I think that the driver compatibility broke. I have a graphics driver update but can no longer update because the Toshiba driver is no longer compatible with windows after an update.
It's an older laptop? Windows 10 has a bad habit of saying that a PC is compatible just because it meets the bare minimum, even though it doesn't have GPU driver support for many older systems.
Check manually for your GPU drivers anyhow, not through Windows, use your manufacturers website for drivers.
If you have no luck then your only options will be to rollback like I suggested or upgrade hardware.
How could that be the case if the user already stated that the user didn't recall any major changes taken place?
And where did he say that? Nowhere.
Have a look at his posts and tell me you're sure he even knows how to check.
You clearly don't know what you're talking about, AND you're quoting things OP never even said. If you want to argue semantics then "frames went from 80 to a constant 1 fps for no reason" must mean there is NO reason.
Or.. there IS a reason, and your idea of "hardware must be degrading" is the least likely of many possible causes.
Giving bad advice (although yours doesn't even count as advice) is worse than giving no advice at all. And if you still want to argue that you're right, explain why you think his hardware is degrading. I'd like to know how you came to that "conclusion". I guarantee he'll state that other games are working just fine.
OP has most likely forgotten about this already and moved on, but if not - post a screenshot with F3 details showing and tell us which OS you're using.
I could only conclude your hardware must be degrading.
Ohh, now I understand why you're against using backups... you have no idea what you're talking about!
Nice conclusion though, probably around 1% possible cause.
What is MUCH more likely is that a forced Windows update broke GPU driver compatibility, and OP needs to either update GPU drivers or just use restore to eliminate the update which caused the issue in the first place.
OP just post a screenshot with F3 details showing, and tell us which OS you're using.
That's "fine and dandy" but we first need to know what the user did so the user can avoid doing it again. Finally if you can fix it without restoring it always better than immediately reverting to a backup.
To sum it up, only use backups if you know what the failure even was, and ONLY if it the only suitable solution.
Cool, let me know how that turns out.
His posts give so much insight to the cause, I'm sure you can figure out a better solution.
sp614x do you collaborate with Karyonix on the integrated shaders side of Optifine?
A while back I asked Karyonix about the "cylinder of visibility" when using shaders (how it differs from the normal sphere of visibility), seeing the ground no matter what your height is. Link
I was just wondering if you had any insight on what might be changed, if it's worth the effort of changing it, and if performance would be increased by any notable amount?
Oh no! My bone block is terrible! (the polar bear is just a placeholder too)
At least I think the nether wart block came out ok-ish
EDIT:
Hmm... Any idea why the pack won't load? I can't get it to load in vanilla or Optifine, and I can't see any obvious problems. It just won't show up in the resource packs list.
Hey Schlutt, are you guys looking for more players?
Hey, cool name!
Yes we're always happy for new people to join, right now it's limited to "older" players (late-teens at a minimum).
Please read through the OP and let us know if it sounds good to you. Hope to hear from you soon!
We are older players, no need for plots or commands because you can just choose an area to build. If it isn't on top of another players building it's ok! And I'm always happy to help find good places to build.
There are shops, but only for decoration. You can take what you need. We share supplies (but you can keep anything that you make for yourself).

Did you just go full retard?
You didn't even quote anything relevant.
Read what he just posted.
And then quit before you embarrass yourself any further.

Just use restore (assuming Windows OS).

Here's a better bone block + top
Made from the skeleton mob's palette.

It's our 4th anniversary!
Existing players come celebrate together this weekend!

Looks pretty good, nice texture.
I think the missing texture list is done though?

As long as you're not talking about Windows 10 edition, yes the Java version worlds work on PC or Mac.
