Hey guys! I recently learned how to create a 100% custom language pack, and I wanted to share it with the public.
Please leave feedback. If you have negative feedback, please tell me exactly what went wrong. Something like "you suck" doesn't help me, so be constructive.
If you don't want to watch it on the embedded player, the video is at:
Big thanks to anyone who watches this, and anyone who supports me!
NOTE: If you already have a custom language pack downloaded, make sure your langauages.txt includes that one AND the one you create. If a language goes missing when its not supposed to, your game may crash when trying to start it.
NOTE 2.0: If you play Minecraft with a custom language, then turn off the game, and then change the .jar file, Minecraft will look for your language when you start it back up. If the new .jar file does not have the language, Minecraft will freak out and crash.
To avoid this, any time you are going to change the .jar file, or any time Minecraft gets an update, switch your language back to a default one, then turn off the game. This way, when the game turns on, it will have no problem finding the "last-used" language pack.
I hope that ^ all made sense.

I don't mean to be "that guy".. but sadly I am. What both of you are thinking of is in fact Middle English (knights, Shakespear, etc.) Old English is much different and is very hard to understand for a modern speaker. - To post a comment, please login.

I am having a bit of an error with a Feed the Beast Server I play on. About ~80% of the time I try to connect I get "Internal Excpetion: java.net.SocketException: Connection Reset". Generally I get on for 5 sec. before getting the error. Other times its a minute...or not at all. I have ready many threads on fixing this and have tried MANY things on my end, but I eventually realized that it must be a server side error.
I tried having the host delete my player.dat file, but that did not help. A few other members also had the same issue, but it seems like I am the only one that still has this problem.
Here's a short list of fixes I've tried:
-Re-installed FTB (on two different comps, many times) (also deleted files in %appdata%)
-Re-installed Java (on two different comps) (also deleted files in %appdata%)
-Restarted my modem/router (multiple times)
-Brought my laptop to someone else's house and used their internet
-Turned off my firewall (on two different comps)
-Had the admin delete my player.dat file
-Allocated more memory (6Gb on one comp, and 15Gb on the other)
-Set java to high priority in task manager
-Screamed at my computer (helped me feel better)
-A few other misc. "tricks" people suggested
If anyone has any suggestions please let me know
