As with most aspects of this mod, there will be an option in the config file to disable that.

I'd have to look at how they make their animals wild. If they're brand new mobs, I should be able to make a compatibility plugin without too much trouble. If they replaced all the AI functions in a way I didn't expect, it may take a bit more work. That said, I'll be looking into this after the upcoming update. I don't want to side track development too far for cross-mod support.

I'm honestly a little hesitant to get mobs to actually look at the blocks around them. Even just looking at a radius of 3 blocks out, that means that each mob has to consider 5^3=125 blocks. However, I may be able to get herds to tend away from lava pools, and areas full of cacti since there's a lot fewer herds than there are mobs.

The wild animals in Improving Minecraft are brand new mobs that replace naturally spawning mobs and are set to give the domesticated versions after x generations of breeding.

I'm requesting a inventory mod that adds a skyrim like inventory. I think it could get really popular. if you make a mod like that please add link in the comments!

I'm not the first to make a thread about this but I commented on the other one and i got warned about necro-commenting
or something like that so yeah...

What, exactly, do you mean by "Skyrim-like inventory"?

JABBA has an item that will allow you to pick up and move spawners without losing their NBT data. Improving Minecraft allows you to use a pickaxe with Silk Touch with the same results. There's also a couple of mods that allow you to create your own spawners from scratch.

There's already a number of mods that make additions to both water and sky (as well as other areas). Oceancraft, Aquatic Abyss (not yet up to 1.7.10), Mo Creatures, Lycanite's Mobs, Butterfly Mania, and more.

So I saw a mod review for this mod, and decided to try it out, since other instant structure mods have disappointed me. I used the directions on http://www.mrcrayfish.com/construction.php and after downloading 1.7.2 Forge and 1.7.2 Construction Mod.

Then I downloaded both of the Building Packs and followed the instructions on how to get them into Minecraft.

Later, I got onto Minecraft to try the mod out. However, when I placed down a Planning Table, the buildings I put in the Building Folder didn't show up. I don't know what I'm doing wrong! Can someone help me please? Thanks.

There are no 1.7.2 building packs, and Mr Crayfish has said the 1.6.4 ones are incompatible. You'll have to create your own blueprints.

Please add a config option to disable minebay!!! MFR wood farm = 120+ diamonds a day.

He's already adding options for configuring MineBay. It wouldn't surprise me if these additions include the ability to completely remove it. Or you could go the simpler route and simply not sell your stuff on MineBay.

In other news: Is there a way to make villager gardens spawn with biome-appropriate crops instead of the ones they normally have? I would really like to see this. Not sure what desert villages ought to farm besides peppers... also, would be ideal if this was based on those biome definitions so it works even with mod biomes and mods that let villages spawn in more biomes than they usually spawn in.

Oh, and Mushroom Island villages growing nothing but mushrooms, perhaps with the gardens underground somehow.

Found out the other day that Minecraft's code for crops ensures faster growth if crop rows are not next to the same crop. In other words, the current crop formation is designed to be slow, but if you take out one row and replace it with something else, both crops will grow faster.

ETA: Are any of your items in NBT sets (like wool or hardened clay), and if so, is the information around somewhere? Because in going through this Hardcore Quest Mod it's becoming apparent that it would be incredibly useful to be able to say "Any Tropical Fruit" or "Any Grain (including Wheat)" or "Any Seed" or "Any Burger" or "Any Smoothie" or "Any Juice" or "Any Soda" or "Any Ice Cream" or any of the many other sets I could add to that list. And they've got it all set up for ignoring NBT data (so "Any Wool" works), but not yet for choosing any of several types of item (so until they work that in, there's no easy way to say it's okay to give the quest guy any kind of dessert).

Man, I can see so many possibilities with this mod. I have just begun to explore the possibilities, and getting down the mechanics has been tough due to a total lack of written documentation (I have to resort to slow and wordy videos), and it's taken a long time so far, but it's going to be so awesome when I get a full quest line set up, including the title of Master Chef if you cook up a ton of HC food.

