In general, Curse has been a very descriptive name.
WedTM has apparently been recieving enough money to keep mum about how much they suck, and even advertise one more thing that Curse hasn't

I was thinking you could combine "runes" with tools, weapons, or armor for various effects

There are four base elements and a base catalyst.
The catalyst can be mined, similar in rarity to gold.
The elements are made like this:
[gold] =Catalyst
=Object to be specified later, depends on element.
[gold]
[gold] [gold]
[gold]
With buckets of water for water, charcoal for fire, mushrooms for earth, and glass (IDK-it's clear?) for air.
Or something like that.
This will create an element.
To do further mixing, here is an overview of Greek classical elements:
Water is cold, earth is dry, air is wet, fire is hot.
Opposites are, well, opposite.
In the middle is Aether. I will get to that later.
By combining adjacent elements, you can fuse into advanced elements. Fire and air creates magma, fire and earth is lightning, water and air is bubble, water and earth is mud. Fusion occurs like this:
[gold] =catalyst
=element 1
=element 2
[iron] =air
[iron] [gold] [iron]
[gold]
[iron] [gold] [iron]
To create aether, you must combine all four.
[iron] =an element
[gold] =catalyst
[gold] [iron] [gold]
[iron] [gold] [iron]
[gold] [iron] [gold]
The effects I had in mind (swords, arrows, etc are "weapons", pickaxes, axes, etc are "tools"):
Earth
Armor: Makes it stronger to regular attacks.
Tools: Last longer and break blocks faster.
Weapons: Last longer and do a bit more general damage. If tunneling mobs are ever made, even more extra damage.
Water
Armor: Swim faster and take less fire damage.
Tools: Work faster underwater/swimming, irrigate crops and put out fires swung at. Freezes lava.
Weapons: More damage underwater/swimming, similar effects to tools. If underwater mobs are made, extra damage.
Air
Armor: Run faster, breath a bit longer underwater.
Tools: [This space to be filled]
Weapons: Swing faster, extra damage while falling, jumping.
Fire
Armor: Take no fire damage and 1/2 lava damage.
Tools: Work like flint and steel; this could be a problem or a boon.
Weapons: Set enemies on fire.
Should I keep the advanced elements or just the four and aether?
