In the past there have been times where terrain generated after certain updates would look very different and "bugged" out, like abrupt changes in geography/biomes/etc. I read somewhere this would happen whenever code done to world generation was changed.
Is this still the case? I almost want to stop updating because I don't want to have the landscapes ruined on the server I run, but at the same time i've very excited about the new structures and minerals being added.
Is there any established discussion or findings on this?
it is kinda like that. those people are hosting games from their personal computers or servers. there's a list of minecraft servers you can pick from the same way. its somewhere on the site i think.
Also, that picture of a 7TB file is completely fake, the computer required to run and store that much data would far surpass anything available to the public at this point and someone who knows more about me about data storage proved that in the other thread as well. It'd be nice if someone could provide a link to that other thread, the guy had walked many thousands of blocks and had about 50 pictures of his journey thus far. Can anyone come through?
are you ****ing dumb? a terabyte harddrive costs like fifty dollars.
The main issue is that monsters despawn , you would constantly need someone in range to prevent that. Monsters despawn especially fast during the day. On top of that , you need to shield skeletons from sunlight throughout the rail track.
how is that an issue? the skeletons are only necessary when there are players around. if there isn't someone in range (it's a far range) then you don't need skeletons.
someone posted it i think in the original post. it looked like those double staircases in mansions, like what you get if you google images "double staircase"
can i get a link to that thread or the picture? it looked really cool and i am trying to replicate it but it doesn't look right.
How would lapis appear in old chunks?
I'm sorry but sometimes I think some people on this foum are a little...
I mean, how would a NEW material suddenly show up in OLD chunks?
How would it appear?
Until you give me a good explanation for lapis appear in OLD chunks I'll think of people who as this questions as .
If you give me a GOOD and REASONABLE explanation for it to appear in OLD chunks then I'll be the
Deal?
PS:Don't give me a mod warning, being a isn't necessairly bad
i hope you aren't implying that that's what i was asking, because if so you might be the kind of idiot you are talking about.
i want to know if the block will be in new chunks of an old world. which is why i said "new chunks in an old world"

because i haven't seen either one and i've played my main a lot since they came out, whereas every new world i make has squid.
