    Is there any simple way to know which commands persist in the map even when opened by someone w/o SPC installed?

    /mobdamage for example, I learned persists when I made my first adventure map. Oops!
    What other universal commands persist? Time speed? weather or time controls? Creeper explosion setting?
    Is this an already-been-answered question? Is it an easy one for simo to answer? Does it require science and experimentation?

    Just a little annoying little cock-up here.
    I like cats in minecraft so I decided to spawn in an Ocelot.
    I couldn't so I went on Spawn List and saw that you have spelt it wrong, you have spelt it as Ozelot.
    I love the mod, its just this is a bit annoying.
    When they were first introduced, they were spelled with the 'z' officially (at least, that was the spelling on the wiki). Perhaps that's still the way it is spelled in the programming. The wiki says it's the savegame ID.

    I'm having some issues with some mob spawners I put in with world edit. They work fine for the pig that naturally comes up when I input the command but when i use the single player command /spawner mob name the mini image in the spawner disappears and nothing spawns. Its like it breaks it. What can I do to fix this, or is there another way to get mob spawners?

    It's probably a spelling issue; unfortunately, it makes a pig spawner by default, and if the name isn't right, it doesn't return an error.

    Type
    /spawn list
    to get the list of mobs as used by the mod. Note the capitalization. /spawner Zombie and /spawner zombie are not the same.

    And/or use the numeric values instead.

    I need a little help from you.

    I've done some research on WE commands, and if I'm correct these 3 commands don't nor have they ever worked with SPC,
    //regen - (not functional with SPC) - Regenerate the selection region.
    //tree [type] - (not functional with SPC) - Switch to the tree tool. Available types [tree, regular, big, bigtree, redwood, sequoia, tallredwood, tallsequoia, birch, white, whitebark, pine, randredwood, randomredwood, anyredwood, rand, random.
    //remove <type> <radius> - (not functional with SPC) - Remove nearby entities. Type can be "items" for loose items/drops, arrows, boats, minecarts, or tnt.

    I suspect if the //remove is not functional that these don't work as well;
    //removeabove [size] [height] - Remove blocks above your head.
    //removebelow [size] [height] - Remove blocks below your feet.
    //removenear [block] [size] - Remove blocks near you.

    Am I correct? If true we probably need ask simo to modify the WE command list,
    TIA
    Lou

    Using current SPC and an updated WE

    //regen doesn't seem to do anything, but returns no error, I've never used it before today
    //tree works fine; I've used it before, never had any problems with it
    //remove doesn't seem to work. No error returned.
    //removeabove and //removebelow work just fine
    ditto //removenear

    Having a lot of fun. A few "well, wtf am I supposed to do here?" moments, but it's tough to say if that's just me having a thick moment. When I finally figure out what to do I can usually see how I should have got there more simply.

    Right now trying to figure out what to do int he "reflect / reflect" maze. Pretty sure I've been in every room and found the fountain, but can't figure out what to do there.

    Edit to add: Ah, found it. I think I wasted more than an hour in there.

    I found out that using the //replace command with any of the newer blocks using WorldEdit doesn't work. Using //set command with one of the new blocks also crashes the game. Please fix this :/

    Worldedit is a separate program. Check with them.

    Good day chaps, Ok, Thanks for reading my post... I can see you took the time to read it Indeed!

    Now, are you all blind? Or illiterate? Because I quite clearly said "The area that it selected was not somewhere I had been that day" so this leads me to my first point! How can I check something I haven't been near? Point 2, How can I undo something when the Game crashed, which I did say. And thanks Dragoncent who clearly took the time to read it because He actually suggested help and backed me up with the glitch :Diamond: :) Now, Please take something away from this... Learn to read (Y) Also, Learn what a glitch is and how minecraft works... If it selects something I havent been near and is over 40 blocks away, How is this a fault of mine and please enlighten me on how to check this when the co-ordinates are all correct. I wonder if you'll read this properly...
    Well, since you asked...

    When a selection is made, it tells you the coordinates of the selection and the total number of blocks enclosed. I don't know how it could possibly have selected something nowhere near you, but an overlarge selection should be obvious if you get int he habit of looking for the block count.

    @ xlander;
    I'll go to great lengths to help someone that wants to learn but, the MSgt in me expects that before they scream help they have tried to resolve their own problem.
    If I had 25¢ for every time I see a question with the exact same question answered immediately above, my retirement fund would be much greater.
    Engaging one's brain is key to solving any problem. I just want to see it engaged before the "Help" plea is added here. I think it a reasonable request.
    Lou
    Always engage your brain before engaging your vocal chords (or keyboard) and all will think you a much wiser person!!!

    The brush command binds to whatever is currently in your hand --- tools only. You tried the command with a block of stone in your hand.

    Hey, thanks for the help simo_415... I didn't actually need to use WorldEdit though. I got very lucky and managed to remove the water slowly with //drain 10 which freed up some of the lag. I then began to remove a giant circular area of water 100+ blocks high around my structure using increments of //drain 100 at a time.

    It's all gone now and the lag is completely gone, but the land surrounding my house is a barren wasteland and huge chunks of the ocean are missing, as well as some rivers.

    Here's a picture of the destruction: http://i761.photobuc...77/atlantis.jpg

    I hope anyone reading this will realize the severity of messing with Single Player Commands: /atlantis. I had to deal with insane lag and stress to remove the massive flooding this command will cause. I removed over 2,000,000+ water blocks before it was over.

    So if anyone is thinking about randomly entering in a command just to see what it does for kicks, THINK AGAIN. You've been warned.
    //drain *is* a worldedit command.

    Nope, it really doesn't, not since 1.1 -- at least for an awful lot of us.

    I read back a few pages, and I didn't find anything about this -- is it known whether the newer versions are going have any particular features/fixes?
