Hey,

I'm running a stunningly fast MacBook Minecraft runs stunningly slow for whatever reason, but hey, thats just a feature of the game, or the problem of my mac.

Anyhow, thats not why I opened this topic. The game will eventually run faster, no doubt, but in the meantime, wouldn't it be nice to have a map-size-selector (talking about survival mode here) before the game actually loads itself?

Now I have to wait till game loads, and then load a small map because my tiny processor can't take the weight of the huge mapness of the medium map. I didn't even dare to try out the large map. Afraid my computer will just go in flames.

Allright, allright, I'm just kidding, but the thing is a map-size-selector before loading and spawning and carving and soiling and then redoing it again would be a nice addon..

example:

hand/arm mines dirt in (I dunno, I'll say a number): 2 seconds.
but if you had stone, it would mine dirt in: 1.5 seconds.

My guess is it needs to be confirmed that it is a general bug or glitch, not the result of client hack or use of external plugin or something else.

I think you could help a lot if you wrote down how you got this bug, you said opening and closing tabs, from a mac using safari and the like..

any additional info that could help recreating this bug would make them people's jobs easier :-)

Not to mention griefers will not destroy your creations, just simply build a box around it or obstruct the door..