I don't know about NBT data, but many (if not all) of her items are listed under the Forge Ore Dictionary. So raw squid can be used in place of raw fish, for example, and unless the recipe is specific, zuchinni can be used in place of "vegetable" carrot. I believe her juices and jellies are registered under "list all juice/jelly" as well. I could've sworn HQM had a setting to include "Ore Dictionary" settings, as well as NBT. Only thing is, I'd probably have to use NEI to double check the Ore Dictionary settings.

every time i load this mod my game crashes

    this is the crash report

    -- System Details --

    Details:

    Minecraft Version: 1.7.10

IMSM{100.0.2} [IMSM] ([1.7.2] Instant Massive Structures Mod by SimJoo.jar) Unloaded->Constructed

    DamageIndicatorsMod{3.1.1} [Damage Indicators] ([1.7.2]DamageIndicatorsMod-3.1.1.jar) Unloaded->Constructed

    ccm{1.0.1} [MrCrayfish's Construction Mod] ([Forge]MrCrayfishConstructionModv1.0.5 (1.6.4).zip) Unloaded

    cfm{3.3.5} [§6MrCrayfish's Furniture Mod] (MrCrayfishFurnitureModv3.3.5(1.7.2).jar) Unloaded

TwilightForest{2.0.3} [The Twilight Forest] (twilightforest-1.7.2-2.0.3.jar) Unloaded

You're using Crayfish's construction mod for 1.6.4 in a 1.7.10 game. Either remove it or install the correct version. You're also using his furniture mod for 1.7.2 in a 1.7.10 game and Twilight Forest for 1.7.2, as well. Looks like Damage Indicators is also the wrong version. Update to the 1.7.10 version of that, too. You may also need to update Instant Structures, not sure if that one has a newer version, or not.

It's important to make sure the mods you're using are for the version of Minecraft you're using. Having the wrong version can prevent your game from loading. Also, it helps to keep clutter out of the forums if you put crash logs into spoiler tags. Its the red exclaimation mark above where you type.

I'm glad a friend recommended that I look at this mod. I just downloaded it. There are so many things to love here, that appeal to the same playstyle that prompted me to propose Roughin' It.

The only thing, so far, that I didn't really like was using milk to make slime. It seems like there should be a better way to make slime, though I haven't put enough thought into it to know what that might be. Also, cows are pretty rare on Vechs maps, at least early-game, and I'd like to be able to get slime balls earlier than that (not a problem in the slime-overloaded Canopy Carnage, but more of a problem in places like Infernal Skies or Legendary).

If you get silkworms started on a tree in a forest, how fast does it spread? I don't want to see it take over entire forests but it should at least spread to nearby trees (maybe foliage that is 1 or even 2 blocks away). If I put this on a custom map I would probably create little infestations here and there, carefully separated from the surrounding trees.

My willing suspension of disbelief wonders at any man-made fire (especially in a low-tech timeline) being able to create magma/lava, but it's only a twinge, not a full-blown immersion break. So I will choose not to be bothered by it.

Silkworms only spread to adjacent leaf blocks. (Already tested this.) So trees separated by even one block of air (or anything) are safe. As for the speed of the spread, it usually takes 1 silk worm about 1 day to take over 1 tree. More silk worms can take it over in less time. The spread seems to be constant, albeit accumulative. The main thing to remember is that infested leaves don't drop saplings, only silkworms and string.

One could argue that the manmade fire causes a feedback effect, where the small amount of rock over the flame heats to liquid, which in turn melts the rest of the rock in the crucible.

You may want to consider trying Biomes O Plenty, Natura, Harvestcraft, or Growthcraft if you're having trouble finding food in Minecraft. Harvestcraft and Growthcraft both have fruit-specific trees that can be harvested multiple times without killing the trees. So does Biomes O Plenty, come to think of it. Natura introduces berry bushes around the world.

Try Improving Minecraft, though it could be imbalanced if you have infinate ammo applied to your bow (as you should when fighting the Ender Dragon.)
