Seems good, Though I have block ID conflicts. I know how to change them manually, If only I had a config to do it. The mod it's conflicting with is Red power, Though it's not quite because all my ID's are moved around anyway due to having a whopping 57 mods installed <.< (What can I say, I'm a mod-a-holic) I would simply change redpower ID's but I have a Let's Play world going that requires the ID's for my other mods stay the same.. So when you release a config file version, I'll be all over this mod. It's really neat looking.
Alright, So I've been using this mod for a few days flawlessly.. However, Just now, As I was building a castle and making it look cool with carved stone bricks with lava.. When I made a hole in the ceiling and placed a 'Lava Source' block.. (Not the bucket, Or the still lava block) on the side of a carved block.. It now crashes me out of the game.

Error report complete.
Here's my guess as to what went wrong:
Minecraft had an infinite loop. If you were not testing a mod...god help you.
That's what MinecraftError has to say.. :< 'God help you.' That doesn't sound ... Reassuring.
Edit: Fixed it by loading the world without the mod, Then reloading with, Then replicated the error.. Accidentally.. Again. So it shouldn't be hard to replicate.. Just have a floating source block on the side of a carved stone. (Tried to make a lavafall with runes of lava twisting from the landing pool.)
Just checking back here to give everyone a heads up who may of had non-error crashing with this mod using Windows Vista..
My DEP (Data Execution Prevention) was stopping it. It closed minecraft giving me a windows error and wouldn't tell me why. I found the solution by actually trying to install screensaver and it did the same exact thing. When I fixed the screensaver, It fixed minecraft, AND this mod. (Use google to learn how to turn off Data Execution Prevention.) Also another error that SEEMED to stem from this mod was I would occasionally get a missing arm (Or messed up textures) and that was caused by Optifine Multi-thread, Just use standard and it fixes that as well. Not sure if it was this mods fault, But the error logs I posted a week or more ago were resolved with these methods.
The ironbark didnt actually assign itself to the config file(thats what caused those problems with fixing ids before), but it now follows the config file. so that means the id changed but it can be rechanged
great a big lag bug. you bet its a new one(these things have a habbit of coming up for no aparent reason)
does this look like it works on a server? do you see any smp sign or server download?
Ah I see, Thanks for the heads-up about the config fix.
Also, No big deal on the lag bug, Just wanted to ensure you knew about it. Keep up the awesome work, But make sure you don't overwork yourself too.
It's cool, Thanks for the effort. Further reading online and on Java help forums on this particular error seems to be caused by windows in general not allowing writes to the cache due to UAC.. And they recommend to temporarily remove UAC to fix it.. Problem is.. I've never used UAC, So it isn't my issue.. Other then that I can't seem to find any solution and it only does it with Thaumcraft installed, And does it in either case despite switching from x64 java to 32 bit.. So it's not a java .dll error, Nor an access rules violation.. I just hope someone has seen this error and can point me in a direction soon. Meh.
i think you are having problems with matmos. move the matmos file out of the mods folder and try again
EDIT: first time i have seen the "a space odyssey" title
Just tried that literally right now, 5 miniutes of game time later.. Same exact error.
Geez, hopefully he changes the ID back. That'd really screw up my world.
I agree. xD I had to rebuild half my house since I framed it with ironbark logs. The leaves and planks stayed the same, So It was a walled house with no wallframes. It was interesting to see, But it's already fixed now on my world. Though.. I'll have to do it /again/ if the ID changes back.
Well I seem to get a bit of lag compared to the last release. Also, Ironwood logs were ID moved. xD (Or at least my game moved them.) Not sure what's up with the lag.. (It's not as bad as the hound AI incident, But it's dropped my frames from 40 (What I've got it capped at) to about 15-20.
Hm.. Interesting. I'll see about running a fresh install on a separate computer (Eliminates user mistakes) And check back, To see if I just messed something up and didn't get rid of optifine.
Alright so that failed. My other computer isn't powerful enough to run thaumcraft. So.. Back to square 1 and debugging my system without a control experiment result.. Joy.
Hmm, 2.1.6d is giving me worst fps ever, 2 fps, only a tenth left from earlier 2.1.6c :-(
I'll investigate further to see if it's really TC2 (but I think so, only mod I've changed).
Regarding those missing geometry, ran into such an issue only with smooth version of OptiFine (cows with 3 legs and lots of chicken wings but no chickens xDDD), MT and standard worked just fine (besides those random crashes with MT from time to time )
Hm.. Interesting. I'll see about running a fresh install on a separate computer (Eliminates user mistakes) And check back, To see if I just messed something up and didn't get rid of optifine.
I am using it (Optifine MT), However I tried it without it also and it does the same thing.
And example is.. The torso of animals seem to just.. Not load. I saw a pig walking around and only saw his legs and head, For instance. It seems not to be an overheating issue either as I just forced my GPU to run at 50% capacity (To see if it was just overheating.. Though It's only ever done that when I tried to run AMCO and GLSL at the same time..) And it still crashes it after about 5-10 minutes of game-play.
Figured I'd let you know an issue I was having along the lines of out of memory. The mods I'm using are
Mo' Creatures
MineFantasy
Battlegear
MATmos
Sound Pack enabler
and Thaumcraft
When playing it works fine for a few miniutes then some geometry (Mostly in monsters) starts dissapearing, Slowly deteriorating untill it crashes my display driver. (Drivers are up to date to the current stable versions, As well as java up and running at the latest x64 update as I have vistax64)
It only seems to do this after I add thaumcraft. I havn't tried it without the other mods, But none of these mods seem to conflict (Though I had to change a block ID in Battlegear, It's nothing to do with thaumcraft.) Not sure if it's anything you wanted to hear about, But I don't have an error log. It simply flashes my screen black and a windows error comes up saying my display driver was temporarily disconnected but recovered (But minecraft itself never recovers, It just stays a black screen and I have to Task Manager it closed.)
As a final note, Even when I run an error log .bat file to get an error report.. Nothing special happens, All scripts are stopped and no error is reported. So I can't post one. Just thought I'd post to let you know I'm getting an error like this, Not sure if anyone else does, But it does seem thaumcraft related.
So you basically only have two content mods. Unless you screwed up something in the installation process, yeah, you're a loony!
But just in case, keep your eyes on your mutts.
Yeah, I have been.. So far nothing. I'm passing it off as I'm a loony or it was a fluke. In any case, I noticed something weird. The ironbark trees.. The breaking noise is that of stone. The leaves too. Not sure if that was intentional. (Made an entire house out of ironbark log & planks. But cutting them down let me realize this oddity.) Still loving forging my own equipment, Also got this to work with battlegear as of this morning. Finally my modded Minecraft dream is complete. Dual wielding forged steel.. Mmm.. Death to the creepers!

Can't fix it? XD That's no good. No idea what caused it, Or just a laggy bit of implimentation, If I may ask?
