Figured I'd say a bit about myself here, as it relates to minecraft. I like building unusual/abstract structures, I'm a generally chill and carefree guy. I like the idea of PvP in most games, but I've never done it in minecraft. FIgured this'd be a good place to start, 'cause...c'mon man, demons, priests, and lifebars, pretty epic stuff.
That does make some sense, but it's not exactly the best defense either, as it's a suicidal means of defense. It undermines the instinct of survival. So it's sort of irrelevant of what they eat as they die anyway in any situation?
But what if they actually rely on something akin to photosynthesis?
Think of it like poisonous insects. Most animals won't eat (or even approach one) but a couple have to take one for the team before that happens. Just think, how did you respond the first few times you saw a creeper? Running probably factored into it, as well as voiding your bowels. Most of their natural predators would probably respond the same way. :smile.gif:
Hey guys, just got a little question here, why can't I make my texture packs use the right lava, water, fire, and portals? I didn't have this problem before, but ever since about 1.7 on, they haven't been able to patch in. Everything else works fine, and I've tried checking the boxes on in the new MCPatcher, all to no success. I know it's probably a simple question, but it's really frustrating when I can't get my blue lava, and I was hoping you guys could help. :smile.gif:
*edit* Welp, turns out that you can just place the textures in the texture pack folder in .minecraft, and run the HD fix in MCPatcher, then you just open it up in-game and it works flawlessly. Found it by reading the MCPatcher topic lol, but I suppose we could leave this here for anyone else with that problem.
Absolutely beautiful texture pack my friend. I like that it's got a semirealistic look, but the colors are still vibrant enough to fit in the abstract world of minecraft. Also I really liked the HUD changes, and the fact that the wheat's fully grown texture is *very* distinctive. Also, blue nether. You're a champion to mankind bro. That being said, my lava, water, fire, and portal textures don't seem to have changed properly. I'm thinking it's because they're animated, but is there something I have to do to make them change over? I used MCPatcher for the texture pack, if I need to do something else, I will, because those are some of my favorite parts. :smile.gif:
