Yeah, It was mostly inspired by the thaumcraft 2 thing that did the same.
It could probably be used for something related within Thaumcraft though, After all it's named: Vis Reactor.
You could probably find some uses for converting vis into electrical energy(Lightning) in higher tiers.
Well, it could be another type of power source for people how happen to either playing FTB or who have something like buildcraft, redpower, or what have you installed along with Thaumcraft 3. After all, it could be a much safer source of large amounts of power than a nuclear reactor.
Hmm... you know, I had some ideas for Thaumcraft... maybe I should write them up. I mean, what the hell, couldnt hurt to let other people see them and comment...
Suggestion: Replace the current less than usefull special ability of the pickaxe of the core with one simaler to the axe of the stream. Mining blocks from the farthest of a particular type or ore to you. That's something that could be very usefull.
