Oh, and PS...
NOT a surprise, that Minecraft sale has slowed down. People wont buy it anymore, because it's ruined. When Minecraft first appeared, it got like 10 million sales, in a short time. Now, about a year have been, and we have now 11,5 million sales. Why? You know why.
Or X360 version. Why it got 4 million sales in a month, and then it stopped? Because that they noticed 4J is WAY too lazy to update it, and published it as a BETA, instead of the FULL version, and 1 update takes about 4 months.
By now, most of the baseline of folks who want the game have already acquired it. Some children are getting old enough to ask for a copy, some folks are just discovering it finally and will buy it, some folks who wanted it all along are going to end up having the money now or having access to a credit card to buy it, but overall anything that doesn't have ongoing costs will reach a saturation point and sales slow.

We've got this working together just fine, actually. Rei's, WMLL, Optifine, Signtags (redundant with WMLL but we had enough old signs to install it anyway out of habit),ToggleSneak, and Modloader are all installed internally for a "vanilla" base config, and then for our Inficraft servers Forge is in a seperate jar with all of the above then Infi core/base/hybrid modules all load externally via MagicLauncher, if I remember right. Looks to be the case looking over MagicLauncher settings....
We're a few versions out of date so the "4096 fix" was packaged with Infi and not Forge; this may mean if you want a jar file suitable for use in both configs you kick Forge to being outside as well now.

That's really screwed up, actually. All the SMP servers I play on have trees very close to spawn...in most cases, MANY more trees than they started with! All it took was an extra sapling or two and it always made more sense to grow the forests so everyone could have plenty of accessible resources, including brand new players.
Admittedly, my very first server was tight...spawn was at a series of small islands in ocean biome, right on the edge of a peninsula of plains that stretches for around half a km, with a small forest and a few extreme hills for flavor. The very closest islands got bombed out quick because the entire server was a bunch of noobs...the admin had about an hour's worth of experience playing the game when he opened it. No one INTENDED for it to happen, it was just a matter of not having any idea what to do, swimming for the nearest anything, and getting dark with creepers about.
There was a medium sized island nearby with one tree, out the opposite way from the mainland. I ended up claiming that island, building a fairly modest home and regrowing that one tree into about 15, with a standing agreement that anyone is welcome to cut any tree any time so long as they replant a sapling in its place.
Two more islands that kinda-sorta survived that first night realtime got terraformed once we had a better idea what was going on and also planted with trees. The peninsula got planted. The outpost near the desert had a whole artificial freaking forest planted, enough so that a second-wave player thought his client bugged, claiming it said plains but "sure looked like forest!".
All it takes is a little cooperation....and to tame an area as small as the one in the experiment? Should have been able to mine enough resources for everyone to have a suit of armor and sword, enough tools, and eventually simply enough coal to make torches and fully secure the entire area, above and below ground.

One thing to note...he was running a single player game in LAN mode for this. We're both using MagicLauncher 0.9.8 and identical jar files, but I'm on Vista x64 with 64 bit Java, and he's on XP using 32 bit Java. Dunno if that even might matter, but our MC setups are identical; his is a copy directly from mine. I was completely unaffected by this, other than the rightmost block on the same row as the placed item changing its icon to match the placed item, but correcting to the proper item after being picked up once. Always had the correct count of items.

Awesome, thank you. Long as I know I didn't make a stupid mistake while trying to figure things out!
Ran into that too, appreciate the fact you're already on it, mDiyo!
Few min with creative for "GM reimbursements" and all is well, since mDiyo confirmed I didn't mangle the actual process.

Ok, so what is the proper way to convert it? Is there even any clean way to upgrade from a 1.1 server directly to 1.2.5? I made a backup, then cleared everything out of the folder except the world folder, server.properties, and things like the whitelist and ops list, then put in the 1.2.5 server jar and installed mods.
As it stands, I'm not especially averse to just using creative or commands to replace the stuff that was lost. It's just me and hubby, so no one's going to fuss about "cheating" to cover unavoidable losses. Just trying to learn for next time...

I'm using InfiBlocks, InfiTools, InfiHybrids, Infi2x2, InfiBase, and the 4096 fix. No Orizon, none of the rest of the optional things. No offense, just not my thing.
Quite a few of my items are missing or changed. Some I know came from Balkon's Infiweapons, so I'm not surprised they're gone, but some of the substitutions are very odd on other things. Also, my Oresmelter is missing. Can't even find it in Creative.
Did I botch this up somehow?
