod pack I really appreciate it. XD So do I have to find a quest mod pack for blood magic and the other tech mods? Setting up a single player world never works tho seeing as I do not know anything. The problem is, these quest mod packs aren't focused on just one mod. That is the one problem. :P

posted a message on 1.12.2 vs 1.7.10: Which is better?

For people with PC that has a potato like smell to it, (Which means it probably sucks) I strongly recommend 1.7.10. I can not handle over 60 mods in 1.12.2, but in 1.7.10, over 'bout 120 mods is the limit.

posted a message on Any good custom map/modpack for learning Blood Magic and some Tech mods?

See, I made a new 1.7.10 modpack (1.7.10 because I am a big nostalgist when it comes to mods XD), and I included Blood Magic, Thaumcraft, WItchery, Openblocks, Thermal Expansion Series, Tinker's Construct and Minefactory Reloaded. I finally matured from wanting to play PopularMMOs style adventure modpacks all day long! LOL I realized those modpacks were pretty pointless. I wanted to play a high quality adventure modpack with no boredom. But the problem is, I have no idea how to use some of the mods here and for Thaumcraft, I can not progress any further as soon as I craft the weird goggle thingy. And no, I will not spend my precious time on watching tutorials. Tutorial videos, for some reason, is pretty boring to me (That is the whole reason why I like PopularMMOs. He makes an obstacle course.). Direwolf20 is pretty good, sure, but not enough. So I want to play a custom map/modpack to learn those mods. Witchery and Thaumcraft, teagan75 has modpacks for those. But blood magic and the tech mods, no. So is there any modpack/map for the mods I want to learn? Keep in mind I want to learn these as soon as possible.

Also, if you have time, please tell me, is this a good modpack? What mods do I need to remove or add? I am very inexperienced. Also I only have 8 GB of RAM and a pretty bad GPU (Intel UHD Graphics 630). (This is a private modpack so don't ask me if I got permission or not!)

Blood Magic (Suits the theme of this modpack and looks very fun)

ChocoCraft (I couldn't help it! Hexxit has this mod and the chocobos were adorable!)

CosmeticArmorReworked (The armor in Witchery was too awesome to not wear.)

Divine RPG (Remember when I said I like adventure modpacks? But not AOA because there's too many dimensions and I hate searching around just to find a structure.)

    Electroblob's Wizardy (Looked fancy.)

Equivalent Exchange (I love high quality mods!)

EvilCraft (Same reason as Blood Magic.)

    Fastcraft (LAAG)

Killer Pacman (I got the mods from CrazyCraft because I was too lazy, and then I saw this mod. I was like "You know what? Why not just add a funny pacman guy?")

Minefactory Reloaded (Never built an automatic farm/mob grinder before so I figured it would be pretty fun.)

Necromancy (Same reason as Blood Magic.)

    NEI (Must have mod.)

    Openblocks (Looked pretty fun.)

Tinker's Construct (People recommended it, and I like the idea of crafting a unique tool/weapon like a real weapon/toolsmith.)

Thaumcraft (People were like "Thaumcraft is one of the best magic mods of all time." so I decided to add it. That taint biome tho... I would not like that biome to spread!)

The Betweenlands (Adventure! RPG! High quality!)

Thermal Expansion Series (People told me it was one of the best tech mods out there.)

    Tinker's Defense (More TConstruct!)

Transformers Mod (PopularMMOs reviewed it, and it was hilarious and also high quality. Secondly, it was also in the CrazyCraft modpack.)

Witchery (Of course, the heart of this modpack. Complex and high quality magic, amazing RPG style gameplay.)

Lord of the Rings (The best RPG mod I could find.)

Floating Ruins (Normal ruins mod crashes...)

    Adventure Backpack (Better backpack mod?)

Animal Bikes (Hilarious and useful mod...)

    Animated Players (High quality? Probably.)

Aquaculture (I put this mod in this modpack mainly because of Minefactory Reloaded.)

Arcana RPG (MORE! I NEED MORE RPG!)

    Baby Animals (Eww...)

Balkon's Weapons (Cool weapons and also the training dummy!)

    Battle Towers (More dungeons!)

BibiloCraft (This mod turned out to be amazing the last time I used it.)

Buffed Tools (I love Terraria!! ...Sorry.)

Chance Cubes (I wanted this mod in the modpack when I saw this mod in Foolcraft.)

    Chisel (Required.)

The Chocolate Quest (This was one of the best dungeon mod I could find for this version.)

    DecoCraft (More decorations!)

    Dynamic Surroundings (High quality!)

Enchanting Plus (This is so that I don't stress out too much when I enchant my gear.)

Familiars (The Rana and the Companion Cube Familiar was too useful to not include in this pack.)

    FastLeafDecay (Another must have mod...)

Gravity Gun (To move out some of the annoying blocks out of my way when exploring.)

Hats (I hate headcrumbs so this... My inventory space needs to be as empty as possible!)

Iron Chest (Must have for me. I always run out of room to store stuff.)

JourneyMap (Amazing and fancy minimap mod!)

Lucky Block (Hmm.. A must have to have fun...)

Malisis Doors (PopularMMOs said that his favorite mod in Challenge Pack Resurrection is the door mod. XD)

    Battlegear (Duel wielding is awesome!)

Mob Amputation (Awesomeness and to kill pesky undead mobs more quickly)

    Mob Dismemberment (Awesomeness)

Morph (The bat morph to travel around although I feel like I will get destroyed because I only have 3 hearts... and... awesomeness as always XD)

MrCrayfish's Furnitures Mod (Is this the only mod with functional furnitures?)

    Mutant Creatures (Just for fun.)

    Optifine (A must have!)

    Pam's Harvestcraft (More food!)

Pandora's Box (Pretty fun but it can totally ruin your world.)

Portal Guns (Just because its pretty cool.)

Dubstep Guns (Fun! Obviously and very addicting according to Pat.)

Special Mobs (I prefer this mod over Infernal Mobs because I would hate to fight an already boss mob that's rare.

Happened to Pat on Custom Mod Challenge. The Mobzilla he was fighting was rare and took forever to kill.)

Tech Guns (Extremely High Quality! Although the zombies armed with guns are pretty annoying.)

Trail Mix (I was searching up every single iChun mods I could use and my god this modpack is starting to look similar to CrazyCraft. Thank goodness I decided to not include Orespawn. Anyways, a really humorous mod.)

Twilight Forest (Must have for a fun RPG experience.)

UndergroundBIomesConstruct (After like 5 years of Minecraft, I started to get sick of stone.)

WAILA, WAWLA, and WAILA Harvestability (An almost must have.)

Damage Indicators (I just like the massive GUI for the mob's health.)
