posted a message on EULA Revisited: an Updated Q&A From Mojang
Personally, I think this is a great move by Mojang (if enforced), while it certainly will affect large server operators, I feel in the end it will be beneficial. Think about it this way: not only will the playing field be leveled, but eventually the truly great servers will begin to be successful. Why does one (typically) donate right now? To be provided with some kind of privilege over other users. With this new system, people will want to donate not to be able to fly around, but to see an enjoyable server continue (or they just really like colored names). For all you people thinking servers will charge outrageous prices, think about it from a business standpoint: Would you want to play on a server that charges $50? No? Then that server probably won't stay up very long.

Yes I understand, perhaps the number of donations will decrease, and some servers might not be able to make it. But do you honestly think this will ruin Minecraft? If you don't want to see your favorite server die, why don't you donate? Like I said, the servers people truly want to play on will succeed, while exploitative servers may not.

Guys, you do know what a donation means, right? Getting something in return is not a donation.

I totally agree. A donation is a person willing to give money. When one "donates" to receive a benefit, that's called a purchase...

I really wish animals were not chunk specific, running around searching for specific mobs is really a killer for me. Now, it would be more pleasant if there was the old generation code...

posted a message on Adventure Mode Configurations
I think a great idea to be implemented into the recent addition, "Adventure Mode", would be the ability to configure blocks that are breakable. This would be ideal for "secret" chests hidden throughout the maps. A mapmaker (You could kind of call them cartographers!) would simply go down a checklist of blocks that would say Breakable: Yes or No.

that's why I'm saying it is a category in itself, i for one won't lie i voted in it, just i know many people who play, and they refuse to be associated with people of those ages :/ sadly maturity=/=age

I hope you are not implying ALL 13 year olds are immature.

Edit: @Krova You aren't a hermaphrodite are you....?

posted a message on You want to read this!
    First statement: Thank you.
Second statement: I love minecraft and, although I am not a game developer, I understand it is challenging to make a game. Especially turning something, such as blocks, into such a beautifully made piece of art.
Third thing: I do think that some of the community members aren't the nicest/smartest of people, but I also think some people are just judging by what they read in the forums. Its like a bridge made out of cotton candy with liquorice supports. Gullible people supporting a troll's opinion.

Ahh...I remember my friend showed it to me. Months later, in 1.3, I bought it, I mined, died, mined, and built a castle. I wish I could have experienced the simplicity and magic of alpha. (also the maturity of the people)

Strong language...Any ways, I really won't care if "TEH END3RM4N R SCRY". I agree, I think most people should; cry me a river (included in 1.8!), build me a bridge, (manual labour required) and get the heck over it.

posted a message on Why do people want to rule the towns?
I am hoping that the NPC's can't teleport, because I'm going to put obsidian around their houses and build a wall around their village. Then I shall take all their crops and valuables and block off any means of getting into the streets. Then I shall continue to the next village. Either that or trap them in holes.
