Has anyone noticed the lack of a Y ceiling? Last I recall, you couldn't go above 256.....
Ok, still can only build up to 255. But odd I can fly higher. Oh well.

This is great news, but I don't see why we can't just update our mods as we used to. But I guess it is easier to install mods like texturepacks.
The problem with the current implimentation is lack of support by the vanilla product. SO everyone releases loaders like modloader, bukkit, forge, etc, to allow mods to be used in the game. With some vanilla support, there may be no need to use things like modloader, but who knows.
One thing is for sure, the change will break every mod like 1.0.0 did to all the pre-launch mods. - To post a comment, please login.

No, you are right. I didn't see that one. Thanks! I am trying to take a map from a pnp game and put it into MC.
Bummer thing is, even at home with 4gigs set for the app, I can't generate a large enough map to paint.

It would be nice if you could select a height level to start applying small adjustments too. This would allow people to make floating islands more easilly. Maybe have a checkbox for the option and a slider set at the default 63 and allow the user to raise/lower from there? Still have the raise and lower brush tools because after laying down some floating terrain, you could use the broader tool to make adjustments.
