I have a question about the Spawner GUI mod. Can I use this to change what's spawned for an adventure map, even to people who won't have the mod installed? Does the changed spawner stick? What if it's used in SMP?
try not installing BiomeCaves, BattleTowers cause those to mess with world generation it could be that the same file those edit aether mod its so when you goto the aether it has no code to build it with so it crashes
Thanks, that seemed to do it.
So note to the topic, I guess, mods that mess with the world generation tend to cause issues.
I'm close to positive I installed it properly. I know how to install mods, after all. As for conflicting item ids, I've had that happen to me before, but I'd get an error. Well, anyway, the mods I'm using, other than Aether and co, are just BiomeCaves, BattleTowers, MoCreatures, and Weapons. Only the latter two should be adding new items, but I know from comments in this thread that neither cause conflicts.
So what might be a problem that would allow Minecraft to run correctly (no errors on startup), but freeze up upon actually trying to generate the Aether?
My game freezes up about halfway through 'Building terrain' upon entering the Aether. I'm pretty sure I installed the mods correctly; I've gotten no error messages when I run Minecraft through the terminal. I'm also fairly certain that the game is actually frozen up and it's not just taking up a long time. Any ideas?
When spawning, you sometimes spawn inside a block, even though there isn't one there. The block disappears and you hear a damage sound, but you don't take damage. While this doesn't affect game play, it does get annoying.
This is not true. I was actually killed by this bug, so you do take damage. Furthermore, it seems like all your items disappear.
I can't destroy minecarts. This doesn't seem to be listed on Minecraft Wiki as a game bug, and the only other mods I have installed are ModLoader, AudioMod, and SpawnerGUI, so I think SPC is the most likely culprit. Anyone else have this problem?
I've been running Minecraft.jar through the terminal to look at errors in case I misinstall the mods, but I'm no longer getting an error, it's just crashing without explanation. Well, almost; Minecraft displays the crash screen, but it's on there for an instant, too fast for me to read or printscreen it to see the error.
The reason I'm posting this here is that the point where it stops is:
Overriding /gui/items.png with /sdk/itemGrapplingHook.png @ 62
Stopping!
Not sure whether it's this mod's fault or not; I'm also using several other Risugami mods and Single-Player Commands, but this is basically my only lead.

I don't understand how you can not have problems. Both the Nuke and the SpecialBlockSpawner definitely share the same ID.
